Lovely home in a unique location. Close to all of downtown Worcester, with a backyard that provides a peaceful escape. I sat on the deck, enjoying the many birds perched along the lakeshore, including two bald eagles!

This property was phenomenal and the hosts were top notch. They had anything we could think of available throughout the house. The deck out back is an amazing spot to watch the sunrise. We didn’t have time to fish or kayak, but the waters were tempting and the fish were jumping! The hosts were quick to respond and easy to work with!

My wife and I spent three nights at this cottage in Worcester overlooking a section of Indian Lake. Cormorants hang out on a dead tree just offshore. The unit was clean and well decorated and everything worked fine. There is one off-street spot, otherwise there is not a lot of on-street parking. They have one kayak but we did not take advantage. There is a second rental unit in the lower level walkout basement that was unoccupied during our stay.

We were in Worcester for a semi-formal event, a convocation. The place was nice, the back looking out on the lake, with a comfortable bed. But I was surprised not to find a single hanger or place to hang my dress for occasion. There was a small iron but no apparent ironing board. Every room had closed off closets or cupboards for the owners, and that seemed a bit inconvenient for the renters. My mother-in-law was planning on coming and spending one night with us, but she had to cancel for health reasons. I was glad in some way because getting up the steep steps to the upstairs would have been difficult for her. They certainlly were not built to code! It would have been nice to know that in advance, as it would have affected our decision on where to stay.

Response from VrboOwner on 15 Sept 2025
From the Owner: "Thank you so much for your feedback! We’ll be sure to provide a couple of hangers for future guests. Thank you for the helpful suggestion. For your reference, the ironing board is located in the closet next to the slider door, should you return. You are correct that two closets are reserved for inventory/owner supplies, along with one cabinet and one attic space, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.Regarding accessibility, we never intend to mislead our guests. We’ve included details about the stairway access and the home’s layout (with bedrooms on the second floor) to help set clear expectations, though we completely understand how important accessibility is when choosing a home. This property may not be the best fit for those needing additional accessibility accommodations, but if you return to Worcester without that requirement, we’d be thrilled to host you again.Thank you once more for your reservation and thoughtful review!"

We made the right choice when we booked this lovely home. It provided a calm, beautiful place to relax after chaotic and exciting days the WPI robotics championships. Our family of five really enjoyed the lake and scenery. My husband even tried fishing off the dock a few times. Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay!
