Great location! Easy to walk to sights, ferry, and train. The kitchen is well stocked and the rooms are comfortable. As noted, the stairs are very steep. Host responded quickly to messages. We had a wonderful stay!
This house is a historical property and my husband, daughter & I choose to stay here as a celebration of my 50th birthday. The location was excellent, being positioned in the top end of Kent Street which made easy access to the rocks, observatory Hill and Millers point including Walsh Bay, although We experienced a mixed stay at the home & is currently in need of some maintenance. We arrived to find the front door knob (which held the lockbox on) , hanging off at a precarious angle to the point of coming off altogether. The linen was clean although the bathroom wasn’t at an acceptable level of cleanliness - the bath had dirty items left inside of it , the shower curtain was dirty & the toilet seat was broken.Parking was extremely difficult as it is limited and not practical, the walk from the nearest overnight parking station was more than a 15 minute walk away. There were multiple areas within the house that have suffered severe wear & tear including the furniture which was stained & marked. Future guests should expect that this property although historic struggled to hold as much charm as you’d expect.
Great location. Easy walk to the tourist attractions. The house has a lot of character and charm. Also, the manager responded to a couple of questions we had very quickly.

Cute home. Stairs are extremely steep, and WiFi does not reach past first floor. Dryer takes hours.

Nice area
Lovely old property but in need of maintenance. The toilet seat was broken, and the front door handle fell off. Shower was unsuitable for a rental property. There was no tv channels or satellite/cable as advertised.

Old cottage in a good location
This property is in a good location - walking distance to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. It is a quaint old cottage well presented but with a bit of a musty smell! The stairs to access all bedrooms are very steep and narrow so if you have mobility issues you should reconsider staying here. Accessibility within the property can be a challenge. The outdoor balcony with views is at the third level and through a bedroom so not that convenient. We had a plumbing issue that was not resolved before we left - shower and toilet both leaked. It would have been nice if some long life milk was provided. In summary the property is quaint and in a good location but accessibility to bedrooms is difficult and should be noted in advertising for the property. It is quite expensive to stay here so it is just ok value for money.

Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad you appreciated the property's charming character and convenient location near Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. We sincerely apologise once again for the plumbing issue and any inconvenience this caused during your stay.
We understand that accessibility is an important consideration, and we aim to be transparent about the property’s layout. The listing does mention the steep stairs, and the terrace location is accurately depicted in our photos to show that it is accessed through a bedroom.
Thank you also for the suggestion regarding milk; we’ll take this into account as we continually look for ways to improve our guests’ experience. We appreciate your comments and the opportunity to improve and hope to welcome you back under even better circumstances in the future.
Kind regards,
The Getawayz NSW Team.
