The house was great. The outdoor jacuzzi that was covered while it snowed the entire time we were there was amazing. It’s something truly magical. The wood stove was so beautiful and views from all the windows making it seem like you were miles away from civilization. We can’t wait to go back and try the outside pizza oven.
Great weekend getaway! House had amazing amenities including a spacious jacuzzi and fireplace. House was clean and had a very unique cabin feel and look. Thankful to find this gem!
This place is absolutely perfect for getting a quiet weekend and there were so many options to choose from. The hot tub, was perfect!! The movie theater, pool table, darts, and the game room was great. We will definitely come back. The owners were great to deal with and was always available if needed.

An amazing Cabin. We arrived on a Friday evening, the Cabin was exactly what we needed. It was absolutely gorgeous, the view was amazing. The owners are amazing and super friendly to work with. Highly Recommend staying here if you are in the area. The drive to Cooperstown is about an hour north. The view on the way there is amazing and full of wildlife. Such an amazing Cabin.

It was a pleasure to host Gordy and his family in our cabin. They were great and lovely guests. We had very easy communication. They left the house clean and tidy and respected the house rules. Gordy will be always welcome in our cabin. Highly recommend! 5 stars guest.
Communication with the owners from the beginning to check-out was immediate and helpful. When approaching the property, the pictures do not do it justice. Upon entering, wow! Going in to the basement, spectacular!
A Beautifully furnished home for that cabin feel. The wife and I needed to get away for some us time and when we left, we wanted to stay longer. The home is just outside of town if you need the essentials but feels your a hundred miles away. It's a distance if you want to do any activities in the area such as Cooperstown, but we loved driving through the Catskills and was part of the trip.
The hot-tub, s'mores on the fire pit and movie night in the basement became our nightly ritual after discovering all day.
Would definitely would stay again if not just the two of us or with another couple.
And if your ever looking to sell this gem, keep us on the short list.
Beautiful property! It is the little things! Creative! Unique! We stayed there for four nights/five days and we always find something new everyday. The hot tub was a hit. We went skiing/snowboarding at Hunter Mountain which was only half an hour away. Our sons learned how to play poker with the cool poker table :)
The Bear Cabin is well-situated to visit friends and sites in the northwest Catskills. The cabin is eclectic and cozy, particularly the speak-easy style lower level, and the kids had a fun time exploring the woods around the cabin. Any issues with the property were quickly addressed.
A totally disconnected adventure into the middle of the woods is just about as liberating as it gets. Want to wake up at noon, and spend the entire day knitting scarves? Sure. How about pushing your boundaries by climbing Utsayantha Mountain ? You betcha. Whatever your cup of detox tea, Dino and Magdalena thought of everything to allow you to unplug and revel in the wide-open country. Get ready to log off and reconnect with yourself at Dino's Black bear cabin. "Peace of mind" and "Jefferson" go hand-in-hand, but beyond hiking at Mine Kill waterfalls and cruising along Stamford famous biking trails, Upstate NY is also home to some of the world's best camping. Leave your phone charger at home and cozy up at this Thousand that's open year-round. No RV required; pack your bags, and immerse yourself in the best nature has to offer. P.S. You can also restore weary limbs at the Black bear's hot tub! Tell your friends and family members to forget about texting you for a few days and reconnect with the wilderness, with five freshwater lakes and 100 miles of hiking trails right outside... this is what we do and we want to share it with you. From the bottom of our heart Dino & Magda.
