We enjoyed the property except for the smell in the living room. Dog urine stains throughout that carpet produced an awful stench. That entire front room carpet and pad needs replacing. Once replaced because it’s a dog friendly rental it should be professionally cleaned every month. Although the cleaning staff for the most part does a decent job they don’t have the same carpet cleaning expertise as a professional carpet cleaner. It needs to be done or that carpet will again smell bad. Loved the back yard, kitchen had everything although the island needs to be moved back some to make it more spacious, kind of cramped. If there wasn’t that horrible stench the house could’ve received 4 or 5 stars. Hosts promised to look into the carpet, sure hope they replace the carpet and pad. Paid for 5 nights but only stayed 4 due to the smell.

We had a lovely stay at this South Lake Tahoe cabin. The hot tub was relaxing. The location couldn’t be better. The host was very communicative and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

Everything was great. There were a couple of unfortunate things that were not related to the house. The walking trail through the marsh to the lake was closed to dogs, leash or not, due to bird nesting so we had to travel to other nearby beaches.The water in the lake is so high right now, the beaches are essentially gone. We are very happy about a full lake...just missed being able to play in the sand. I expect we will be back!

We loved our stay in the cabin. The location is great, the yard is large, and they provided packets of necessities for our stay.That being said, for the price of the stay there are some improvements that could be made.We had a hard time finding extra towels so we could use the hot tub. If extra towels are not provided that is fine but should be noted in the listing. The hot tub also was not very hot and there were no instructions for use other than that two people are needed to take the cover off. The chlorine was also so strong we couldn't stay in it long.The upstairs king bed gave me a lot of shoulder pain and was so loud from slight movements that the person downstairs kept waking up.The remotes for the TV were confusing. There are instructions but only for one remote so you are left to figure out what the second one is for. Also was no info about the backyard so we didn't discover until the last day that there is a dog gate available to use.When we arrived the fridge smelled horrible. Also check out is at 10:00 which is excessively early. We couldnt be approved for a later check out until morning of because "sometimes last minute booking can happen."Overall we had a good time. The location is nice and quiet and walkable to food and Regan Beach. The hosts are readily available by text. But given the price I would expect there to be no issues like the ones we had.
