Welcome to "Shipwrecked in Paradise"! Historic Key West Eyebrow House with private pool..... ONE block to Duval, the Hemingway House, and the Lighthouse. Four blocks to the Southernmost Point. Our home is full of Key West charm. It was built by shipbuilders in the Classical Revival style called an Eyebrow House that created an awning to block the harsh sun in the late 1800's. Dade County Pine was used throughout, giving it a "boat" and "Key Westy" feel.... or "shiplap" as we call it today!

Newly purchased and newly renovated in August 2020. New furniture, new bedding, new linens, fresh paint, new bathroom in master, new outdoor furniture.

Live like a local in this renovated, private, historic Key West home located in the heart of Old Town near the corner of Truman and Whitehead, one block off Duval. We are at the quiet end of Truman where it turns into a one-way street. Some of the best restaurants in town are within 2 blocks: Santiago's Bodega, Blue Heaven, Moondog Cafe, Nine One Five, The Green Parrot. The beach at Ft. Zachary Taylor is a quick bike ride away.

This private home offers 3 bedrooms, all with queen beds, and 3 en suite bathrooms. There is a bedroom on the main level and 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with their own staircase leading up to it on opposite ends of the home for complete privacy. There is a large eat-in kitchen with seating for 6... or enjoy your meal outdoors by the pool. The living area has plenty of seating with all new furniture and a pull-out sectional sofa with a queen bed. There are TV's mounted in the living room and each of the 3 bedrooms. Cable and internet are provided.

The outdoor area is a true paradise. Enjoy the heated pool with waterfall and jets, 2 chaise lounges for sunning, and a dining table for 8. There is a private balcony off the upstairs bedroom and an inviting front porch for watching the comings and goings of Key West.

Want to get out on the beautiful waters surrounding Key West? The Florida Keys are home to the only living coral reef system in the United States and the third largest in the world. This was the best vrbo experience we have ever had! Marla was SUPER in every way. She was attentive to our needs but let us enjoy our stay. I can’t say enough nice things. Great place for family and friends

This is our second time renting from Marla at Bahama Village in Key West. It's a lovely, well-equipped, comfortable property to gather with family and friends. And if you decide to venture out, you are close to everything Key West offers.

We enjoyed everything about our stay!

We stayed here for the month of March. We thought the house was perfect both inside and out. The house is well laid out, decorated nicely, and equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The yard and pool area are situated and set up so that you can enjoy either sun or shade which meant it was our “go to” spot whenever we weren’t out and about. The house is located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Duval to be quiet, yet a short walk from many great restaurants and attractions. Although we didn’t have any problems during our stay, Marla was quick to respond to the few questions that we did have. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Marla!

Loved everything!! Can't wait to come back!!

We had the best month visiting Key West thanks to Marla and this perfect house! The house was so roomy and accommodating for us and our friends. We absolutely loved our gorgeous yard and pool, not to mention the front porch in the morning for coffee. The location couldn't have been better for walking to Duval, buoy, Southernmost Point, Fort Zach, Truman Annex and all the quaint restaurants and shops nearby. Marla and Stewart were absolutely amazing when it came to helping us with anything we needed at the house! They made sure all of our needs were met and immediately came and changed lightbulbs, tv assistance that we needed. We had the best time and are so sad to leave this place. I would give it a 10 star if I could and would rent from Marla again in a heartbeat. The only downfall is I know she is booked out for a very long time but hoping some day I can return and stay in the same place!!

A relaxed month in Key West

We had a fantastic stay at Bahama Village in Key West during the month of January. The house was clean, comfortable, and so well equipped—plenty of dishes, pots/pans, small appliances, glassware, Tupperware, extra sheets, pillows, and towels. Every bedroom has TV and the whole house had great wi-fi service (even out into the yard). The fenced yard was a perfect private hangout spot for outdoor dining, cooking, and swimming day or evening. Best of all is the location—just two blocks from Duval, but on the quieter, more residential end. We walked the dog in Truman Park almost every night to catch the sunset and watch the daily cruise ship departures. The house layout was perfect for hosting family and friends throughout the month—privacy when you need it, otherwise great spaces for hanging out together. The only complaint is that I can’t book again next January because it’s already committed. I’ve asked to be put on the waitlist ;-) Thank you, Marla! And Captain Stewart too.

Hey Gem!

I’m not sure how much more I can add to all the other glowing reviews. This house is exceptional. It is clean and roomy and private. Most of the credit goes to our host Marla, who is professional and understands what people want and need and follows through. She answered all our questions in a timely manner(Even when she was out of town at a wedding) and stopped by the house twice to see how we were doing. Even though it is at the quieter south end off Duval Street there are plenty of fine restaurant choices within a 10 minute walk. there is even a CVS on Truman Ave. less than a 10 minute walk away where you can pick up miscellaneous items, including food and beverages. The house is literally right behind the famous lighthouse in a residential neighborhood, where the neighbors are friendly and welcoming. May was extremely hot so the cocktail pool and yard were a wonderful Plus. There is always somewhere in the yard where you can sun or relax in the shade. All of our meals were eaten outside at the table.5 o’clock cocktail time was always on the front porch while people watching. We have been coming to Key West for about 10 years now, and this is the nicest home that we have stayed at.

Key West living at its finest

Wow. That is the best word to summarize a stay in this fantastic home in the heart of Old Key West. The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is how immaculate the house is, and how beautifully it is decorated with nautical stripes and bright colors. The Dade County Pine throughout the house is rich and beautiful. The furnishings comfortable and welcoming. The thing that makes this house, and Marla's hospitality stand out, is just how livable it is. Plenty of closets and dressers and other drawers to store your stuff. Big fridge. Giant washer dryer. Bathroom and kitchen towels a plenty. Every kitchen gadget you can possibly think of. Some oil and basic spices if you are going to cook and not just eat out at the hundreds of great restaurants within walking distance of the home. The three ensuite bedrooms are perfect for traveling with others, or having guests join during different parts of your stay. The master bedroom with balcony is gorgeous. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom to better accommodate our senior dogs, and it was cozy, dark, and quiet. Each weekend we had friends in the other bedrooms and they each loved the mattresses, adored the décor, and enjoyed having their own bathroom. Then there is the outside of the house. Like most Key West properties the yard is small, but this yard is laid out so beautifully it is all the room you need. We didn't have car for our month long stay which makes the yard feel a little bigger with use of the driveway. Our dogs used the rocked driveway for their potty spot and it worked very well. The pool is amazing, I cannot add up the number of ours we spent lounging in it. The pool is heated and the waterfall produces such a relaxing sound. The foliage is dense and makes the yard feel very private, which is good given the foot traffic around the house (we later learned that the house is part of a walking tour because it's cute and perfect). We used the outdoor shower every day too and also enjoyed sitting on the porch, talking to neighbors. Also didn't need a car at all, with the perfect location and a bike to do shopping further afield. If you are planning to work remotely during your stay, the wifi worked well for two of us on zoom and teams meetings all day long. Marla is VERY ATTENTIVE. A couple of minor issues with the pool heater, and she was on it. Lastly, take advantage of the offer to go out on the Sea Monkey Adventures boat with Marla and Captain Stewart, breathtaking!

A beautiful property and great location ! Our dogs enjoyed themselves tremendously! Sitting outdoors was comfortable and enjoyable. Family came to visit and there was plenty of room for everyone. We barbecued several times and cooked great meals . I would recommend this property and would stay again !!!

Truman Avenue

If you are looking for the perfect 3 bd, 3 bath, KW eyebrow house you have found it! Perfect in every way. Backyard, with pool (deeper than most KW pools), gas grill and plenty of furniture! The house was immaculate, and stocked with everything you could need. Comes with two bikes, Marla (the owner) even brought us two new beach chairs and a new Kuerig! Location was perfect, easy walk or bike ride to everything you want to do! Marla was so helpful and you could tell she really loves her home and wants you to have a great time in KW! Fabulous month on Truman Avenue, five stars, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, can’t recommend enough‼️

Everything about this property is done well. I can’t think of anything that would make it better. It was the perfect place to spend the month leading up to and after our wedding in Key West. The internet worked great from anywhere including outside, which is the best place to work from in my opinion. The pool is amazing and it’s the perfect size. Marla is a great host who really cares about her guest experience.

Amazing trip to Key West

The property was the highlight of this trip. It was, exactly, what was described and the pictures did not do this property justice. Much thanks to this property owner as she was so kind and attentive. The attention to detail was above and beyond. This property filled 2 needs, vacation and remote work. Wonderful Getaway Home

We loved the house; it is lovely and comfortable -- very easy to live in. Kitchen is fantastic. The outdoor space is delightful with a beautiful pool in which we spent much time. We worked and ate in the garden. We could not get enough of it. Marla could not be more helpful or responsive. she is terrific.
