*PLEASE NOTE* OUR FERRY GOES TO DRY DOCK ANNUALLY. THIS MEANS WE HAVE A THREE WEEK PERIOD WHERE WE HAVE A PASSENGER ONLY FERRY. THE DATES FOR 2024 WILL BE 5/18-6/15.
This charming, historic, and beautifully appointed beachfront house features two bedrooms (one room with an attached bath has a Queen bed and another room with a single bed) and sleeps three. The cottage is stocked with everything you will need for an easy getaway. Enjoy the large deck overlooking the breathtaking views of Mt. Baker and the Sisters, watch the ferry, the Whatcom Chief, sail back and forth, take a soak in the deep tub, read by the fireplace, put your kayak in the water, and adventure, or go for a bike ride or hike. You will find yourself within walking distance of the local Beach Store Cafe (just across the street but please check the website to see hours of operation as they are limited), and the local grocery store. Conveniently located only a five-minute walk to the ferry and on the picturesque 7-mile loop which is great for walking and bike riding. Despite the proximity to Vancouver BC and Seattle, Lummi Island feels like it is a 'world away'. The Beach House was built in 1933 and has a long history on Lummi Island, and at one time served as the local library. With a complete Sunset Magazine-worthy remodel couldn't be sweeter.

Relaxing on Lummi

We had a lovely time at the Beach House. We love watching the Ferry go to and fro and one day Mt Baker was stunning with how the sun glinted off the mountain! Loved having our dog with us too! :)

Great spot

So close to the ferry and shop and an exceptional view of Mount Baker. The Beach House was an unexpected winner for take out, including a delicious sundae. Beach was also an easy stroll to get to, which the dogs loved. So relaxing, I would def recommend for a small party

Loved everything about it. Lost power on the island for 2 hours first night and still couldn't lessen our love for this place. Will hopefully be back many times.

This delightful home with its up-close water views, location, place in the island's history and unique style was a particular joy and opportunity for them, as well as their families.
