This location was very quiet and relaxing. We were also conveniently located within 20 minutes from beaches, parks, boat and jet ski rentals and lazy river tubing. We had a relaxing and adventurous week.

Our long weekend stay at The Great Escape was wonderful! We traveled with two kids under 5 and 3 adults. There was plenty of space and it was really clean and inviting. I appreciated having a washer and dryer to use as well. The internet went out while we were there and the owner was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed going to the beach nearby while also traveling to West branch, Graying and Houghton Lake. Would definitely recommend and come back again! Thank you.

House was great, everything the listing said except we couldn’t figure out heat and couldn’t get in contact with anyone to figure it out so it was a extremely cold weekend

Girls Week

The house was clean and had plenty of room. We appreciated the two refrigerators. It was very quiet and private, great place for a Higgins lake getaway.

Property was as listed. The kichen had all most everything we needed. It was nice for them to have camp chairs and wagons to haul kids and things down to the lake.I would rent this place again.

We had a great time. This place had all we needed from bedding, towels to dishes and pots and pans. Many games were available, WiFi and a nice TV. Garage had chairs for around the firepit, bag chairs, wagons to pull things to the beach. I can’t say enough about how nice and spacious this house was. Angelo always answered any questions we had. Nice place even if it rains. Go and enjoy it!!

We have stayed at a few rentals in the area, and this one is officially my new favorite! I loved the layout of the house and how clean and well-kept everything was.The location was great—about a 10–15 minute walk to the Higgins Lake boat launch. We brought our boat with us, and it was very easy getting in and out. There is also plenty of parking, making it perfect for multiple families.Unfortunately, it rained for about half of our trip, but the covered porch was perfect for still being able to enjoy the outdoors and spend time together.We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again! :)
