This little cottage is well appointed, warm, and cozy with a lovely deck and large backyard for astrophotography. And yet it sleeps 6 adults easily. Hosts are very responsive. It’s the thoughtful little touches as well that make this location a place we would return. Location is excellent! You can walk to most stores/restaurants. We loved our time here!

Lovely 3 bedroom cottage, very cosy, we visited Tekapo when it was quite cold, cottage was easy to keep warm. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great few nights at the cottage. Our stay was disrupted by the snow but that made it quite exciting! It was a beautifully cosy place to be when the outside temperatures were freezing. Lovely beds and linen. We had a fabulous time!

Wonderful cosy cottage, close to Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, we especially loved the deck and garden. Thanks for a great stay 🙂

Tekapo is beautiful but gett crowded.. the cottage was very cute comfortable and clean. All amenities were very good and the beds / linen was very comfortable. The main rd gives off a bit of noise but you are so close to town. Beautiful bach ! Thankful Mark

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Communication with our host, Paula, was great. She was always quick to reply provided helpful information. The cottage is very close to restaurants and shops so we could walk to these amenities. The cottage was very clean and tidy upon our arrival. We could stargaze from the back deck and we loved the fleece blankets that were provided for this purpose. Overall, a great place to stay.

Room is ok for the price and location. Really strong chemical odor in the room. Must be newly renovated. Makes one feel quite uncomfortably for the smell. Maybe should wait for a couple weeks to ease the odor before renting out.

The accommodation did not reflect what was showed in the photos. The floors were grossly uneven in each room, and it didn't feel like the wee sanctuary that was detailed in the description. It was super close to the main road and was very noisy (constant loud trucks thundering past). The worst aspect of this stay was when the cleaner turned up with her family AN HOUR before checkout time!!! She insisted she HAD to start cleaning then and there and couldn't come back an hour later, so she pushed her way into the house with her family in tow. It was APALLING! My husband had just had a shower; I was still getting myself ready and my young daughter ready. It was incredibly stressful!!!When I messaged the host about this, she apologized and acknowledged that it was her error, and that the cleaner had not been told that the 'Book a Bach' checkout time was an hour later than on the other accommodation platform. No type of good will gesture or partial refund was offered by the host to make up for this monumental error. Never again.
