This is a gem. Conveniently located, spacious, well-stocked, and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The street noise, along with the weekend night time tavern crowd, was noticeable but that was to be expected given the central location. In addition to the lovely accommodations, I appreciated our host and his responsiveness to my inquiries. It was an excellent stay.

We loved our stay at this property. It did take a while to bring all our luggage down from the back road, down the back stairs and around to the front door. We were four women in our 70s with not just luggage but also large golf travel bags, but we figured it out, and one we entered the home, the effort was well worth it! David was very easy to work with, answered all our questions etc and the house is lovely and very comfortable. We had plenty of room to gather in the evenings. And the real bonus was its location and walkability to absolutely everything. Loved it!

Property was very well located in Inverness for walking to shops, restaurants, grocery store, bustrain stations, and day trips in the Highlands to St Andrews, Speyside, Loch Ness, and Fort William for the Jacobite train. Host was responsive to our questions/requests and gave good recommendations to us. House was clean and spacious. We had varying number of family members there for our stay, ranging from 3-6 adults, and 2 toddlers.

This place is AMAZING. Great views of the Castle, close walking distance to the town Centre (less than 10 minutes walking), and David makes parking a BREEZE with an Inverness parking permit. We would absolutely return on our next visit!! Truly, this is a gem of a find. 11/10!!

We had an incredible stay at the Dunvegan property! Everything about it was fantastic! The central location was perfect and the house was more than comfortable for our group. David was a kind, gracious and communicative host. We highly recommend staying at Dunvegan and truly hope to return some day. This area of Scotland is beautiful!!!

The house was absolutely perfect for my family's stay. Matches the pictures perfectly, so much space but also felt cosy. Can't get a better location - the castle is right there and so is a great pub and several restaurants. Could easily walk everywhere I needed to go. David was super helpful and provided all of the information needed to have an easy stay.

Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps the warmth and excitement of your experience:Beautiful period property with thoughtful modern updates that made our stay both comfortable and full of character. The kitchen was fully furnished if you would like to cook and the bathrooms had great showers with plenty of warm water. The location was absolutely amazing — just steps from the castle, where we enjoyed the Castle Experience. Restaurants and shopping were all within a quick walk, making it easy to explore the area without needing transportation. A must-visit is the Victorian Market. The food hall was a perfect spot to grab lunch, with plenty of options for everyone. We would absolutely stay here again!

Dunvegan-Inverness is the perfect place for your get-away to the highlands; very convenient for seeing the city on foot, particularly as it is in the shadow of Inverness Castle and very close to the River Walk, and easily escaping by car to the attractions in the area. David was very helpful and responsive, the perfect host. The house is roomy, elegant, functional, and clean. Parking pass with nearby spots always available made the visit by car worry-free.

This was such a wonderful stay it right across the street from the Castle Tavern. The rooms were very comfortable. If you have a group I would definitely stay here and enjoy the stay. It very walkable to restaurants and bars. The kitchen is great we used it to make breakfast.

Fantastic stay

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Great location. Magda the house keeper was a total gem. Would stay here again without hesitation. Only negative was parking and ease of getting luggage in and out, but can't be helped.

This location was perfect. A short walk to main downtown, fun pub just across the street. This house has so much character and love the renovations done. Very cozy, clean and we enjoyed are stay here. There are a number of steps from street level to get up to the house.

Great location. Old and thats the best part.

Very comfortable with good water pressure and comfortable beds. Great location for exploring town and restaurants. Kentucky bourbon available at the liquor stores. Clean and well supplied kitchen.
