We love staying at this location! 3rd year for our annual beach vacation. It’s close enough to the beach but also quick access to the main road to go to St Augustine. And we can bring the pups who love having a back yard to chase lizards in. All the amenities you could need including full size washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffeemaker and Keurig maker, adult-size coffee mugs (no 8-oz cups please!), full stove and oven, microwave, two full bathrooms, and a large TV with streaming options. And that’s on top of the fenced-in backyard with a full size gas grill. You get a starter set of everything you need and there’s local grocery stores/dollar general for additional needs. Oh and there’s 3 adult bicycles in the garage for beach cruising. This year we discovered the Grouper Shack by the Cats Paw Marina for affordable seafood (18 for 3 clusters of steamed snow crab legs!).
Great location for the beach and all the St Augustine restaurants and sites.
House comfortably sleeps six. Very well located to St Augustine historic area and Palm Coast. Butler Beach is a beautiful beach just blocks away. Very pet friendly home and neighborhood. Home has great fenced in patio and yard. Host is easily accessible if needed. Will return. This was our second time staying here.
This is a great home to stay at. You can relax and get away from everything. It's a short walk to the beach, great restaurants close by and the property manager is excellent!
The house is fabulous and the location can’t be beat! The three bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the living room has ample seating.
St. Augustine has much to offer and this is a great place to start. The beach is two blocks away and downtown is only a few miles. There’s something for everyone.
The owners have done a great job with the house and we’d definitely rent this again!
This was the perfect rental for our family vacation. AWESOME price for what it offered. Close to the beach, clean, roomy but cozy, well appointed. We had everything we needed. Only wish we could have stayed longer. If we ever get back down to St Augustine, we will definitely check this property for availability.

Loved the property. Close beach access for my morning run. Patio was great to sit and enjoy the morning cup of coffee. Plenty of room. Property owner, Dawn, was beyond responsive! So amazing! Loved the stay and definitely recommend this property!
This was a good space for us, adult couple in 50s, and my parents. The house met our needs perfectly. The location was close enough to downtown St Augustine but good to be few miles out also. The walk to the beach was fairly close and made for a nice afternoon walk.
We loved gathering on the veranda in back, the two youngsters loved the swing, and it is a lovely house. Everything worked well, and we all had a good time.
The house was clean and well maintained. Loved the open floor plan. Loved the gated back patio so the kids could eat outside if they wanted to. Quick ride to the beach and other things. Quiet neighborhood. Will be back.
WOW !!!!! We were amazed. Three Bedrooms, two bathrooms and spacious. We contacted the host a couple of times, no problem... just something we did not understand and the Host was gracious and understanding. We highly recommend this property. The property is located on A1A in Butler Beach and has a path behind the Property so you can walk to Beach without walking beside A1A.
We are repeat customers and our recent stay was even better than the first time. Dawn is a great PM and reached out to us about potential solicitors (they didn’t try while we were there so it wasn’t an issue), but we really appreciate the head’s up. The location is in a great spot for access to the beach whether walking or biking, or a quick jump onto A1A to head into St Augustine’s. Pro tip that we didn’t learn until the last day: head into St Augustine’s after 4PM; the weather significantly cools off by then for walking along St George Street. The house had pretty much everything you could need including hand soap! We did have to pick up some laundry detergent and extra paper towels but pretty much anything you’d need is already there. There’s a grill on the back deck and plenty of grilling utensils, 3 bikes available to bike around the area, beach chairs, and great outdoor seating on the back deck. Major plus was no mosquitos! The shower pressure is awesome, the internet is top notch and there is plenty of space for a family of 5 and two 50-lbs doodles! Very comfortable place for a beach getaway.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION
Location was well situated. Cleanliness was not good– I opened the couch ottoman and noticed poor cleaning. Both garbage cans were full and there was bad odor in the garage throughout our stay. The most disappointing thing was the BBQ. It was a mess, unusable, and we had to scratch the meal since it needed a deep clean. Garage door issues, but finally resolved. Thank you.
We really enjoyed our experience staying at this home! The location to the beach was a very easy walk and the beach itself wasn’t crowded and was beautiful. You are also located perfectly for heading to great food or making the drive into downtown. The description of the home was spot on and we were really happy it allowed for our 70lb German Shepherd. The only few things that I would say was the home wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Walking on the floors would make your feet black, which to a degree is due to pets being allowed and being near a beach but I do feel they could have been cleaner. Lastly the HVAC was not working for us, this wasn’t horrible because there were ceiling fans and it was cooler weather so we could open the windows at night for a cross breeze but it did make it feel sticky and stagnant in the house and the AC would have been nice. Overall very very happy with the experience and would stay here again.
Loved the house and location. The walk to the beach was short and easy. The only drawback was that we brought our boat and did not have anywhere to park it. The dirt road that comes up behind the house was open enough to drive our car and truck through but not a boat. However, about 5 miles south of the house on A1A on Crescent beach is a boat landing called Devil's Elbow. They have a gated property and only charged us $10.00 a day to leave our boat there. The landing is a little short at low tide but I was able to load and unload my 22ft CC. They also have a bait store, ice, snacks and drinks which also made it easier. I would recommend these folks if you decide to bring your boat on VACA with you.. Outside of that, the house and property was awesome, We will stay there again the next time we go back to St Augustine..
We had a great week at this rental. It was larger than expected which was perfect for my husband, his two sons (both taller than me) and our two 50-lbs doodles! The fenced in back yard was especially great; it is primarily stone but wraps around on either side to grass which was easy for cleanup! And there’s a hose and spigot for rinsing sand away. I did purchase a small air tight Tupperware to store the doggy waste until we were able to throw it in the beach trash cans (which there were daily excursions to the beach with us being a few blocks away anyway). The home itself was spacious and very clean. We were comfortable and had a great stay. The boys gave the Internet two thumbs up (as avid gamers who HAVE to travel with laptops to stay connected). The bikes in the garage were a treat to use as well. St Augustine was a short 15-min drive and was a very quaint experience. St. George street reminded us of a safer New Orleans but with beaches nearby! For the 21+, try the blueberry daiquiri Popsicle from Hyppos. Of note, I can’t recommend Commanders Shellfish Camp; not sure how the seafood boil doesn’t come with clams when that is a claim to fame for your restaurant! But Redfrog and Mctoads has a red (tomato based) clam chowder that was awesome. Definitely don’t miss out on this rental!
This 3-bedroom home was 2 blocks from the beach - a really nice beach! There is so much to do in the area! Great restaurants, Anastasia Island State Park, close to St Augustine. Dawn was very responsive to our needs while there.
So the rest of the story . . . this house was very dirty and needs a DEEP clean! The base boards were black, pictures and ceiling fans had a half inch of dust on them (no exaggeration)! First thing my husband did was buy Tilex and spray down the master bath shower - the grout had a lot of black in it. I had to clean the guest bedroom and hall bathroom to welcome my guests. I found a blow up mattress under the bed, jammed up by the head of the bed, so I know the floors were never completely cleaned. The kitchen countertops were crusted with food. The oven needs to be cleaned and the fridge as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT CLEANING SERVICE AND A FOLLOW-UP ON THEIR SERVICE. The two bigger beds were comfortable however the king (in the master) did not have pillow cases for the pillows - just pillow shams. We did not use the twin beds. The clothes washer and dryer were good and the dishwasher effective. The beach chairs could be more substantial. The bikes in the garage need repairs- only one of three is working. I’m not one to criticize our rentals but felt this needed to be said.
We really enjoyed this VRBO. It was convenient to the beach and other local attractions and services. We have family that live in the area and we came to visit them, but decided to have our own space. The house was pleasant, bright and comfortable. It had what we needed for cooking and eating (breakfast and easy lunches/dinner).
A couple of suggestions:
1. Put together a binder about your VRBO that explains how to get internet access, get to the beach, and what your house rules are. The guestbook is a nice touch. A prior renter did not pick up their pet mess and we spent an afternoon cleaning up a lot of large piles, which may have been avoided if it was clear to clean up after Fido. It also means your signs around the house can come down because there is a central information hub. Almost all of the other VRBOs we have stayed in had one.
2. The master bedroom mattress is very soft, we had to sleep close to the middle of the bed in order to avoid rolling out of it. The other mattresses were great.
3. The light on the back of the house does not work.
4. Just an FYI for any guests who travel with small dogs, there are some gaps under the fence they could get under if you’re not paying attention.
We had a minor issue that I messaged Dawn about and she was very responsive. Overall, a very nice home away from home. We would stay again.
Wonderful property with a 5 minute walk on neighborhood streets to an uncrowded, pristine beach. Restaurants and grocery stores were minutes away. Property does have some aging fixtures and a bit of water damage from careless tenants, but overall we were quite satisfied for the location, price, and amenities. Cleanliness was average, but I understand that finding an outstanding cleaning service able to turn over such an expansive, pet-friendly property in 5 hours is virtually impossible at the price point at which the property is offered. We look forward to staying here again. Be sure to bring your own beach towels and beach shoes. The beach is very wide at low tide and the sand is broiling hot. We are grateful to the owner for sharing this fantastic property.
Host was very quick to respond and friendly. We were two families staying down there for a college graduation and really enjoyed the house. It had a large living/dining room space with a great back patio. The walk to the beach was 5 minutes and an easy walk. There was beach chairs, toys, and bikes which our group was quite happy with. We would stay there again anytime!
The property was just as the listing described. The property was clean and maintained. It was great to be able to walk out the door and be at the beach within minutes! Dawn was quick to answer and help resolve any issues we had. I honestly could not have asked for a better rental experience and look forward to booking again in the future.
Excellent location in terms of beach access and a wide variety of culinary delights. Not to mention the incredible old town of St Augustine just a short drive away. Nice enclosed backyard to relax after time spent walking or sunbathing at the beach
