We were in town for a funeral. To say the host went above and beyond to turn a bad situation as bright as possible would be a huge understatement! The beautiful house along with the kind treatment really did make us feel better. We can't wait to be able to visit again when we can more enjoy this beautiful beach house! Thank you again!

Did I mention the Bald Eagles soaring in front of our windows??Nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Very close to the town and far enough for quiet. We had a couple of questions that were immediately addressed by the owners. I would happily stay here again.
Amazing location with beautiful panoramic window view of Bellingham Bay. Manicured lawns and path to beach. Great for fair weather stays or cozy views out the window with a fire.Ammenities were basic but functional. Quick and friendly communication from local host.
Perfect location with easy commute to WWU and Civic Stadium! Beautiful view to wake up to and sip our morning Java! Brought our dogs and took them for walks around the quiet neighborhood. Host was easy and wonderful to communicate with.

Could be a great vacation rental with lots of work
The property could be really nice, however, it was not very clean, there was no hot water in the shower, the advertisement said it had central heat and air, and when we texted the owner to ask how to turn on the heat she said the HVAC wasn't being installed for another week or so. The listing also claimed to have a sleeper sofa in the living room but it did not. Lastly, and most importantly, the owners home is connected to the rental via a door, which has no lock on the rental side and at one point, when we complained about no hot water, the owner just opened the door to give us an update and just yelled, "hello, hello", without knocking or coming to the front door! We were very uncomfortable after that, knowing that they could/would enter our space at any time without any prior notice.

After following up with them, they wanted to share the following:-We are confident the home was professionally cleaned and ready for your stay. While you reached out for other reasons during your visit, no cleanliness concerns were mentioned at the time. Guests are encouraged to notify us immediately if anything is amiss so it can be promptly addressed.-The hot water heater was inspected by a certified plumber after your stay, and no issues were identified. This hasn’t been a problem for prior or subsequent guests, and we will continue to monitor it to ensure there are no issues in the future.-The HVAC system is currently being updated. During your stay, the heating was fully functional, and space heaters were promptly provided upon your request to ensure your comfort. The A/C installation is planned for the near future.-The property is connected to the owner’s home via a door, which was used to deliver the space heaters you requested. They recognize that this may have caused discomfort and are taking steps to install a locking deadbolt on the guest side to enhance privacy for future guests.-We acknowledge that the living room did not have a sleeper sofa as previously listed. This was an oversight, and the listing has since been updated to accurately reflect the current setup. Additionally, extra sleeping options have been added, and the occupancy limit adjusted to better accommodate future guests.Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback.
