We had a great time, and the house was lovely! Beautiful views of the lake right across the street, surrounded by grapes. There’s also a winery right across the street!
We had a very short trip to the area and wanted a relaxing place to stay for one night. This home was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. It was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed smores at the firepit in the evening and slept well in the comfortable beds. In the morning we took a short walk to the neighborhood lake access and enjoyed the view of the water; complete with bald eagle soaring overhead. If only our stay had been longer, we would have loved to spend more time near the water and the grapevines.
The house was very clean with a detailed house book, which was very helpful. Daphne was communicative and responded quickly. We had a nice, quiet family vacation here.
This was one of the most beautiful vacation homes we have ever stayed at! Daphne was a fabulous host! The house is spacious and beautiful with beautiful scenery inside and out. They have the house stocked with everything that we need, which really helps out especially when you’re traveling from afar. We will definitely be visiting again on our next trip up north from North Carolina.
This property is everything the pictures represent and more. Home is beautiful and so much attention to detail to make the stay feel more than at home. The only small issue, the Internet is very weak. I did not mind as it was great to see kids off screens and engaging in conversation with their grandfather who was along w us on Vaca. Sunsets were picture perfect. We all loved our stay and would highly recommend. Daphne was quick to respond to any questions.
We had a great stay at Daphne and Mel’s rental house. It’s in a quiet and peaceful side-street with views of Lake Erie. The house was well stocked and Daphne was super responsive to my questions. This was a great location to hit all the favorites in Erie, and a good jumping off point for Niagra. We’d definitely stay here again!
The house was nice, clean, great area. The "neighbors" however awful!! We were accused of having a party when there were only family visiting! My sister left her car there because she had a few glasses of wine and her husband drove her home. My niece left her car for the same reason and her husband also drove her home.I am 59 years old, hardly the wild party throwing kind of gal. My sister who was visiting is 66 years old and my niece is 43 years old. When we first got there, a small incident occurred where a rotted wooden pole was backed into on a neighbors property across the street from the rental. The owner was on hand, and claimed that it was not a big deal because he wanted it taken out anyway, then proceeded to send pictures to the owner as though it were a big deal!?!?!?!I was berated for not answering emails and messages on VRBO, but having thought the issue with the rotted wooden pole was over, I was not looking for the messages either.Good thing because the WIFI at the house was absolutely awful and my phone was pretty much inoperable most of the time. This is my second incident with being treated horribly in Northeast, PA, and I will NEVER go back. These people have somehow convinced themselves that they are superior to the rest of man kind! I gave Northeast, PA another shot after the first experience, and had a great experience, the third time however, was anything but "charming"!!!!! The weekend was ruined!!
Lovely property with a nice view, well maintained. This home had everything we needed, and was so organized & clean, nestled within vineyards , made for quiet picturesque am walks.
We loved everything about our experience! The house was fabulous, it was spotless and had everything you would need! The neighborhood and lake access was perfect!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owner was very personable and clear with communication. The property was in a great location. It was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed at! Great space inside and out! Would definitely stay again!!
This was such a lovely immaculate home!! We would definitely stay here again! It was just a short trip for skiing but cannot wait to go back on the summer or fall and see all the wineries and enjoy the lake!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Daphne's house, which was located on a private, quiet street in the country near the water. The house was modern, clean, with hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. The backyard was spacious and included a deck and a patio. Daphne was very helpful when we had questions. Definitely recommend!
We came to celebrate New Years. We stayed at the property last year. It is immaculate and in a great location. The owner is very responsive. I would highly recommend this property.
This home did not disappoint. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the overall appearance. Very nice ambiance. You can tell this home is loved. We will definitely be staying here again!
Close to our Harborcreek & Erie relatives with space to entertain indoors or out depending on the weather. Love the little walk to the stony beach. Enjoyed the Erie Philharmonic concert in Gibson Park, North East.

My husband Mel and I are from Buffalo New York and currently split our time between North East and Naples Florida. Our kids and grandkids are still in Buffalo so we are in North East every couple of months. We love traveling, cooking, reading and gardening. Being that we are retired this works perfectly for us.
Why they chose this property
This property has been in my family for 40 years. My parents bought it as a summer retreat. About 25 years ago, they decided to make it their permanent residence and built a 3000 square foot house with 4 bedrooms so that they could host family gatherings. Five years ago my parents turned over the house to us. It was too much for them to take care of. My Mom has since passed and my Dad turns 98 this year. We have added our own touches to the house and the yard. We love the lake, the weather, the grape vines and the town of North East. It is quiet and peaceful. You don't have to feel rushed and stressed. You can listen to the waves from the front porch and just relax. Life is not in a hurry here!
What makes this property unique
Since we aren't here all the time, we thought it would be nice to share this beautiful place with others. It is hard on a house to stand empty, and this house was meant for family. There are actually 4 bedrooms but one has an attached room that is great for a family with kids. We have three full baths, a tv room, a great room with a gas fireplace and a dining room. The kitchen is very spacious with a butcher block topped island. We love cooking and baking so we have a fully stocked kitchen. The house sits on almost an acre with a big yard and we have our own grape vines! There are many sitting areas around the house, front porch, back porch and deck. We have a graveled fire pit area that we love to sit around in the spring and fall. We also enjoy sitting on the front porch and watching the sunsets.
