Escape to the peaceful beauty of F.D. Roosevelt State Park in this cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bath mountain chalet surrounded by serene woodlands and rustic charm. Nestled in the heart of the park, this inviting retreat combines the warmth of a lodge-style interior with modern comforts, making it the perfect getaway for couples, friends, or outdoor enthusiasts.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen complete with a drip coffee pot, comfortable living spaces, an in-unit washer and dryer, a 55" Roku TV, and reliable fiber internet for streaming or remote work. Both bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds for a restful night's sleep.

The chalet’s rustic lodge-style design creates a warm mountain atmosphere, while large windows and multiple deck spaces bring the outdoors in. One queen bedroom is located in the loft and accessed by a spiral staircase, adding to the chalet’s unique mountain character. Please note that the spiral staircase may not be suitable for young children or guests with mobility concerns.

Step outside and enjoy three separate deck areas — two open-air decks and one covered deck — perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or simply relaxing in Adirondack chairs while overlooking peaceful woodlands. Fire up the propane grill for an easy outdoor dinner after a day of exploring.

Conveniently located just minutes from the Pine Mountain Trail, Callaway Gardens, Dowdell's Knob scenic overlook, and historic Warm Springs, this chalet offers easy access to hiking, sightseeing, nature, and local history while providing a quiet retreat to come home to. Parking is available for up to three vehicles. Please note that parking for the third vehicle requires blocking another parked vehicle. For arrival purposes, the physical address is 205 Royal Lodge Circle; however, the chalet itself is identified as Chalet #18 within the community.

Great mountain getaway! We really enjoyed staying at this nice A-frame chalet. The location was peaceful and quiet, with beautiful mountain surroundings. There are plenty of great places nearby, including FDR State Park, Callaway Gardens, the shops in Pine Mountain, and Warm Springs. A perfect spot for a relaxing change of scenery!

Happy Place was perfect for a surprise 32nd anniversary getaway! We had everything we needed. Plenty of movies, games/puzzles, and books for entertainment. Location is perfect for hiking the Pine Mountain Trail, going to Callaway and FDR, and more. Cabin is well-appointed and comfortable. We look forward to booking again!

Very quaint little A-frame that was great for a quick impromptu getaway! Loved the variety of non-digital entertainment and games available in the cabin. Very clean and experienced no issues to contact host about, but check-in and out information was provided clearly and promptly.

We could not have found a more beautiful, peaceful, cleaner, well-equipped and more centrally located home in which to enjoy this lovely area of Georgia! It was exactly the time of relaxation needed, with an upper deck to look out at a tranquil forest while drinking coffee or reading a book. Multiple deer were sighted on our excursions to explore the nearby towns, eat at local restaurants, and find scenic overlooks to watch the sunset. Host was wonderful!!! From check-in to check-out, everything about our stay was perfect! The chalet was even more beautiful in person than it looked in the pictures. You can tell so much thought and effort has gone into every little detail—from the matching lamps and cozy décor to the deck lights that made the evenings feel extra special. The entire place was beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly cozy.We also loved the huge collection of DVDs and games. It was one of those places where you could tell the owners really thought about what would make their guests feel at home and enjoy their time there.Our only tiny struggle was adjusting to the queen bed, but that’s really just because my husband and I are used to sleeping in a king (and we both snore, so we appreciate our personal space!). That’s definitely a “us” problem and not a reflection on the chalet at all.Overall, this was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a VRBO. The chalet was beautiful, thoughtfully put together, and such a wonderful place to spend a few days. We would absolutely stay here again!
