TUI PONGO

This Kiwi Bach has a great location, right in the centre of Ocean Beach Rd, and has easy access to the ocean beach only a two minute walk, whilst enjoying a completely private setting.
Sun filled morning and afternoon decks give the bach a superb indoor outdoor flow.
The native bird sanctuary that has a tidal steam flowing behind the property makes it a paradice for the bird life, imparticular our native Tui. Kayaks are available at the bach so you can explore the creek, right out to the harbour.
Well kept gardens are fantastic for children and the pohutakwa tree is idyllically positioned to appreciate.
Within a few minutes drive is Saliors Grave Beach and Otara Bay. Further on to the famous Hot Water Beach/Cathederal Cove, only a 20 minute drive.
Endless activities for all visitors.
Tairua has wonderful walking tracks which include beach, bush and mountain tracks.

Hello, and thank you for your comments. The wild bird life is wonderful at all different times of the year, due to the bird reserve directly behind the Bach. Hopefully you saw the two quail families with their 14 babies and the wild pheasants Tui in abundance are around in spring darting everywhere, enjoying the flax bushes. Thank you. 😀�

Great holiday destonation

Beautiful garden and back yard, great location 2 minutes walking to the beach and 15 mon walk to the town. Private spacious and the dogs loved the big garden and the creek at the back of the property. Great value for money

Perfect stay!

The Bach was just what our family needed for a few days to unwind after travelling from Australia. We loved the beach just across the road, the yard was a big hit with the kids too. The Fire place was lovely to take the chill off the air. The place was comfortable and homely and great location to explore the Coromandel. Thanks for the great stay!

Loved the big section - private with lovely trees and shrubs and even a rope swing! Excellent barbecue and living spaces inside and out.. everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach.

Relaxing bach in great location

A true NZ bach, with most of the essentials and in a lovely location, a short hop to the beach. It was comfortable, and our wee dog loved cooling off in the stream out back.

We loved this traditional kiwi bach. Perfect for the 5 of us plus dog. Absolutely everything we needed. Cosy fire for wet winter days. Easy walking access to village and beach.

Paradise in Tairua

A absolute gem of a bach in Tairua, great location, right by the main beach, and also backs on to a stream that flows into the main harbour, (Kayaks provided) Tidy, clean and has everything you need and more for the quintessential kiwi beach experiance.... loved it.

A complete unwind

Great stay! Family all commented how well they slept! Great location. House had everything me needed. The property isn’t fenced so all eyes were on the dog as she would wander off! Would definitely recommend.

Family Holiday

Loved the location the beach is a 5 minute or less walk. Loved the home. Everything was wonderful. Only suggestion would be to get a few new pans. They are pretty bad but that is the only negative thing I can say. Loved staying there.

A Restful Retreat

We had a lovely quiet few days in a great location, close to the ocean beach and listening to the birds. The bach is as described and was very clean and tidy. Comfortable and warm beds, the fireplace and heater were good with the cold weather. Suited our family and dog well. Thanks
