This place was the best place we have stayed on vacation..the owners are extremely helpful and feel like family..we will def be back to this beautiful location again and again
We truely enjoyed our stay it was a beautiful cabin and clean. Our kids each made themselves at home and played outside. We loved every moment of it made some beautiful memories with our family.
If you are looking for a quiet and amazingly clean cabin to stay outside of the Houston area, book this place. We were looking for something an hour or less outside of Houston and found this gem. We played corn hole, walked around the 80 acres, fished (which was really, really good - caught 15 bass 1-2 pounders and 5 huge catfish - over 10 pounds each on the first day). Our middle son fished most every waking moment we were here. The rest of us relaxed and read outside in one of many chairs on the porch and someone always was enoying the hammock. We went to Brazos Bend State part two days and rode along the ~35-40 miles of mountain bike trails (you can walk them also) and just enjoyed being out in nature. Our final evening we sat around the fire pit and ate s'mores and talked about how great the trip has been. I do have to mention again, the place looked brand new inside and was spotless. I don't know how much time they spent cleaning everything, but it was so clean. Morning coffee on the front porch listening to the birds singing, windmill pumping water for the cattle and enjoying the March temps made for an amazing get-away. We were sad we were not able to extend our stay longer as someone had already booked the remainder of the week/weekend. Hard to believe something like this exists so close to Houston (as we live a stones throw away from the 610 Loop). Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!
This is the second time we have stayed here. My grandson who lives in Needville also loved it. He chose to stay both nights with us at the house. Everything was wonderful!
I had the most wonderful stay in your beautiful cabin, this place is a gem. It isa beautiful property, very well decorated and has everything you need. I loved waking up and seeing all the cattle and the beautiful horse on the property. I am so thankful you allowed us to stay at your cabin, my family had a long overdue reunion and made life-long memories.
This is a very special place to stay! Very clean! There is everything you need there. They thought of everything! This is the second time i stayed here and plan to stay again!
This place is incredibly comfortable for anyone looking to unplug feom the city life and get a taste of farm life. Excellent amenities in every room. Several outdoor options for relaxing too.
The pictures of this property and home do not do it justice. This was the cleanest and most beautiful VRBO our family has ever visited with huge live oaks that are lit at night and decor that could grace the front cover of magazines.
The glass door was so clean my husband and Great Dane both tried to walk right though it! Everything in the house smelled so fresh and as a “clean freak”, I was able to immediately relax here which is unusual for me…
The fenced yard kept our German Shepherd and Great Danes safe outside and they enjoyed watching the beautiful livestock on the ranch next door.
The property owner/manager were so thoughtful and went out of her way to make it perfect and made sure we had our privacy.
We only visited for 3 nights, but if I could go back in time, I would have planned a longer trip just to relax and enjoy this beautiful home. We will definitely be back the next time we visit the in-laws!
The location was a perfect weekend getaway for us, less than an hour from home. Everything was perfect, the decor, entertainment options, kitchen items, and Internet connection. Our two small dogs wanted to make friends with the cows, but were very good at staying in the 'yard side' of the fence. Front and back porches were great for sunset and storm front watching. I could go on and on!
If you’re someone who doesn’t like big city madness this place is only an hour outside Houston and it’s a true Hidden treasure. We made some incredible memories here. And I would love to come back in the future. My kids loved talking to the cows and hearing the frogs at night. I can’t say enough good things about this place!! The owner was so nice and called the cows for us. Us city folks are easily amused. But it meant a lot to us.
The decor was so cute. One of a kind pieces. Great people to tent from. Do it!!
The house is Beautiful. The weather was bad during our stay so we weren’t able to be outside at all but the it also was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend anyone needing a break from the City, to go relax and unwind in this amazing Log Cabin.
My family went for 2 nights during the week for a quick and easy get away from Houston. Every moment was lovely and enjoyable. The house is gorgeous, full stocked, well planned and spotlessly clean. My husband was shocked at how spotless it was. The grounds are well cared for and maintained.
We grilled and had a fire/smores, visited with the cows on the property, explored the grounds a little, enjoyed the swing and the hammock, and got to do some stargazing.
We hiked Brazos Bend State Park (close 20-ish minute, scenic drive) and we got to see several gators, rose spoon bills and lots of interesting wild life at the beautiful park. If you are going on a weekend, be sure to book a time at the George Observatory.
We explored downtown Needville and had some bbq and jerky from Ohl Style Beef Jerky.
There are 3 bedrooms so we all had our own room and it was nice to curl up in bed at night and watch whatever we wanted on Netflix as each room has its own TV (no compromises on what to watch!).
Waking up to coffee and a gorgeous sunrise on that back porch is a must. Set your alarm and the coffee pot has a delay start too that you can set for the night before. You can also see the sunrise from some of the rooms.
Our 10 month old daughter was welcome in the home and was perfectly happy and comfortable there as well. The host provided a pack and play for her to sleep in and there is also a baby gate for the stair case if needed.
Book your trip today!
This was the perfect getaway to celebrate a birthday! The “cabin” was decorated right out of a magazine. It was so serene and peaceful sitting out in the fresh breeze. We will definitely go back!
Wow, this cabin is just ready to move in! We were not lacking for anything - very welcoming, all new, beautifully decorated and very clean. There is a small pond and a fire pit plus grill outside, and the living room is perfect for family time and movie watching (the couch is ridiculously comfortable). We had such a fun time and hated to leave this lovely property - a great getaway from the city and a nice small-town TX experience for my Chicago relatives. We loved the cows and horses close by!! Oh, and don’t miss the nearby Jay Cafe for out of this world pie (the coconut cream and chocolate, OMG…). Great stay!
The cabin was amazing. Very clean, nicely decorated. Loved watching the cows and relaxing in the hammock. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook, grill or even bake!
We would definitely stay here again!
We were in town for a.wedding in Needville and stayed at the cabin for a week. The place was awesome! The grandkids really enjoyed coming over to visit us and catching their first fish. We have many fond memories and will be back again.
The coordinator was wonderful and extremely helpful. The owner introduced himself when we went fishing. He was really nice and helpful also.
Cute cabin, looks just like the pictures !Cabin is well stocked and the owners are friendly and told us to let them know if we needed anything. Hubby loved fishing in the pond and was just a short drive to the Brazos Bend State Park.
We had an amazing time at Cotton’s Cabin! If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway, look no further. We love the cute details and furnishings throughout this charming house and the location is idyllic for our family’s much needed R&R. We appreciate the thoughtful welcome basket, the fully stocked kitchen and the great communication with our host. The cabin is not too far from Brazos Bend State Park, where we saw lots of alligators and other wildlife, and an hour away from Matagorda beach, if you have a fishing enthusiast in your group/family. Overall, we highly recommend the cabin, 10/10. You will not be disappointed to book this wonderful home.
