Dusty’s House is a character-filled, 100+ year old home in the heart of Annandale, the kind of place that makes a weekend away feel like more than just somewhere to sleep. Think high ceilings, warm timber floors, and heritage charm matched with genuinely comfortable, high-end furnishings throughout. It is set up for real living, not just visiting. A big kitchen for cooking together, a large deck with a gas BBQ made for long dinners outside, and a garden that gets used, not just admired.

Four bedrooms and two bathrooms mean everyone gets their own space. Three bedrooms are in the main house and the fourth is a private detached room off the garden, ideal for the friend or teenager who wants a bit of distance. Washer and dryer downstairs, Google TV in the lounge, fast WiFi, and the whole house to yourselves.

Annandale is one of Sydney’s quiet inner-west villages. Booth Street and Johnston Street are a few minutes away on foot, with good coffee, bakeries, old corner pubs and small restaurants that locals actually go to. Keep walking and you reach the water at Blackwattle Bay, with the foreshore walk towards Glebe for a morning run or an evening stroll. Glebe and Newtown are next door, and the city is a short bus or cab ride.

Our favourite thing within walking distance is simple. Coffee on Booth Street, then down through the backstreets to Blackwattle Bay and along the water. It is the walk that makes you understand why people stay in Annandale.

What makes the house stand out is that it feels like a home, not a rental. A century of character in the bones, everything you need inside, and a deck that turns an ordinary dinner into the best part of the trip.
