The place met our needs. The property was beautiful, we enjoyed the trails and big yard area.Check-in and check-out was easy. Cooking in the commercial kitchen was easy, well equipped. Appreciated having two refrigerators! The campfire pit was great!I recommend cleaning out the area of broken items littering the property. And fix the dryer vent so it doesn't vent out into the bathroom.
This was the perfect place for the year end trip of our small school group. We visited Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens but probably enjoyed the lodge more so. The kitchen and dining areas worked great for large meals and there was plenty for the kids to do outside. The bedrooms and bathrooms also worked great because the men and women had their own privacy.Thank you!
When we first arrived we were stuned by the amazing natural beauty of the area and how perfect it seemed, and when we entered the house we were astonished. Of course a few things were not what they seemed like the tire swing was not there at all and some of the appliances were completely different from what the pictures showed and the hottub had murky water. Even with all that we still had an amzing time at this property and will treasure the memories made there for the rest of our lives, we can not wait until next spring formal where hopefully we all vote on the this fantastic property once more!
We were a group of 17. The house is ideally located near Rainier NP and is well set up for large groups including activities for the children. Although not air conditioned, the site is shady, there were plenty of fans, and the river was a very short walk away. The large fridge / freezer did not work but we made do with the outside fridge plus the host supplied plenty of ice. We could not get the oven to work, but a slow cooker was available at the property. Overall a good time was had by all and would definitely consider staying at this place again. Thanks!
This Spacious, private property was perfect for our family gathering. Great communication before & during our stay. Lots of extras. Definitely recommend!
Overall, very positive experience. Property is large and wooded, and we took full advantage of the patio, outdoor court, and fire pit for family activities. The bedrooms and bunks fit our large gathering well. Property manager was attentive and prompt with the one small issue we encountered. 10 min drive to national park entrance. Some things (i.e. kitchen & couches) have a dated feel, but overall the size, function, and location of the home and property more than make up for that.
The cabin was perfect! We have a large family with 13 grandkids. The place was perfect with alot of outdoor recreation. The commercial al kitchen was awesome for cooking for a large group. Can't wait to stay again!
We stayed at this lodge with a large group to relax and ski/snowboard at White Pass. The listing pictures truly don't do the place justice and we found it to be even better than expected. The kitchen was excellent for preparing and cleaning up after large group meals, and the huge dining table allowed everyone to eat together. There were lots of showers and toilets upstairs for everyone, plenty of towels were provided, and the Wifi was sufficient for typical remote work. We would happily stay here again in the future.
Our family had a 3 night stay with 17 people. Check in was easy. We had a great stay with a blanket of 8” snow. There were a couple of major concerns: 1. The hot tub was out of order. 2. The oven did not work. This was a major inconvenience. Briston came out and lit the pilot light once, but it didn’t solve it permanently. 3. The downstairs toilet was plugged beyond what Briston’s snake could unclog. One of the upstairs toilets took 20 minutes or more to refill the tank. We were promised a partial refund for these inconveniences, which was thoughtful. If the toilets could all be at 100%, and the hot tub was repaired, we would consider coming back next year, cause the kids had a wonderful time.
Great space for a large group. Huge dining table for eating and playing games. Kitchen was set up to cook tons of food. Huge fridge and freezer inside and one outside as well. Lots of parking and the house was very well heated. Lots of towels and kitchen extras. High chairs, pack n play and potty seat for littles. Beds were just so so. Some better than others. We had a great time and will be back.
We wanted a place for our whole family to stay together. Usually we tent or yurt camp, but thought we'd try something new and this was it. There was plenty of room (16 family members) so we could all stretch out. Plenty of sleeping space and plenty of things for everyone to do. We were all very comfortable. The only drawback was that one of the ovens was out of order. When you have a large gathering of people, it really is important for both of those ovens to be working! So we had to get creative with our cooking. We will most definitely be back, but only if both ovens are working next time. Overall....everyone was super happy with our stay there!
We were looking for a place to have a family gathering near Randle/Packwood. This place easily accommodated the 14 of us, and we still had empty beds.
The place is rustic. Each bedroom contained at queen bed and multiple bunks, besides beds in the lofts. The kitchen was well-equipped for feeding a crowd. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around outside, and lots of toys to play with. The hot tub is a nice addition, we used it a lot.
This place is perfect if you have a bunch of kids you would like to take skiing at White Pass (youth groups, scouts etc)
Our family had a wonderful time bonding after having been apart for a long time. It was a good vacation.
We had a fantastic guys weekend in the woods and were really blown away by this place. The property is exceptional and the photos simply don’t do it justice. It’s much nicer than the pictures indicated. Despite 100 degree heat, the trees provide good shade and the place cooled off at night with a few box fans. This place was a great value.
Such a beautiful cabin, it is way more beautiful in person! It has amazing artwork and vintage gems everywhere. The only thing I had to complain about was one of the beds I felt the springs and that was a little annoying. I loved the space it was so accommodating for us all! I will always remember this place, as a great place of fun.
This was the PERFECT location to host Thanksgiving for my large family. The size, amenities, the kitchen. Etc! We enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't mind booking future get togethers here as well. Recommended for all! Bonus: deer come right up to the back porch at all times of the day and night. Kids loved that experience.
