Hilary thanks for the lovely review and leaving the house spotless. Unfortunately I must have pushed the wrong response re having you stay again. I WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE YOU STAY AGAIN, IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE!!
Win was amazing and very cooperative and helpful with booking g our stay. They were very flexible and the property was adorable and well stocked. She was very communicative with any concerns (there were none) and was helpful in asking if there was anything we needed. They stocked some apples from the orchard which were amazing. The place was clean and they were great about leaving a booklet of instructions, orientation to the area, and other important information. The property was great for pets and ours loved it. Thank you so much Win for being a great host!

Thank you Jenny. I very pleased you were happy with your stay and it provided a small step toward transitioning to a new country and a new life. I hope everything goes well.
'Nau mai haere mai ki Heretaunga hau kinui = welcome to Heretaunga of the life giving dews.' This is a Māori proverb which refers to the life giving resources of the Heretaunga ( Hastings) plains where you now currently reside. And the weather has improved! Ngā mihi Win.
Everything was perfect. Hosts responsive and friendly and generous. Beds comfortable. Lots of room. Private house with lovely homely feeling. Many extra amenities. Easy to drive to Havelock north and other connecting areas.Highly recommend

Sorry Margaret I accidently did something to say I wouldn't rent to you again. I most certainly would rent to you again. Great guests, Highly recommend.
The cottage was super clean and tidy, and complete with great appliances including a barista coffee machine. Beautiful linen on super comfy beds, and the rooms were good sizes. Loved that we could take our dog, and we enjoyed walks through the orchard. Would highly recommend this property and we’ll definitely be back.
We loved this beautiful house! It was old meets new, a lovely quaint house with all the mod cons you needed. Everything was thought of, we could have even baked a cake if we'd felt like it! It was very clean and felt homely and comfortable. We loved walking around the orchards and sitting on the deck watching the birds and bunnies We came away feeling very relaxed and recharged, thank you!
We loved the cottage from the moment we arrived. Its old world charm, but extremely comfortable presentation, was a delight. The welcome notes and information was truly hospitable. Everything worked, food offerings and amenities abundant. Thank you, wouldve loved to have stayed longer.
This is a charming character cottage, clean , comfortable and well-equipped. The only downside-and it was a disappointment that we had not been warned-was the very noisy roadworks on the boundary of the property which last until July 2026. Heavy machinery was operating all day, starting at 07.30, spoiling the tranquility of the garden.

My apologies for not letting you know about this Ray. The roadworks were reasonably quiet when I was last up there. But obviously have gotten closer to the cottage. Will keep this in mind for future guests.
Nice older property. Rather cluttered with too much furniture. Inadequate hanging space in bedrooms and few clothes hangers. Stove and microwave not straightforward to use but appliance Manuals available.Didn't use the tv but it kept coming on at odd times!!Fencing broken so garden not dog proof.
