My husband and I visited with our Corgi for our mini honeymoon. We came down on a Monday and left Friday. It was a lovely little getaway. The only down side for me was the drive in and out of the city and to the beach got a little old. We liked the privacy and quiet of the neighborhood and appreciated the recommendations we were given!!!
We stayed for two nights with our cat and dog and this property was perfect for our needs. We attended a friend's wedding, checked out Folly Beach, and had breakfast at Black Magic. The neighborhood was great for walking the pets and there were lots of Halloween decorations up. The bed is very comfy and we have stayed in one room places before so we knew what to expect. The deck makes up for the lack of windows and the outdoor shower was a great idea to save space inside. Thanks for the stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here on James Island. It was the perfect location to be centrally located to everything. The size was perfect for just the two of us. Our favorite part was the outdoor shower and patio. We liked to sit outside under the lights at night! The only suggestion we would have is just a few Beach Towels to go to the beach with :) overall very wonderful stay!

Price is too high for what you get
A solid option but the property definitely needs some TLC. Pronounced mold smell is overwhelming when standing at the bathroom sink. No soap in the large soap dispenser at that sink. Coffee supplied only for two cups when husband and I were staying for three days. Only plastic silverware and paper plates and four ceramic coffee mugs provided. We ate our cereal out of the mugs with the plastic spoons. There was one plastic knife I had to use to cut up veggies--no surprise that didn't work well. All of the furnishings are worn and the outside chairs are so threadbare that it looks like if you sit on them they will rip. Gate to room doesn't close all of the way but it was nice to have an enclosed yard to stash our kayaks and bikes. The outdoor shower was fun. Quiet residential street. Owner left the morning after our late arrival so never met him. He promptly responded to my message asking for check-in instructions but wasn't proactively communicative. A tree fell down while we were there, for no apparent reason, nearly blocking the gate to the room and he texted asking about it after we checked out. The tree symbolizes the feel of the place--precarious and well-worn.

Great location!
Such a great location! Convenient to everything we wanted to do. Zaw was great and gave us some recommendations when we checked in. Only thing I would suggest is making sure people know that the cottage is located on the side of the host's house and no separate driveway, you park in the hosts personal driveway. Also, maybe do some landscaping/bush trimming of the main house. When pulling up to the house, it looked vacant and let go with overgrown trees/bushes. It was kind of offputting. The cottage was clean and comfortable for my husband and I. Our dog loved the fenced in yard. Overall it was a great weekend!

You get what you pay for…
I should know more than anyone you get what you pay for. If you want a bed to sleep in this is great. But if you value any bit of cleanliness you will be disappointed.
Great host and great place. You’re located perfectly situated between Charleston and Folly. About 15 to Charleston and the same to Folly (depending on traffic). The size is perfect for two people and our two dogs. Outdoor shower was pretty cool too
It was a nice little spot for our families first trip. My husband and I absolutely loved the outdoor shower and the host is extremely kind. We had a power outage due to a tropical storm and he gave us regular updates on the process. Couldn’t ask for a better host. Overall it was a great experience.
This cottage was located in a nice quiet neighborhood and only a 15 minute drive to Downtown Charleston. It was clean and very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here. I loved the outside shower too!
Property very true to description. Only surprise was outdoor shower only. Owner very easy to contact and all necessities were supplied. Would recommend!
Zaw is a most accommodating host.
Pizza place was close and one of the best I’ve been too.
Convenient location. Outside shower was a treat, hot water in cold temps.
Zaw was very accommodating. He was helpful with suggestions on things to do in the area. He was very prompt to answer all my questions and deal with any issues that arose at the cottage. Thank you Zaw, I had a wonderful trip and I will be back.
Zaw was a great owner and quick on any responses to any question or need I had. My favorite was how cute the property was decorated on the inside. The neighborhood was great for taking the dogs for walks and situated close to things while still being quiet. The yard was large and when Zaw texted to say he would be out of town he immediately offered us to let the dogs have the run of the yard.
This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay for our first anniversary trip! We brought our dog along, and it was great to have a small fenced-in yard to walk her in. We loved the outdoor shower. It definitely makes this place unique. We would love to stay again!
Small little cottage, but it had everything we needed for our quick little beach trip. Convenient location, less than 20 minutes to Charleston and Folly Beach.
I love this cabin, with its comfy bed, cheery decor and stylish bar/kitchen counter, and the getaway feeling it provides, in a large yard. This cabin is very convenient to Folly beach and the owner is kind, and has lots of suggestions of where to go locally to enjoy your stay in and near Charleston.
