We could see the English Channel from an upstairs window or walk a few minutes to get to the beach. The place was clean and the bedrooms were just right for a family of 4 upstairs and 3 or 4 adults downstairs. Our host was great to work with even though we arrived early due to our own error. We loved the children's book that told about the area.

The host provided excellent communication and the location and description of the property are accurate. Great large place for our family of 4 to stay for a couple days at the end of our longer trip. Great location to explore all the different area's and history along the coast.

Stay by the beach

The house was an ideal location for our visit to the D-Day beaches. With restaurants within walking distance and the beach just a block away, everything was incredibly convenient. The house itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and filled with natural light. The check-in process was seamless, and the host was highly responsive, making communication effortless. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

This was a great place to stay with my 94 year old father. The ground floor bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) are served by a good sized shower room. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The owner Thomas was very friendly and helpful. The house is very close to the beach and convenient for exploring WW2 sites etc

Nice location

The property is private, clean, modern, and roomy. Great communication with the host. The location was great for walking on the seaside and visiting the beaches of Normandy. It's convenient to the ferry. The downside, all of the beds (except for the twin beds upstairs) were very hard and without proper pillows. Only 1 of the 3 bikes was in working condition.

A lot of house for an amazing price and location!

We just loved our stay at this home. We are Americans traveling with our older children (22, 21 and 17) and we were traveling from London to Paris. We stayed at this home for the few days when we were touring the Dday memorial sites. We took a ferry from England to France, and our hosts were kind enough to offer to pick us up at the ferry they didn’t need to do that, but it was so helpful! They walked us around the property and helped us to feel at home. They home had four bedrooms as listed and two full showers, one upstairs and one downstairs, so it was easy for us to get ready daily without feeling like we were constantly in top of each other. The location was a half block from the sea and we took long walks through the town daily. On one walk to the grocery store through a quaint neighborhood, my husband and I stumbled upon a British cemetery. It was beautifully maintained and nested in between horse pastures. We ate crepes at a little food truck at the beach, visited the multiple boutiques near the pier, and had a great dinner at La Fabrique, which our hosts recommended. All in all, an amazing stay. We would definitely recommend!

Leider waren wir vom Zustand des Ferienhauses bei unserer Ankunft sehr enttäuscht. Das Haus war insgesamt sehr dreckig und ungepflegt.Unter anderem befand sich Schimmel am Kühlschrank, am Bett waren deutliche Flecken und am Mülleimer klebten noch Essensreste. Auch die Außengarnitur war so stark verschmutzt, dass man sie nicht nutzen konnte. Für uns hat das nichts mit einem sauberen und gepflegten Ferienhaus zu tun.Nachdem wir die Mängel beim Vermieter angesprochen hatten, reagierte dieser äußerst unfreundlich. Uns wurde gesagt, dass wir uns hier „nicht in einem Fünfsternehotel“ befinden würden. Außerdem hieß es sinngemäß, dass wir „viel Glück brauchen, um etwas zu finden, das unseren Ansprüchen entspricht“. Eine solche Reaktion auf berechtigte Hinweise zu Verschmutzungen und hygienischen Mängeln empfanden wir als völlig unangemessen.Statt die Mängel ernst zu nehmen, wurde lediglich darauf verwiesen, dass es sich um „normalen Verschleiß“ handele. Schimmel, Essensreste und eine völlig verdreckte Außengarnitur sind für uns jedoch kein normaler Verschleiß, sondern mangelnde Reinigung und Pflege.Zusätzlich wurden wir aufgefordert, uns selbst um den Mülltonnendienst zu kümmern. Auch das gehört unserer Meinung nach nicht zu den Aufgaben eines Urlaubsgastes.Insgesamt waren wir sehr enttäuscht – sowohl vom Zustand des Hauses als auch vom Umgang des Vermieters mit unserer Beschwerde. Wir können das Ferienhaus daher nicht weiterempfehlen.

Eu égard aux belles notes que je reçois habituellement, je ne comprends pas votre attitude. Il est facile de critiquer le ménage le jour du départ de la maison. Pourtant nous avons échanger par Whatsapp régulièrement et à aucun moment vous ne m'en avez parler. J'ajouterai également que lors de votre sortie, nous avons constaté les mêmes traces de pate de dentifrice, les mêmes miettes au même endroit. Entre autre ! Vous avez pourtant utiliser les lieux toute la semaine. C'est très étrange vous ne trouvez pas ? Si réellement, il y avait eu un ménage aussi défaillant vous me l'auriez indiqué lors de votre entrée dans les lieux et non à la fin. C'est un avis malhonnête et pour cette raison, je ne souhaite plus vous recevoir. Amis hôtes, faites très attention !
