While the property had some positives, our overall experience was disappointing. The accommodation was a converted lower level of a two-storey home rather than a certified holiday rental. The main living area, which was a garage, served as the kitchen, dining, and lounge space, accessed only through one bedroom. The blocked staircase to the upper level also raised safety and compliance concerns.The bedrooms were adequate, with double beds of varying comfort, but cleanliness fell short of expectations. The bathroom had visible mould on the ceiling and stains around the toilet and sink. Limited hand soap was supplied, and hair was found in a kitchen cupboard. Overall, the property required a more thorough clean, particularly in corners and less visible areas.Minor maintenance issues included a torn quilt cover and a stained cushion. Although Wi-Fi was listed, no login details were provided. Communication with the owner was minimal, messages sent via the Stayz app were not answered, and we eventually had to make direct contact to obtain access information. Our message regarding a partial refund went unanswered.Positives: 2 out of 3 comfortable beds, convenient location near transport, and good shower pressure.
Areas for improvement: Cleanliness, communication, and compliance with holiday rental standards.
