In the heart of a traditional stone hamlet in the beautiful Mialet Valley, you’ll be welcomed by a couple of artisans (ceramists).
Our cottage is cosy and spacious, perfect for a family with children or four adults.
The apartment features a living room with a TV and internet, a dining area, and an open-concept, fully equipped kitchen. On the same level is a bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower stall.
Upstairs is a large attic-style loft; one section, separated by a partition and a thick curtain, features a 160-bed. In the other section, there are two beds—one 120 and one 90.
Private access is via a cobblestone path. Outside, you’ll find a storage shed for bikes, and you can enjoy a relaxing area on the property near a very old bread oven.
Just a two-minute walk away, the Gardon de Mialet River offers several superb swimming spots with sunny rocks. The hamlet of Luziers is also the starting point for numerous hikes suitable for all ages. Donkey rides are also available in the hamlet. You can reach many of the valley’s attractions without taking your car!
3.5 km away: the famous Prafrance Bamboo Garden
2 km away: the Trabuc Caves
0.5 km away: the Desert Museum
7 km away: Anduze, with its markets, shops, and quaint narrow streets. The little Cévennes steam train will take you through the valleys to St. Jean du Gard (with its very famous Tuesday market).
And within an hour’s drive, you’ll find Nîmes and its Roman treasures, Uzès and the Pont du Gard, the Cévennes coastal road and Florac, as well as numerous picturesque villages such as St. Jean du Gard, Vézenobres, and Sommières. The sea is a 1.5-hour drive away; you can spend the day in the Camargue and return to the tranquility of the Cévennes in the evening.
