We were thrilled with amazing and clean the venue was. The individual rooms for our guests were our favorite part, normally with this many beds/bedrooms we would need to have adults in bunkbeds

The property was wonderful and exactly as adverstised! The main log cabin was well stocked, and the cottages were cute and comfortable. However, communication and support from the property management company, Hill Country Premier Lodging, was lacking. It was difficult to get an accurate quote for the rental plus event barn with multiple added fees, as well as hard to get information about amenities on the property leading up to our stay.

Internet was not working part of the time, HVAC was broken and "would need to be replaced" in one cabin. Main cabin was dirty including oven was very dirty. My wife spent several hours cleaning stove, oven, countertops, cabinet surfaces, silverware, and drinking glasses. One burner on gas stove was broken. No instructions on how to operate gas stove or HVAC. We had to make several calls to the property manager and had internet and HVAC service call interruptions. The people were very nice and apologetic but simply put the facilities were not well prepared. Otherwise everything was fine and we had a great time with family.

We booked the entire property for a gathering of friends and it was perfect! The Ranch House is gorgeous, with plenty of room for everyone to gather. The wraparound porch gave space for folks to spread out, and the cabins allowed space for people to get away from the crowd when need be. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, and made meal preparation easy. There are two refrigerators, so plenty of room for food and drink. Our one complaint is that the description on the VRBO website was a bit confusing., and the information we got from the management company was not always accurate. We had our dog with us, which we clearly stated when we made the reservation. However, we learned at the last minute that the Ranch House is not pet friendly, only cabin #1 is pet friendly. Fortunately, she was perfectly happy sleeping on the porch, but it would have been better if the pet policy was described better. The grounds are large and there are fire rings with chairs at each group of three cabins. We asked about the availability of firewood and were told there wasn’t any, that we would have to bring our own.In fact, there is quite a lot of firewood in stacks which we were told by a maintenance worker we could use. We did not book the event barn, so I cannot comment on that, but it looks quite nice from the outside. Overall, we were completely satisfied with our stay at RusTX ranch, and everyone had a wonderful time.

I apologize for the confusion around the VRBO listing and the mixed messages from our team. You’re absolutely right: the Ranch House itself is not pet friendly; only Cabin #1 allows pets. We’ll update the listing and our internal communications to make the pet policy much clearer. I’m also sorry you were given conflicting information about firewood—maintenance confirmed there are stacked supplies on-site, and we’ll improve staff guidance and guest info so that’s consistent going forward. We spent 3 wonderful evenings at the RusTx Ranch for our annual Cousin Reunion. Individual cabins were comfortable with excellent air conditioning and hot water! The main log cabin was perfect for gathering and hanging out on the wrap around porch. Downtown Wimberley and grocery stores were a convenient 18 minutes away. We highly recommend the RusTx Ranch for any large scale gathering!

Property was good, if the grass could have been trimmed would have been great. Also if the barn could have been a little bit cheaper for people who rent the whole property, in addition with the heat we asked about sitting up a water slide for the children was told there was no outside water spouts, but there was one with a water hose attached, and the extra fee for over 35 guest did not understand when the property states can sleep up to 51 can sleep here, however we had a great time
