Pine Point Beach!! Only a short distance to the pristine white sands, this fantastic property offers two living spaces! The main house sleeps 6 and offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The main house has a new full bath, new second story windows, bedroom addition, updated plumbing & electrical, newer kitchen, new second story roof-deck with sunset views over the marsh. Laundry and window a/c's.

Great 4 days!

The property was as described and ideally located for beach access! Rooms were spacious enough for our group of 4 and we were able to see downtown Portland pretty easily while also being secluded from all the traffic and hustle of downtown.

First Visit to Maine

We enjoyed our first visit to Portland and the house was exactly as shown in the pictures. The bathrooms and kitchen utensils need a little TLC. All is all it was a great stay and will be back.

Our Third Year

This was our third summer staying at the beach house and cottage. Our favorite things about this place are the rooftop deck, the quick trip to the beach, and the hosts communication. It is in a quiet neighborhood and our adult children love that the walk to the beach is safe for young ones as they are getting everyone and all the beach gear down and back to the beach each day. "Beach Week" is our grandchildren's favorite activity of the summer and we are grateful that we get to enjoy the time with them.

Perfect Location, Excellent communication

Visited Maine for wedding and this property served as our home away from home for week. The owners were tremendous with their communication and made several great recommendations for local activity. House was great and met all expectations. Fully equipped with anything you might need in a short or long term stay. Location was fantastic and allowed for easy access to the beach for long walks and beutiful sunrise/sunsets.

Family Beach Week

This is the second summer we have booked this property and are looking forward to next year. We booked both the house and cottage for our family of 8 adults, 4 children and 2 infants. Oozes New England!

Had a wonderful vacation at Jason and Kyla's place in Pine Point with my extended family and new grandaughter. Easy access to the beach, adorable neighborhood for walks and central location for day trips to Kennebunkport, Portland and Boothbay Harbor made for a fun filled week. Hosts were so helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Nautical decorating theme throughout the house and cottage was perfect. Walk to as much seafood as you can eat! We will be back!

Family Memories

House was very centrally located to a ton of activities plus the beach which was only a 5 minute walk if that. The Host of the house was amazing. Had great communication readily available if you had questions. Sent us a ton of information in a email around restaurants, activities, things to do, etc. Thank you for making our stay a moment that we will all look back on years from now and reminisce about all the memories we made.

Family Beach Week

We are a family of 8 adults and 4 children (two are toddlers) and we rented both the house and cottage. We found the common areas were enough to accommodate us all and bedrooms enough for everyone. With extra tables and chairs provided there was room for us all to eat together either in the living area or on the roof top deck (which we so enjoyed!) Jason was a great host, responding quickly to any questions and happy to help. Quick walk to the beach even for the toddlers and a quiet neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this property.

Thankful to have found it.

We found comfort and peace at a difficult time staying at the Highland's property. The booking was last minute with family coming from as far as Hawaii to grieve and celebrate the loss of my mother. Jason was super accommodating and the house was just right for our needs. My Mom would have loved that we were able to swim in the ocean, one of her favorite pastimes, following the funeral. I think she sent us beautiful weather just so we could. If you get the chance to rent this house, don't hesitate!

Good hosts

The hosts were very responsive and accommodating to resolve some bumps we ran into (cleanliness, towels not washed, no sponge/paper towels, microwave issues). Also the AC window units were not set-up for the season and we did not go with the exepectation that we'd need to haul them up from the basement ourselves. If it wasn't cool weather during our stay, we'd have been very uncomfortable, but luckily this was not the case. With some small tweaks and fixing-up, we'd definitely recommend this place as the property was in a good location, quiet neighborhood and we very much wanted to like the home. Again, hosts were great.

Weekend in Maine

The house had lots of space for our party of 6 adults. We were in Maine for the New England Parkinson's Bike Ride. We loved the home and the location. There were a few problems. The kitchen drawers holding the silverware and utensils were dirty with crumbs and dirt. Also most of the pots and pans were dirty and greasy and had to washed before we could use them. There were ants in the kitchen. The comforter on the bed in the downstairs bedroom was stained and the rug in that room was really dirty. There were no dishtowels for the kitchen. The bath towels and hand towels could have been a little better also. In spite of these deficiencies, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Shaky start

When we arrived the house was without heat. Furnace was not working. Owner contacted and he called a repair person immediately who came as soon as available. Unfortunately we were without heat for over 3 hours. Temperature in house was 53 degrees Beds were cold and damp feeling. There were not enough clean extra blankets available. Upstairs bathroom drain plug was broken. There was no extra rolls of toilet paper. Parking is only for 2 small cars The location was great. Could walk to beach Restaurants near by Quiet area

I am very pleased to report that we were able to get a service technician out to the house within 3 hours (after business hours). Nonetheless your feedback is valued and my wife has already restocked the toilet paper :). We'll add some extra blankets for those cooler spring days. Hopefully the near perfect sunny 70 degree weekend warmed things up. We are able to park our two suvs(snuggly) in the driveway.

Jason was a very responsive host. When we had questions, he responded very quickly. The house was in a great location and had very good space. However, the place wasn't cleaned very well. When we walked around the main spaces with socks, they had accumulated pet hair, and we were not travelling with a pet. Also, we were asked to strip the beds and wash all of the bedding prior to checking out along with putting the clean bedding back on the beds if possible. This seemed like an unreasonable request since we were charged a cleaning fee of 250, and with checkout at 11:00, the time to get 5 sets of bedding washed and dried was unreasonable.When we arrived, there was bedding sitting on top of the dryer along with more inside the dryer and other bedding in a basket. Upon inquiry, Jason informed us that the laundry in the basket was dirty, and the laundry on top of the dryer was clean. The basement is not finished, and the windows are left open at all times. Hopefully, the bedding on top of the dryer was washed again before putting on a bed for renters. We did wash one set of bedding/towels and put them in the dryer before checking out along with putting a second set of bedding in the wash machine. We were also asked to run the dishwasher prior to leaving. There was no dishwasher soap, so we were not able to do this.
