This ski and golf resort home is located in a private wooded setting on the 14th hole of the famous Arnold Palmers Legend Golf course. This home provides a retreat for every season. It is located in the resort community of Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain in northern Michigan and just a few miles away from snowmobile trails. The resort offers multiple activities including two fabulous ski areas and four nationally recognized golf courses. There are resort pool areas and private tennis courts. This includes both indoor and outdoor pools(Outdoor pools are seasonal Memorial day to Labor day). All amenities of the resort can be enjoyed by guests which include; pools, hot tubs, tennis, basketball courts, shuffle board, golf, golf range, downhill and cross country skiing, and a PRIVATE BEACH CLUB!
In the winter cross country skiing is right out the door on groomed trails on the famous Legend Golf Course. It is absolutely beautiful with the views and wildlife! Down hill skiing and tubing, along with sledding, skating and hiking are only minutes away at one of northern Michigan's best ski areas Schuss Mountain/Shanty Creek!
During the winter months an AWD vehicle is RECOMMENDED for the steep driveway.
In the spring, summer, and fall it is a golfers dream with five nationally recognized golf courses within the resort and many more a few miles away.
The house has access to a private beach club with every lake activity that you can imagine. The beach club is minutes away. It has a club house with grills, lounge chairs, volleyball, shuffle board, basketball, tennis, sandy beach with floating rafts, and so much more.
Our home is nicely equipped with every amenity that you could want. It has four large bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two living rooms, ping pong, large screen TV with Direct TV and Wi-FI. It is located on two, private, wooded acres on the 14th hole of the Legend Golf Course. It is a tranquil retreat with fabulous views from every window.
The house is located in the Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain Resort in Bellaire Michigan. Bellaire is directly between Traverse City and Charlevoix. It is close to Lake Michigan, Torch Lake, the chain of Lakes, and of course Turtle Creek Casino.
Must be over 25 to rent the house. There is a Ring Doorbell located on the front door of the home.

The house was spacious and beautiful. Great for our older kids to have the bottom floor and we were upstairs. House was nicely stocked with toilet paper and paper towel. Supplies to do laundry. We had a great time at the rental! The cabin / house is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was very beautiful, surrounded by the woods. About a 10 minute drive to the yellow chairlift. We would definitely stay here again.

The D's vacation reunion

perfect spot for golfing

we stayed here to ski and tube in the winter which was just a short drive. they warned about the steep driveway and that you needed a 4x4 vehicle. Listen to that warning. No worries for us. I would love to come back and stay here for golf! Right on the course.

We did it all. Enjoyed a lovely home with plenty of room for the 9 of us. 5 adults and 4 teens. Spent time at the beach, kayaking and swimming, pontoon ride, Bear dunes for picnic and chilly swim, fireworks from local beach, bonfire and s’mores, hiking, puzzles and games, ping pong in basement. This is our second year in this house and we will go for a third next year. It has a nice large living area and decent size kitchen/dining space. 4 comfortable bedrooms and three baths. We would have liked more kitchen utensils and sharp knives! Wifi would be good but we can survive without it. Instructions for the gas fireplace? Even our engineers had trouble figuring it out.

We are glad the place fit your needs! We had WI-FI installed Jan 20th so it will be available next time. There is a box of a dozen sharp/steak knives in the pantry; sorry you did not see them. We can print out the gas fireplace instructions so it is easier to operate for future renters. The constructive input is appreciated!

Great Location !!

This house is beautiful, secluded, and well maintained. It is clean and located close to stores, little town area of bellair which includes coffee shops, restaurants, grocery etc . The set up is perfect if you are traveling with another couple / kids, since the downstairs is private and separate from the upstairs so it kind of felt like a little apartment without a kitchen downstairs. Since this house is located in a heavily wooded area i will say there were quite a few little bugs on walls and in bedrooms in the downstairs area, but we kind of expected that if we seen them, we just got rid of them, that did not ruin anything about the house. We would rent this place again. The house had toilet paper, towels, kitchen has everything you need with pots, pans, even an air fryer! We really enjoyed our stay and the fact it was so close to Torch Lake was awesome !!!
