The Space:
A remodeled 1BR house one block off Harrison Avenue, in one of Leadville's historic residential blocks with an aspen grove on site. Everything's within a five-minute walk — but the street stays quiet.
➔ Living room
Open living and dining space with a smart TV, warm wood interior, and a historic wood-burning stove (decorative — electric heaters keep the house warm).
➔ Kitchen
Fully remodeled and stocked for real cooking: full-size appliances, crockpot, blender, and a french press. Dining table seats the whole household.
➔ Bedroom
One queen bed with plenty of storage. Sleeps 2.
➔ Bathroom
Fully remodeled, with a giant walk-in shower and room to move.
➔ Work + laundry
Dedicated electric standing/sitting desk with 300 Mbps WiFi, plus a new in-unit washer and dryer.
3 Pros:
+ One block to Main Street — walk to everything downtown
+ Kitchen and bathroom both fully remodeled
+ Real remote-work setup: 300 Mbps WiFi + standing desk
2 Cons:
– No A/C — Leadville sits at 10,150 ft and rarely needs it
– Sleeps 2 in one queen; best for couples or solo travelers, not groups
Guest Access:
You'll have private access to the entire house for your stay — no shared spaces or other guests. Self check-in with a keypad; free street parking is right out front on West 4th. Check-in details and a full guidebook arrive by email before arrival.
The Neighborhood:
You're one block off Harrison Avenue, Leadville's historic Main Street, in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's a 5-minute walk to shops, coffee, and restaurants, and about the same to the Healy House Museum. Leadville is the highest incorporated city in North America at 10,150 ft, ringed by Colorado's two tallest peaks. In winter, Ski Cooper is 15 minutes away and Copper Mountain 30; in summer, trailheads, Turquoise Lake, and Twin Lakes are all a short drive.
Getting Around:
Bring your car — there's usually plenty of free street parking right in front of the house on West 4th Street. Downtown Leadville is walkable from the door: 5 minutes to Harrison Avenue shops and restaurants. Ski Cooper is a 15-minute drive, Copper Mountain 30 minutes, and Leadville sits right on Highway 24 for easy access to Vail, Buena Vista, and the I-70 corridor.
Other Things to Note:
License # 002216
No air conditioning — at 10,150 ft, Leadville nights stay cool and you won't need it.
This home is not pet friendly.
Altitude is real: Leadville sits above 10,000 ft, and some guests feel dizziness or nausea the first day. We can't refund altitude-related issues, so if you're sensitive we recommend travel insurance at booking.
Mountain setting: you may occasionally notice local insects or small critters. We treat and seal the home thoroughly — keeping doors closed helps.
Stays longer than 15 nights require a mid-stay cleaning ($150), which keeps the home comfortable for longer visits.
Interaction with Guests:
Our Traverse team is a message away throughout your stay and typically replies within the hour. Check-in is self-service with a keypad, so you can arrive on your own schedule, and we'll send full instructions plus a local guidebook before you get here. Prefer space? We'll stay out of your way — just reach out any time you need us.
