We enjoyed our stay. The interior is comfortable and inviting. The deck area has lovely views over the backyard and off toward the mountains. We were in town to celebrate family events so we didn't have much time to hang out, but we found it had everything we needed.

I really enjoyed this property and people. I think vrbo should be easier to use.

Hello James, you rated your stay as 5 stars overall with me which includes (cleanliness, house rules, communication). Vrbo user interface has nothing to do with my listing ratings. I wish you contacted their customer service regarding such experience instead of lowering the ratings.
This property was great. Cozy little place to stay. Bed was very comfortable. We didn’t need to make any food while visiting so not having a stove wasn’t an issue. Great place for a quick overnight or weekend.
I love this property. Host was very easy to communicate with and answered my messages immediately and even checked to make sure everything went smoothly with check in. The room itself is so nice and just as pictured. Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy the outside but the weather was not conducive but that is Mother Nature fault not the host
When I arrived, I saw that the front door was filthy. There was no top sheet on the bed. The duvet cover smelled strongly of perfume. I had one bath towel, a kitchen towel and no wash cloth. The owner called me to ask me to move my car to the street when the site clearly stated on site parking. He explained that he thought the culdesacvwas part of his site. I noticed a small white device in the ceiling that had a light on it. When I took a picture of it, the light immediately went out. I called VRBO and sent them the picture and they could not identify it. I suspect that it was a camera. The property is advertised as being on a lake but I saw no lake. The remote control was not functional and the owner admitted to knowing this but made no effort to replace it until the evening of the second day. The site claimed that there was an ice maker but there was not. My last VRBO unit was wonderful. This was not and I left a day early and stayed in a hotel.

Hello Kathie,
I'm sorry you felt that way. I believe we addressed all your concerns during your stay, but it seems you were not content with the responses. Let's address them here again:
1. "Filthy" Door: Due to weather elements, the door may appear dirty, but this is a natural occurrence. Please note that door knobs and locks are sanitized regularly, and the door's functionality remains intact.
2. "Perfumed" Duvet, Top Sheet, and Washcloth**: Most of my guests are satisfied with the duvet cover and washcloth. When you requested fresh ones, they were promptly provided. Regarding the fragrance, we use Febreze to freshen the bedding after it has been washed.
3. Parking: My listing clearly states that guest parking is in the cul-de-sac to avoid blocking the driveway. Despite multiple reminders, you repeatedly ignored this rule. This is a crucial part of our house rules.
4. Small Ceiling Device: When VRBO customer service contacted me about your concern regarding this "mysterious" device, I explained that it is a smoke detector. I encouraged you to take videos and pictures to verify its purpose.
5. Lake View: I have never claimed that the property has a lake view, and I do not agree with such a description.
6. Remote: When you informed me about the damaged remote button, I provided a backup remote for your use.
I hope these written responses are reassuring. VRBO does not allow hosts to write descriptive reviews about guests, but here are some reasons I would avoid renting my place to you again:
- You were very rude and aggressive and did not follow house rules.
- You repeatedly parked your car in the driveway, blocking others, and were aggressive when asked to move it, despite guest parking being less than 50 feet away.
- You rummaged through items designated for the cleaning crew and left a mess.
- You locked yourself out one morning and blocked my wife's access to work by parking in the driveway. When my wife entered the master code for you, you rudely demanded the code and slammed the door so hard it woke up my sleeping children in the adjacent building.
Overall, after hosting hundreds of guests across various platforms, I have never encountered such a rude, entitled, and aggressive guest. I would avoid renting to you at any cost, as you are better suited for a hotel.
Sincerely,
Wais
What a beautiful quaint space to have guests! Felt like a cabin in the woods and the peace and quiet that comes with that environment. Felt completely comfortable and I didn't want for anything. Inside, the walls and ceilings were wooden and had that cabin feel. It was nice to control the temperature and the ceiling fan. The bathroom is exceptional, especially the shower. The balcony is an open deck that overlooks beautiful woods where deer would venture into the yard in the morning and the evening. Sitting at the table outside was a great place for morning coffee and meditation / refection to start the day! Would have stayed outside all day if there would have been an umbrella for shade. There is a major construction project with typical construction sights and sounds; however, they are lower in the valley and I didn't find them bothersome at all. There were two different possible codes to use for the door, upon arrival, which was confusing; however, I was able to figure out the one needed. The stairs are rather steep and I can see why children are not allowed. At one point children were running and playing along a shared wall where the bathroom is; however, it was not overwhelmingly bothersome and children's happiness is a great sign that the owner's are good people. Any questions or concerns I had were immediately answered and addressed without delay. Wais was very accommodating. Cozy Pine Tree Nest is now a favorite! Lucky me to have it so close by where I live.
