Lisa was a fantastic host---very thorough and helpful. Our family enjoyed the spacious 3-level home that was thoroughly stocked with kitchen essentials and the beautiful lake with the home's many kayaks. Thank you, Lisa, for a fabulous vacation in Maine.
Our two-family group, including many kids, had a great stay! The house is very well equipped and in a beautiful, relaxing setting. We loved the fire pit and lake activities and appreciated proximity to town for grocery runs. Host is very communicative and thoughtful in making sure all our needs were met. Definitely recommend!
We had an amazing time, and Lisa was incredibly gracious host! The property was even better in person, and the lake was gorgeous. Lisa was very accommodating for our large group, and was extremely responsive leading up to the trip. We will definitely be returning!

It was a pleasure to host Anthony and his friends for Memorial Day weekend. Nice to know the house worked out well for his large group and I would love to host them again anytime!
This lake house does not disappoint! It has everything a family/group could want to have for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful Maine setting! The host was super responsive and helpful. The house was comfortable, clean, spacious, and well supplied. We rent a lot of vacation homes and this has been one of our favorites for sure!
This home is well appointed and very clean.Lisa is an amazing host and readily available if needed.Private beach and lake was exceptional and enjoyed by all. The lake has sandy bottom and very clear water. Many outside areas to enjoy.
Abundance of bath and beach towels available.
Would recommend 100%.
We have been using VRBO for over 20 years, and never have I dealt with such a gracious, accommodating host! Lisa was fantastic to deal with. The pictures don't do the house and property justice. Absolutely beautiful! Lisa has stocked the house with anything you could possibly need during your stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.
Lisa’s property is exactly as it states. She has thought of everything! We are lucky we found this house!
Lisa is such a good host. She is helpful and always available if you have questions.
If you are thinking of renting this house, do it, you won’t be disappointed!
Not enough can be said about this beautiful lakefront home! The accessibility as well as the accommodations made this a perfect stay for my family and the family with whom we traveled. The house was so well equipped for all ages and especially young children. The whole property was exquisite as far as landscaping and décor, not to mention the natural beauty of the trees and lake. The owner was always able to answer all questions in a timely manner and made sure we felt comfortable at her property. She also included the sweetest welcome bag which was above and beyond anything we expected! 5 stars all around!!

It was so wonderful to host Sarah’s family and the other family who traveled with them.
I am happy all enjoyed the lake, gardens and my home too! Glad they found it so comfy, welcoming and it met their expectations, especially for all the young children in the group. I hope the children had a blast at our little beach playing with the sand toys we have for our “ special little” guests to enjoy.
Again, thank you, happy aummer and would love to host you all again!
Happy summer!
Lisa
Lisa treats you like family in her wonderful abode!
Lisa is a fantastic hostess. She felt like having a family member taking care of you.
Her place was one of the most well stocked (higher quality products) homes I have ever rented. The home is on an isolated peninsula directly on South Pond. The beach area is a nice place to just sit and relax.
We absolutely loved that you have a mud room to enter into. There are little frogs all over the place outside, cutest little things.
The fire pit area is so nice and well lit.
This is a great place to come and get away from it all but still have everything you need.
The house was a wonderful space for our family to get together with 7 adults and 3 kids, there was room for a few more if we had wanted!
We loved the living room for game time and the connected kitchen and dining area worked well to keep everyone together at meal time.
The bedrooms were well laid out and the kitchen had everything we needed to prep.
We did rent a pontoon boat from Norway Marina for 3 days during our stay to tour the lake.
My only comment relative to the listing description is that there are several steps, albeit relatively shallow, to get from the house down to the water, and there are essentially 2 water areas. 1 with the dock and floating dock, and a second beachy area down a small path from the fire pit.
The views from the house are somewhat limited as it is nestled in among the trees, so you can't really see the waterfront from the house but it was very quiet and really enjoyable inside the house.
We'd definitely go back for other family outings.
I cannot say enough great things about this property! We traveled from NH to Maine this year for our 26th annual golf tournament. We originally had planned the trip for Colorado, but Covid travel restrictions made Maine a great alternative. The house fit 12 guys very comfortably - and had all the amenities we needed for our group. We arrived to find an amazingly clean house and everything was as advertised. The corn-hole set up was put to the test every night and the fire pit was well attended.
I have not met a more accommodating and gracious host in all my travelling. Lisa was very attentive, reachable always, and a wonderful host! She was there to make recommendations and to answer all our questions before and during our stay.
Thinking of a return trip with the family next summer to enjoy this fantastic lake-front home!

It was a joy to host Mike and his group of “Golfing Gents”! They were wonderful on every level!
I am so happy the house worked out well not only for sleeping accommodations but also for all the fun outside activities you enjoyed!
It would be a pleasure to welcome you and your friends back anytime!
First off I want to acknowledge how incredible of a host Lisa was. I had let her know that my stay was a long weekend with friends before I left for officer candidate school for the Navy. She is in full support of our military and troops and was so accommodating for us with a few special requests. She went out of her way to make sure we had the best possible weekend and was super communicative throughout the stay for any of our questions.
The house is absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. It’s a quiet area right on a large pond with kayaks and canoes to use, a fire pit right by the water, and plenty of beds for guests to stay. If that’s what you’re looking for then look no further!
Lisa is an amazing host and incredibly understanding. She truly wants her guests to have an incredible experience in her house and will do her best to make sure that happens. If I’m ever looking for a place to accommodate so many people again I’m definitely reaching back out to Lisa!
This vacation rental was everything I had hoped for. There were three floors of living space and the house was open enough that you could carry conversations without having to be in the same room. But you could also close the door to your room and be completely secluded. The pictures don't really do the "spaciousness" justice. For reference we had 15 people present, all ages, 7 adults and 8 children. We spent hours in the shallow cove, around the firepit, and just eating all our meals together. We chose to shop and explore other parts of Maine but the closest village had a great cafe and a local store with the best fudge we have ever tasted. The rental itself really served our large family well: extra blankets for the chilly nights, an abundance of towels; and kitchen things you'd never think to pack (chip clips, rubber bands, baking powder, etc). We lacked nothing and the owner remained available throughout our stay and provided helpful directions for how to operate the workings of the house. So many great memories were made and we left with an abundance of rest and relaxation.
Amazing home, location and host - highly recommend
This would be a wonderful home to use as the base for a vacation at any time, but during COVID it was a gem. We had all the perks of being on a family vacation yet felt that we were no sacrificing health-safety in any way. My 2 young adult sons, my husband and I spent a relaxing 4 days at this lovely home. As a fellow VRBO owner, I appreciate all the details that make this home such a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Lisa, the home's owner could not have been warmer or more helpful! The lakeside setting is beautiful - the fall foliage was at is peak and the weather was warm enough to allow us to go canoeing and kayaking, a highlight of the trip. The nearby waterfalls at Grafton Notch State Park was also a great outing as was the hike along the Appalachian Trail (has various difficulty levels). We spent the evenings happily reading and just being together by the fire in the living room. We look forward to returning with friends and family during the summer, as I was not brave enough to go swimming in October, but the home land lake left us wanting to come back soon. Thank you Lisa for sharing your very special home with us!
There are new owners of this property. Prior reviews all reference the old owner Lisa and have amazing reviews. The new owners are definitely not Lisa and they are letting the property fall apart, especially the outdoors. Everything outside was covered in spider webs and absolutely filthy. Our kids were terrified all week of spiders. We had to clean any outdoor spaces we wanted to use including all porches, patio furniture, decks, and the entire beach area. 8 adults had to spend hours cleaning before we could enjoy our vacation and didn’t end up using multiple areas because we didn’t want to spend more of our vacation cleaning. There was a storage bin with swimming items that was full of mice. The inside of the grill was peeling off all the paint onto our food. The deck above outdoor dining table had debris and spider webs falling down onto the table. There were multiple steps broken and falling apart on outdoor stairs. We had to clear the beach of weeds and overgrown branches to be able to use it. The dishwasher smelt awful and we had to clean the drain filter. There were some dirty dishes we had to clean before using. Although The property is located on a beautiful lake, there is about 50 stairs and a hill to get to the dock, which has an extremely dangerous ramp to walk down. Then there’s another 50 yards to walk to the beach area. The water is nice but the beach area is in a main channel where boats are constantly driving right by you and is very dangerous.

We believe this review was written in retaliation. We're proud of our home and the experience we offer, and we encourage future guests to read our other reviews or reach out with any questions.
While we are the new owners of this home, our first childhood jobs were maintaining the grounds under the previous owner, Lisa. We’ve kept the same trusted cleaning and landscaping teams who have cared for the property for years and remain committed to high standards.
This guest contacted us about spider webs and pine needles on outdoor furniture, common in a wooded lakefront area. We immediately offered cleaning service, which they declined. To clarify other points;
The grill showed only minor carbon buildup, not peeling paint or a hazard.
Outdoor spaces are regularly inspected; the loose step was promptly repaired.
The dishwasher is cleaned between stays, and dishes checked at turnover.
Stairs to the water are noted in our listing, including photos.
The “dirty” bocce court sits under an oak tree; acorns fall daily despite weekly raking.
Our beach connects to a shallow sandbar, all passing boats must travel slowly to avoid running aground.
After this stay we found significant property damage, including dozens of cut trees along the waterfront in violation of local and state laws. This has forced us to pause rentals to mitigate erosion and restore the shoreline. We also found new carpet stains and received noise complaints from neighbors. VRBO approved damage claims against this guest.
Celebrating our 50th anniversary with family. Grandkids 6 to 17 had lots of fun things to do. Great outdoor spaces. Nice water toys that everyone enjoyed. Lisa is a wonderful property owner. She thought of everything that is needed to make this a fun vacation. Needed more then one week at this vacation home.
Thanks Lisa.
There were 15 of us young and older and we had a great time. You could fish off the dock and the kids and adults enjoyed the raft. You could relax in the water and the kids and adults got to water sking, tubbing and a tube called the Hot Dog. The house was comfortable and worked for us. Our host Lisa was fabulous and if there was a question on anything she got back to you quite quickly. .I most certainly would recommend their home.
July family stay in Maine on Round Pond in a beautiful house.
Our family enjoyed our stay in a well furnished, super clean house, thanks Gina and family, with stunning gardens, lots of amenities to make our stay go well. Highlights on the property are a small, shaded beach with plenty of lounge chairs, a fire pit with a s’more station, lighted at night for safety, canoes and kayaks for all ages, and a dock, warm water for swimming. Exploring the connecting ponds, hearing the loons and observing pretty sunsets. Super friendly, responsive owner, Lisa, sent along yummy goodies from local bakery.
Only big challenge was the many steps to the water for us elders.
Lisa was reached out and made everything so easy. Prepared extra beds to accommodate all the guests. Gave us an early check in and late check out. While it was raining the weekend we were there, the fire pit by the dock more than made up for it. Would highly recommend
We had such an amazing time at Lisa’s place!! Right on a beautiful lake!! So many bedrooms to accommodate many guests and dog friendly :) Lisa is so sweet, very communicative and made my wedding weekend one to remember! Definitely will be booking again!
