We stayed three nights (October 5–8) at the Lakeside Log Home with six adults and it made an excellent base for the Ark Encounter (about 15 minutes away) and the Creation Museum (about 45 minutes). The 4-bedroom / 4-bathroom layout worked well for our group, and the private dock on Williamstown Lake with the kayaks and canoes was a real plus — sunset over the lake was the easiest win of the trip. The arcade room was a nice bonus for downtime. We closed out our last night with an evening fire by the lake — a perfect end to the trip.

I’ve started in many Vrbo’s I rated 5 stars, but Lakeside Log Home was truly exceptional. Not only was everything clean, but everything was convenient and well laid out for us. Check-in was a breeze AB’s the checkout procedure and expectations made us feel like welcome guests. The whole experience, for scheduling to leaving, made us feel cared for. A beautiful place and a delight to visit.

This was such a great place! Since we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere while at the cabin, we were surprised at how close to town we were. The kitchen was well equipped, we loved the game room, and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately the jets didn't work in the tub but we loved everything else! It was super clean. I own a cabin resort and know what a challenge that can be so they get an A. We saw lots of geese, some deer, different birds and even an eagle while sitting on the deck. My group all loved it.
