1908 Victorian Farmhouse Unit A

Nestled along tree-lined Bluff Creek in Edmond, Oklahoma, our property is a perfect setting for your getaway! From our wrap-around porch to our leisure swimming pool, as well our 15 acres of beautiful Oklahoma landscape in the midst of 40 acres of farmland, we believe you will feel right at home. We are located only 20 minutes away from Will Rogers World Airport, 20 minutes away from Downtown OKC and only 15 minutes away from Downtown Edmond.

No parties allowed. No pets allowed. No more than 9 people allowed on the property at any given time.

Thanks for your interest in our property! We find that our guests who have the most enjoyable visits are aware of some unique things about our property. Please be aware of the following:

--No Laundry Facilities on the Property

--Privacy:

We want to let you know that our property is a working wedding venue with office hours in the cottage across the driveway from the unit (closed on Mondays). There may be showings to prospective brides and grooms on the exterior of the property, but they will not come in-doors, or onto the porches, or into the pool area. Also, there is a Unit B on the same property. You will share the porches, pool and parking areas with the guests in Unit B.

--Access:

We do not allow any more than 9 guests on the property for Unit A through the VRBO booking at any given time with one exception: If you want to host a small pool or house party with up to 15 people, you will need to select the "add an additional guest" option for an additional $300. This will give you the ability to have up to a total of 9 people sleep on the property, but have an additional 6 people on the property during the day/evening who must leave the property by 11pm each night. We do not allow our Unit A guests to use the historic Barn on the property. You can certainly look at it and walk into it, but no events may be held in it, and the electricity will not be connected in the Barn so there will be no lights or plugs. If you'd like to use the Barn for a wedding or special event, please contact Barn At The Woods through our website for access.

With all of that being said, we are in the middle of 40 acres of farmland and we back up to a creek, so you will have beautiful surroundings which we hope you will enjoy!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and store extra beds
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please bring all towels and dishes in from the pool area.
Take advantage of our trash compactors! Any other trash please leave in bags INSIDE the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
All dishes must be loaded into dishwasher and run by checkout
All trash must be taken to the blue dumpster outside by the garage.
We ask that you shut off any music or loud noises by 11pm. The owner of the property occupies the unit on the other side of the house.

Andrew and Chelsea operate The Barn at the Woods wedding venue alongside Andrew's Mom, Jennifer. Together, they have been in business since 2014. In 2020, they decided to open the large two-story farmhouse which is typically used for dressing areas for the brides and grooms at the wedding venue to overnight stays through VRBO.

Why they chose this property

Our space is unique in the sense that our barn and farmhouse were both built before Oklahoma even became a state! The moment you step onto our property, it feels like you've gone back to simpler times and you can let the rest of the world melt away for the duration of your stay.

The 5500 square feet of building space is divided into two separate units. This listing is for Unit B with a red front door by the garages. Unit B has two bedrooms (all upstairs) and 2.5 bathrooms, with roughly 2700 square feet of living space.

You CANNOT book ‘EVENTS’ such as parties or weddings via our Airbnb. Nor can you use the barn space for ANY purpose. If you are looking to use our space for ANY event or gathering with more than 8 people, you will need to contact The Barn at the Woods in Edmond, Oklahoma. you are looking for an extended "stay-cation" or a one-night "get-away," our property is the perfect fit for relaxation and fun. With the comfortable Unit B 2 bedroom Victorian Farmhouse wrap-around porch and pool area, it's easy to connect with nature while also being close to the city for a night out.
