Hortus 🌳 House: Green heart of the green city

Don't be fooled by the first appearance from the street! Hortus House is unique place, located in an old house with a lot of stories to tell and magnificent garden full of stone
sculptures and trees. This is the lungs of our neighborhood!
Located easy 15 minutes stroll from the very center of Ljubljana, here you will find peace away from the crowds.
Recently we totally refurbished part of our family house and turned it into a pleasant and comfortable place for up to 4 people, waiting just for you!

Hortus House is a full apartment with a private entrance and offers 40 square meters of space ideal for 2 people sharing a double bed (180x200cm). Two more people will get to sleep on an extended sofa in the living room. There you will find a 46-inch TV with hundreds of channels, including HBO Max, Cinemax, Cinestar, etc... and a Chromecast player for streaming from your own devices.
A portable baby cot and a high chair can be provided for small children.
In case you get tired of many great restaurants in Ljubljana, you have everything you need to show your cooking skills. There is a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, full set of utensils plus all basic ingredients (seasoning, olive oil, vinegar, ...) and fresh herbs from our garden. A coffee/tea machine, a kettle and a toaster are available as well.
The bathroom is large and bright with a thermostatic shower and has floor heating like the rest of the apartment. Air-condition can used for additional comfort.
The washer and dryer are not installed in the apartment, but you can always ask to use ours for a small fee or visit Self Service Laundromat located 10 minutes walk away.

★ HEALTH AND SAFETY ★
We take enough time to thoroughly clean and sanitize the apartment. We avoid same-day guest turnovers and always leave at least a day between check-out and new check-in.
We only have this listing and we do the cleaning ourselves instead of hiring a cleaning service. This means that the same person is taking care of cleaning and my wife Urša takes her duty very seriously :-).
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Excellent accomodations and location

The apartment was very clean, newly renovated and full of nice little extra touches (cookies, popcorn, first aid kit, coffee and so on). Property also had a nice yard, and it takes less than 20 minutes to walk to downtown. There are several grocery stores and restaurants around the corner , and also a pharmacy very close. The host was very quick to respond to any requests.

Modern House in Tranquil Gardens

Beautiful House in tranquil gardens. Easy walk to Museums, galleries and Town Centre Facilities and technology provided was outstanding. Free Bikes available which made exploring further afar very easy. Primoz was a fantastic host, picked us up from the train station and his recommendation for food were spot on. Would highly recommend.

We love meeting new people and learning to appreciate and respect diversity. We think this is essential training for life and the main reason we decided to offer part of our house to travelers visiting Slovenia. We like to believe that we have a good feeling for the needs of Airbnb-type travelers and we treat our guests the way we expect to be treated when traveling.

What makes this property unique

You will have whole apartment for yourself. It is located in our family house, but as a fully separated part of the building with private entrance.
Car park is available in the backyard behind the gates and is free of charge.
Gazebo in front of the apartment, hammock and garden chairs... everyting is there there for you to enjoy.
We live next door in the same house and we look forward to meeting all of our guests. We are happy to help you with anything you might need, assist you getting around and planning your trip.
If you, on the other hand, need your privacy we fully respect that and we won’t bother you more than absolutely necessary.
As we have our regular jobs and school, we might not be around at any given time, but we are always available on a messenger or a call.
