We all enjoyed a wonderful stay at 'the triangle house' as our kids called it. The house is quaint, great décor and the kids loved sleeping upstairs with the view. We enjoyed the fire pit and the surrounding grounds. Would certainly recommend staying here.
Spend a few nights without any issues. Very cozy and fun. Easy check in/out very friendly and responsive host. The place is very beautiful with comfortable bedding and fun entertainment. Highly recommend, this cabin has everything you need!
A great stay in a convenient location. The cabin had everything we needed for our family stay, along with items for kids and dogs. We loved the wood stove and record player in the main living space. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Great communication from Lenny the host. Hope to stay again!
The A frame rental was a great accommodation for our wedding weekend. The location is far enough away, but close enough for town travel. The house was very clean and modern. We all really enjoyed the stay!

Great option and off the grid. Super unique and brand new. Eat at Mama Maria’s nearby and golf at Stamford Golf Club ( bring your clubs!) super cool owner.
We chose to stay at Pudding Hill for our trip to The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown (about 50 minutes away). This made for the perfect place to come back to and crash in between trips to Cooperstown. We even made a an impromptu super-long day trip to Niagara Falls. Private and secluded, it was truly a pleasure to be out in the woods and be able to unwind so completely. The cabin is cozy and super well appointed. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better stay! Mama Maria’s Restaurant (5 minutes away) was absolutely delicious!

Thank you for sharing your experience at Pudding Hill! It's fantastic to hear that our location served as a perfect retreat between your visits to Cooperstown. We are honored to have been your choice for accommodation.
If your future plans ever bring you back to the area, we would be more than happy to host you again!
Best,
Lenny
My husband and I were looking for a quiet and cozy location for our mini-moon and our stay at Pudding Hill exceeded every expectation! The cabin was so cute and spotless; from the décor to amenities, you can tell how much attention to detail was put into the space. Even our pup had a great time running around the spacious property!
There isn't a ton to do in the immediate area (restaurants or indoor activities) but we didn't mind at all. The cabin was so cozy that we never wanted to leave anyway! Hunter/ Tannersville is close enough if you want to stroll through a bigger town. Locally, we did enjoy Stamford Coffee for breakfast and Mac-a-Doodles & Mamma Marias for casual dining.
The host, Lenny, was great too. He was extremely responsive and helpful.
5 stars all around!!!!

Beautiful cottage, but major safety and maintenance issuesWhile the interior of this cottage is lovely, our experience was unfortunately defined by significant safety concerns and poor maintenance. The primary issue is the driveway/hill. Despite driving a Toyota RAV4 Woodland Edition with trail tires, the hill was completely impassable due to ice. We slid down several times—even after a plow had passed—and nearly ended up in a ditch. Even the cleaning crew’s truck couldn't make it up. We were forced to park at the bottom and haul all of our heavy luggage up the slippery incline on foot, which was dangerous and exhausting. We felt "trapped" and didn't leave the property for the rest of the weekend out of fear of the road.Furthermore, the amenities were disappointing:* Hot Tub: Advertised prominently, but it is wood-fired. I spent 4–6 hours cutting wood and tending the fire, but the water temperature never rose a single degree.* Outdoor Space: The Solo Stove and chairs were buried in snow and unusable, and the overhead string lights were not * Firewood: Most of the wood provided was wet and stored outside, making it nearly impossible to keep a fire going inside.* Cleanliness: While the decor is nice, we arrived to dirty dishes. It’s frustrating to find dirty kitchenware when the house rules expect guests to do the cleaning upon departure. It is a beautiful location, but until the host addresses the winter accessibility and provides functional

Thanks for the review. For accuracy for future winter guests:
Snow/road conditions: During this stay there was constant snowfall and subzero temperatures. Despite that, we kept the roads and driveway plowed and sanded, though icy conditions can still occur during active storms and freeze events.
Winter access disclosure: Winter access expectations are disclosed in the listing, and we also sent pre-arrival guidance based on the forecast.
Vehicle/tires: We specifically advised using winter/all-weather tires or chains (as needed). “Trail/off-road” tires are not the same as winter-rated tires and can underperform on ice.
Wood-fired hot tub: The hot tub is wood-burning and holds ~650 gallons. Even in warmer months, our materials note it can take 4 hours to heat—so in subzero temperatures, it’s reasonable to expect significantly longer. During this stay, frustration was raised after roughly two hours of heating. Heat-up expectations and steps are clearly stated in the guidebook sent upon booking, which is why we encourage guests to review it before arrival.
Outdoor amenities: We have two fire pit options. In heavy snow and extreme cold, it isn’t realistic to expect the backyard wood-burning fire pit and seating to be fully cleared/ready at all times. However, the deck furniture and deck fire pit are covered with appropriate covers/tarps and can be uncovered and used when conditions allow.
Cleanliness: We were in consistent communication during the stay and did not receive any report of dirty dishes on arrival. If anything is ever missed, messaging us right away allows us to correct it immediately.
