Very pretty, cosy and quiet farmhouse, close to the Baie de Somme and Côte d'Opale

If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and rejuvenating place, in an authentic countryside while being close to the beaches of the Baie de Somme and the Opal Coast, then I think the "Fermette bleuette" should please you! Located between land and sea, the "Fermette bleuette" is a lovely farmhouse (in other words: "peasant house"/cottage) from 1796, completely renovated, bright, very comfortable and super-equipped, located in the pretty hamlet of Petit Chemin (just the name is bucolic in itself:) of the Authie Valley, in Picardy Maritime (between Normandy and the Opal Coast) 25 minutes from the beaches of Berck-sur-Mer, Quend-les-pins, Le Crotoy, the nature reserve of Marquenterre and the medieval town of Montreuil-sur-mer and 35 minutes from Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme and Le Touquet. The house is a few minutes drive from the shops, the abbey of Valloires and its gardens and the Cistercian village of Argoules. The environment is rural, very conducive to letting go and relaxing in a beautiful nature, punctuated by bird songs. The farmhouse is located in the middle of a fenced and flowered garden (roses, wisteria, hydrangeas, etc.) of 5 ares. It is very quiet and quiet because the house is set back from a very little frequented street. And above all, there are no vis-à-vis, nor direct neighbors. The farmhouse was completely renovated in 2022 with the desire to keep its original character and authenticity: it has an "old and rustic" soul with its cob walls, its elm beams, its roof in local tiles, its wood-burning stove stove (new and Godin brand), its fireplaces and its configuration of the time which has been deliberately preserved (ex: the bathroom and the two toilets are on the ground floor and the four bedrooms are upstairs..); it has a "new" soul with fibre optics, its thermomix, the appliances (airfryer, plancha, induction hob, Panasonic video projector..) and bedding (memory foam mattresses,..) new; an "Italian" soul with design touches, a very sought-after decoration ("stylish" as my eldest son would say..), Italian SMEG household appliances (my little guilty pleasure) and, finally, a "romantic" soul (a little "dolls' house" feel) with its blue shutters, its flowers,... The house has an area of 110 m2 and has three bedrooms with beautiful proportions (+ a baby room, smaller) which are upstairs. Practical to come with friends or family. It is a house that delights everyone: young and old (everything is provided on site for children/babies), the sporty (with the GR trails that start on both sides of the village,..) or the less sporty,.. Concretely, when you enter the house, you will find, on the ground floor: a kitchen-dining room with a large table and 6 chairs + 1 children's chair and 1 baby chair, a large Godin wood stove, two large old-fashioned sinks, a console with a Smeg kettle, a toaster, a Bialleti electric coffee maker, a large Smeg filter coffee maker and sufficient cutlery/crockery. The kitchen also has a French window that opens onto the back of the house and a small terrace with table and chairs. In short, the perfect place to enjoy a tea or a coffee! To the right of the kitchen-dining room: a pantry with household appliances (Samsung dishwasher, Moulinex oven, Whirlpool microwave, large designer fridge/freezer, Cakebakery, raclette machine, large electric plancha, Airfryer, Thermomix, removable induction hobs (to reassure you and in case you are "bof-bof" with the wood-stove), a coat rack, a cloakroom, a picnic basket and a toilet/WC. To the left of the kitchen: you will find a corridor that leads to a completely renovated bathroom with sink, bathtub, separate shower cubicle, hairdryer and toilet/WC, then, in the continuity of the corridor: an office which includes a sofa for two people, a stereo, a video projector, then (are you still following me?) at the end of the corridor: the living room with a leather sofa for 3 people and two 1-seater armchairs, a well-stocked library (guides, novels, comics, history magazines, nature, children's books, also in English and Dutch..), a new fireplace stove from the Godin brand and a French window that opens onto a pretty terrace-pergola, facing south, covered with vine and wisteria. On this terrace, there is a teak table, 4 teak chairs, a bench and a deckchair. There are aromatic herbs growing in the garden (rosemary, chives, parsley.. help yourself!). Upstairs: there are two staircases on either side of the house that lead to the bedrooms.Thus, when you are in the kitchen/dining room, you will find a first staircase that goes upstairs and leads to three bedrooms: a small baby room (with a cot with bars, a changing table, a baby monitor, a game shelves, etc.), then a large children's room with 3 single beds which includes play areas (a large toy box, a Playmobil villa with lots of accessories, a - very large - wooden train from the Brio brand, small cars, barbies.. and so on) a library, a school desk and a wardrobe, then, in a row (with door), a large bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, a wardrobe, two bedside tables and many storage shelves. Note: for the little ones, there is a safety gate at the bottom and top of this staircase. The second staircase of the farmhouse is in the living room and leads to a double bedroom which is on the mezzanine, with a 140 cm double bed, a wardrobe, storage, a Samsung TV, two bedside tables and a window with a view of the fields and the wisteria of the garden. This room has a folding hatch and is also isolated from the other bedrooms (in short, perfect if you are grandparents or teenagers,.. because you let the other members of the family fend for themselves with their children in the adjoining rooms. For your comfort, there are blackout blinds in each room, including in the baby room, while the double beds have new pillows and mattresses with memory foam mattresses (it's super comfortable, especially in case of back pain). The bed sheets are also of high quality (linen or organic). The garden is fenced, it has a lockable gate and gate. 2-3 cars can park for free in the gravel driveway in front of the house. There is also a large secure trampoline in the garden (handy for the children to exercise..), a log shelter whose logs you can use to make fireplaces, a Weber charcoal barbecue with utensils and protective cover and a hut in which you will find two adult bikes, three children's bikes (5-7-9 years old), 4 scooters (from 1 year to 8 years old), a balance bike, a pair of rollerblades (29-33 years old), a Yoyo Babyzen folding stroller and.. Lots and lots of beach games. In the summer, there are often 2-3 ponies from the neighbouring farmer who are very curious and will love to try to put their heads over the fence to receive cuddles (and apples and carrots..). An educational farm (with lots of animals) is a 50-metre walk from the house while hiking/cycling trails start at the end of the village. Among the other amenities: a secure key box on site that allows you flexible access and self-catering; a super concierge who is available on request in anticipation of your arrival and in case of need; a baker who delivers fresh bread 3 days a week to order by you; 5 minutes walk from the farmhouse: a succulent gastronomic restaurant (with very good value for money) which uses local and organic products and which also offers a sauna and massages (and for parents looking for a quiet evening, I also have some references from babysitters..); 10 minutes walk (or 2 minutes by car): the famous Saint Christophe Cannery (with its succulent "ready-to-eat" preserves of beef-carrots, vol-au-vent, pre-salted lamb, trout with lemon, cider, jams, honey..). Oh yes! Utilities are included in the price (water/wifi/logs for the fireplaces.. - there is no gas on site) except electricity (from the beginning of October to the end of April). The use of logs for wood stoves and bed sheets are also provided to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Welcome to you!
