Situated between Central Queenstown and Arrowtown, Wellswood Cottage is within 10 minutes of the Airport, Remarkables Park Shopping Centre and the newly developed 5 Mile Retail Centre. The 82 sq/meter Wellswood Cottage is a home away from your own which offers luxury cottage living in a peaceful and convenient location. The cottage is situated adjacent to the main house on its own section. Ideal for business travellers. Availablity calender may not be correct as other booking avenues are in use, so please enquire. An outside Weber B B Q is provided outside. Please read House rules before booking

Loved the cottage! It was a great location for us between Queenstown and Wineries with airport, grocery store and everything needed close by. The accommodations were so comfortable and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. I would stay there again and gladly recommend it to friends. Great hosts with great communication.

Absolutely lovely

This is the perfect place to stay: great location, fabulous hosts, and the cottage is done to the highest standard. I spent a month here and didn't want to leave. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this property....everything about it is truly wonderful!

Spent a wonderful 7 nights in this gorgeous cottage. Comfort was outstanding and very well appointed. We did not want for anything. We looked forward to coming home after a big day out and the area is so peaceful. Grocery shopping centre is only a few minutes drive away. Our host was lovely and approachable. Would definitely stay again on our return to Queenstown.

What a wonderful place run by such wonderful people!! If I could rate Jan & his cottage higher, I would. The place is so cosy, immaculate & perfect for a couple. It’s in a beautiful culdesac, located in a great spot for jumping off & exploring. We didn’t want to be in the centre of Queenstown, & this place was exactly what we needed as a base. We actually stayed home & cooked a few nights as the place was so lovely. And what a bed!!! We’ve found our new Queenstown accommodation, we will absolutely be back. Thank you Jan!

Wonderful Stay Outside Queenstown

This place was fantastic for visiting the Queenstown area. It was really nice that it was just outside of town which made it faster to get to most of the attractions around the area. We homebased here for a couple days while visiting the South Island and Jan and Vicky couldn't have been better hosts. Truly appreciate the hospitality! The home is well equipped and super clean. 5 stars all around.

A perfect cottage!

My friend and I were blown away by Jan's cottage! It was even better than the photos and was so perfectly cozy and well appointed. I loved that it's away from the bustle of Queenstown and just so lovely. Jan went above and beyond to welcome us, even driving us to the bus stop before our tour to Milford Sound so we didn't have to pay for parking. We loved getting local advice from him and movie recommendations! We will certainly be back!

Amazing cottage in a peaceful location

We had the pleasure of a three night stay at Jan and Vicki's cottage. Having stayed in a large number of holiday rentals over a number of years, this is by far the best. The cottage is charming and furnished to a very high standard. It was also extrenely clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The residential location is so peaceful and an ideal base for exploring Queenstown and beyond. Jan and Vicki are fantastic hosts and were also kind enough to allow us flexibility with check-in and check-out times. This will be our first choice for any future visit to the Queenstown area.

Incredible find

From the moment we walked into this amazing property we felt welcomed. Jon and Vicky are wonderful hosts and in this house we could simply have stayed for weeks and weeks. Very comfortable, private, beautifully appointed. I had a back injury happen and this family went the extra mile to find me very qualified, professional care. All the comforts of home

Beautiful! The apartment is separate from the owners home, on a quiet street. Loved the location between Queenstown and Arrowtown. Includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, large bedroom and kitchen, as well as outside seating. Kitchen was fully stocked with all appliances. Everything was clean and very well maintained. Owners were very helpful with everything we needed to know about Queenstown. Loved it!

From the moment we set foot inside, my partner and I were completely delighted with this quiet, charming cottage. It was the perfect home base for our stay. The shops of Franktown are a quick 5-minute drive. Alternatively, If you prefer a stroll through epic scenery, you can walk along the Queenstown trail. Queenstown and Arrowtown are both within a 15-minute drive.The cottage itself is quaint and charming, but with all the modern amenities, including a well-appointed kitchen, strong, reliable wi-fi and a lovely, large shower in the bathroom.The property is at the end of the cul-de-sac in a quiet, hillside neighbourhood. We slept *very*well at night. There is a beautiful wisteria-covered patio out front and beautiful gardens on the property.Jan, the owner, was a consummate host. He made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, shared invaluable tips on things to do in the area, and even drove us into Queenstown to catch an early bus to Milford Sound.Vicky made sure the cottage was spotless on our arrival, and even did a mid-week clean during our 10-day stay.This is a true gem! My partner and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Lower Shotover stunner

We had a wonderful stay at Wellswood cottage. It is charming in a lovely private setting, very clean and with high quality fixtures and fittings. It is ideally located between Arrowtown, Queenstown and the Gibbston Valley with the Lower Shotover river close by. Jan and Vicki were very welcoming hosts, always helpful but not intrusive. They gave us lots of advice re walks and things to do in the region. We highly recommend . J and D Toronto

Lovely cabin, well equipped, helpful owner

I can't praise this place enough. Jan was super helpful, both in making the reservation and when we had an emergency during our stay. (The emergency was unrelated to the rental.) The house itself is nicely laid out and nicely appointed, with well-thought-out dishes/utensils in the kitchen so it could be used for actual cooking. And the knives were sharp - a rarity in my experience with rentals! The house was very clean and organized. The location is just minutes from Frankton, with anything you could want in a retail area, and just a bit more to Queenstown itself. Or a pretty little drive to Arrowtown.

Perfection

This cottage was a highlight of our stay! It is located in a very beautiful neighborhood and almost every yard had a beautiful garden. Including this property. They have a beautiful patio that everyone who stays there should enjoy after a long day of exploring. The cottage itself is stunning and a designer's dream. I loved thebiverall desin so much, I will probably try to replicate it in my house. Especially the bathroom. Everything looks and feels high end, but comfortable and lived-in. If you have a car, it's a no-brainer to stay on this property.
