We had perfect weather the first weekend in June. Enjoyed the firepit and the walk down to the creek. Great place for a family get together with plenty of supplies and beds. Easy communication with the host. Great area to be close enough to Traverse City for a day trip and to spend a day at Torch Lake.
Was a great time, needed a place to hold multiple for a golf tournament and this house didn’t disappoint. Plenty of bathrooms and beds, nice view of the lake.
The house was plenty big for our gang of 15. Common areas were large and comfortable for entertaining. The large garage was a nice surprise as we were able to store our ski gear in there. Very short drive to the slopes made it convenient to shuttle groups to and from.
It was a beautiful area. Very quiet and secluded. The house was clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was a blender, mixer, and grilling utensils.
We had 14 people ranging in age from 7 to 74 and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect and looked like it had been freshly painted. We cooked a bunch and had pretty much everything we needed!

Great setting and location
This home fit our group perfectly! We have 4 families that do an annual ski trip and this home was one of the best we have rented. The location was great (only a mile from the ski hill) and the setting of the home is gorgeous. We had plenty of room to relax and hang out. We will definitely consider this home for next years trip.

Thanks so much Karen. We really appreciate your comments and hope to have you again soon!
We rented the house for a family vacation, nice quiet area, fire pit and nice gathering area for game night, the Upstairs loft with the three beds didn’t have any AC vents so it was too hot to sleep in comfortably the first night, nice creek by the house to go down to, if it was cleared out more it would be a great area to hang around. Other than those two things was a nice place to stay at,
This area is just beautiful and the river is very peaceful. The home is very spacious to host a large group of people. We had 5 couples that stayed for the weekend and we had plenty of room to gather as a group as well as plenty of areas to be by yoursef if you wanted.
as plenty of areas even if you
We liked the property and overall it worked well for our group of 12. One thing we didn't realize is that the extra bedroom that sleeps up to 5 is accessed through another bedroom that sleeps up to 4. The Cedar River is very pretty and there is even a little wading area near Schuss Mountain Road. We found many things to enjoy (hiking, kayaking, breweries, wineries, lakes) within about a 15-minute drive. The house was very clean, but the back deck didn't appear to have been swept or cleaned recently.
The property was beautiful. I have some suggestions; we had 16 guests, stayed a week. One fridge for a weeks groceries for 16 people was really tight. We had lots of garbage and the rules stated we had put the 2 small cans out to the road and they had to be closed, I had to call the owner and ask what we should do with the other bags of garbage and was told there were two round cans without lids to use. We had at least 9 other bags we took with us to discard. There was no fishing from the dock and to get to the river you had to climb over some downed tree limbs and about 15 foot of soggy land to get to it. In the pics it appears the dock is right on the water. Only 1 dining table that sits 6, we had 16, there was a table out side on the deck but it was extremely humid to sit out there. The pics show a table in the 4 seasons room but it had been replaced with a bar.One bedroom had a small night stand the others did not, and most did not have closets only dressers so couldn't hang up clothes. Parking was a big issue, one lane driveway, couldn't park our boat with all the cars. There were puzzles but not a table to do them. A generator would have been nice, lost power one day. Internet was sketchy, No rolling pin, had to buy more toilet paper. On the rules it states that we had to inform the owner of any damages in 12 hours, we found 15 to 20 took pics most looked like old damages, maybe waste of time on our end. Still no grilling utensils. These are just suggestions
Met up with family from Virginia, Wisconsin and Michigan. Enjoyed a relaxing time. Bellaire is a cut little town, and we also went the the Alden spice shop, cute little stores. Also went to Traverse city for putt putt and The Coin slot, for a retro pinball experience. All fun. Beds super comfortable, loved ping pong and walking down to the river.
We were visiting this area for a family memorial service and we needed a roomy place that could fit our extended family of 11. This house fit our needs very well. There were more than enough comfortable beds for everyone and the very open floor plan was great. The kitchen had all of the necessary tools and the entire house was very clean. I would be happy to rent this home again.
Although Special Olympics was cancelled this year, our group of volunteers enjoyed getting together. The house is perfect for a large group! We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
We had such an amazing time! So much room for our group to gather! Lots of places to sleep, and the location to the ski hill was awesome! The view out the back windows is the best! You can see the ski hill at night, and the sunset between the trees is breathtaking. The property is also fun to explore with two 4 year olds! The communication between us and the host was also excellent! We will definitely stay here again!
Property was as advertised except for the large gas grill which was not longer operable (although there was an adequate charcoal substitute). I and a couple of my family members did note the lack of bedside tables and lighting.
The several spacious common areas allowed those with different leisure interests or even brief employment obligations to have the necessary quiet and privacy.
