About this property
The Tolpuddle Cottage
Glad that you have found our place!
This place is for you if you seek solitude, a quiet corner to rest. If you’re alone, let the silence wrap around you. If you come as a couple, you’ll love the summer rain tapping gently on the windows, the filtered sunlight weaving through long, solemn trees—inviting you to pause, to rediscover yourselves.
It does get dark after sunset! A few kookaburras will cry, remembering something distant, while a baby bat might circle above, searching for its nest.
If you’re here with friends, or your children, take a slow walk down to the river, fire up the BBQ, and watch the river flow. Then return, unwind, crack open a beer or two, and listen to the silence. The kind of silence that isn’t empty but deeper than the aching of your innermost soul.
