As parents of a UO alum, we know how special visits to Eugene can be! Whether you're gathering for graduation, a wedding, a sporting event, a concert, or simply time together, Deer Wood Manor offers a spacious and comfortable home away from home for families and friends.

Located in Eugene's beautiful Fairmount neighborhood, you'll be just blocks from the University of Oregon, Hayward Field and Matthew Knight Arena. Walk through the neighborhood to local favorites like Beppe & Gianni's and Sweet Life—while completely avoiding event-day traffic.

And when you're ready to relax, come home to beautiful surroundings, comfortable spaces and some truly spectacular sunset views.

The Space
Deer Wood Manor was made for gathering.

The home is especially well suited for multi-generational families, multiple couples, and groups of friends traveling together. There is plenty of room to gather, but also enough space for everyone to relax and have some privacy.

Three of the four bedrooms are conveniently located on the main floor, so there are no stairs required to reach them. Two bedrooms have a private bathrooms.
The fourth bedroom is located on the lower level and can be arranged as either two XL twin beds or one California king—just let us know your preference before arrival and we'll have it ready for you.

Also downstairs is a separate full bathroom with a bathtub and a private den with a flat-screen TV and queen sleeper sofa. The den can easily serve as an additional sleeping space and is especially nice for kids or teenagers.
We have chosen comfortable beds, furniture and linens with one goal in mind: we want Deer Wood Manor to feel like home—maybe even a little better!

A Kitchen Made for Gathering

Our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for morning coffee, family breakfasts, holiday meals or dinner after a day exploring Eugene.
If there's something you need and we don't have it, please ask. We want you to have everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Outdoor Living & Sunset Views

Step outside and enjoy the trees, flowers and peaceful surroundings of the Fairmount neighborhood.
The outdoor dining area and barbecue make it easy to enjoy meals together outside. And in the evening, pour a glass of wine, settle in with family or friends and enjoy one of our favorite things about Deer Wood Manor—the beautiful sunset views.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire home and backyard.
Please park in the carport only and leave the spaces in front of the garages available for guests staying in the apartment.
There is a separate two-bedroom apartment above the garage. Apartment guests have their own accommodations and their own backyard space.

We loved staying in this gorgeous house. It was beautiful and private. The house was clean and well stocked. The views are amazing in the day time and at night. There giant trees in the back of the house and deer outside our windows. The house has lots of space and is set up for comfort. It is located close to everything. Also the host was wonderful! We will definitely stay here again! 10/10 !

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The pictures really didn’t do the house justice—it was even more spacious, comfortable, and welcoming in person. The views were beautiful, and we appreciated the thoughtful snacks waiting for us after a long day of travel. The pull-out sofa in the den worked perfectly for the kids, and they loved having their own space to relax. Kathy was a great host with clear, friendly communication throughout our stay. Overall, a great place to stay and one we’d happily return to!

Just Perfect!

This house was perfect in every way! The location is perfect with incredible views from every room! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and then some. The owner is so kind and responsive. This house is our favorite in Eugene. We loved our stay and will definitely book again for our future visits!

Perfect Eugene location

Very well located east campus house in great neighborhood accessible to anything near the University. We’re big walkers so being so close to our favorite parks and neighborhoods was a real plus. Views of Hayward Field and Autzen Stadium from the deck were great. Definitely will return here our next trip to Eugene. Host Kathy was very responsive to questions and requests.

Beautiful property

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. The views were amazing! We felt like we were nestled in the trees, it was very private. We loved seeing the deer around the home. The house accommodated our every need. It was spacious, clean and well stocked with towels and the kitchen was probably the best stocked kitchen we’ve seen in a vacation home. House had plenty of beds and bathrooms. We were within walking distance of Hayward Field (the purpose of our stay was for a track meet). We were also within walking distance of a cute little area that had a few quaint restaurants, a pastry shop and a yummy ice cream shop. If we are ever in Eugene again, we would definitely stay here!

Great house, no hot tub

The home is gorgeous. The pictures truly do not do it justice. The listening states there is a hot tub but there isn’t a hot tub. Which was highly disappointing. The listening also doesn’t state that the property actually has two residents on it. The main house (we rented) and an auxiliary unit that was also rented at the same time. It was fine but not known ahead.

A Wonderful Place to Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property! They had everything we needed and more, including food storage containers for leftovers which most places almost never have. The location is great--very close to campus but still very quiet. We even had a deer come into the backyard! My family and I stayed at this property during the record setting heatwave in Eugene and the A/C kept the entire house wonderfully cool. Communication with the owners was also fast and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Great House, Great Location

This place was really nice and the hosts were very responsive. The location is great and it is located very close to the University of Oregon, easy walk to campus. The view from the house is also nice and it is cool to see the stadium from the deck. The place is very clean and well stocked, we had everything we needed. The hosts were great and provided us a lot of good information and detail prior to our trip. Definitely recommend this house if you are planning to stay in Eugene.

There should be mention that the garage and living area above the garage is not part of the rental and the downstairs photos really didn't look anything like the images on the website. the 360 degree pics only allow of disappointment on space size. Perfect home

This home is tucked away in a lovely, quiet neighborhood.... very close to the University of Oregon. If fact, we could see Hayward Field AND Autzen Stadium from our deck. The home is well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable... plenty of dishes and glassware, pots and pans, some spices, coffee (yes!!!), etc. All of the bedrooms were light, bright, and very comfortable. We would definitely rent this home again!

The accuracy of the property description is not very accurate and seemed little old. Plumbing is old and had minor issues with flushing toilets and setting temperature in the shower faucet. Living room lighting was low. Other than those it was a nice house and had a stay without any major issues.

This is a lovely home.

This property is beautiful, close to the University of Oregon and Northwest Christian University. It is large enough to sleep eight and entertain additional visitors comfortably. During our stay, the youngsters gathered in the downstairs area while the adults congregated in the roomy kitchen and other common areas on the first floor. Outside lighting was an issue because those lights were on timers that did not coincide with the onset of darkness. Management acted rapidly to rectify the issue during our stay. There was some confusion about how we should dispose of refuse in outdoor receptacles. I can recommend this property wholeheartedly.

We are parents of a past U of O graduate. We know what it is like to visit our daughter and want to have quality family time together, just like home. We would come up thinking we would be eating at restaurants and stay in hotels, but our daughter just wanted a home cooked meal.

So we bought this amazing home in the Fairmount District of Eugene, Deer Wood Manor. It gave our family that feeling of home that we enjoy with our daughter and her friends. We now want to share Deer Wood Manor as a vacation rental to other U of O families who want to visit the Eugene area and have that same experience. We fell in Love with U of O and Eugene; we know you will too! There is so much to see and do in Oregon.

This place is perfect for Christmas, Thanksgiving, family reunions, and graduation. Please text or call for more information as needed.
