From May through October, a complimentary Golf Cart is provided for touring the trails in comfort.
Your well-behaved one or two dogs are welcome.
This cabin has all the modern conveniences including air conditioning, wood-burning fireplace, internet, two TVs and a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. Outside there is a fire pit with wood provided.

Canoeing and tubing on the St. Croix and Namekagan Rivers through Pardun Conoe Rental in Danbury.
Four-wheeling? Bring yours or rent from Throttle RX Rentals in Danbury.
St. Croix State Park, Minnesota's largest, has activities in every season. Crex Meadows Wildlife Area in Grantsburg has great wildlife watching, particularly during spring and fall migrations. Forts Folle Avoine in Webster, Wisconsin is a reproduction of an 1803 fur trading post.

This home was beautiful, had everything you need and then some, wonderful location, if your a bird watcher or not you will definitly enjoy the view. Will stay again
We love being able to walk right out the door and hit the hiking trails. We've been here multiple times and will keep coming back. We even found a trail or two that we hadn't explored before and we hike quite a bit each time we are there.Watching the wildlife out the windows is great! We were very grateful for the early checkin so we could get out hiking on our first night there. The pups love it too.
This was our fourth stay at the cabin and it was as wonderful as always. We loved using the snowshoes out on the trails and coming back to our cozy cabin to cook dinner in the well-appointed kitchen. The cleanliness is also top notch.
Fantastic cabin in a very serene setting! The cabin and setting are even nicer in real life than the pictures convey. Very clean and well-stocked with nice touches of hospitality.
This was my 7th or 8th stay at Woodland Trails Cabin. The bird watching, golf cart rides, and the beautiful cabin are what bring me back. John and Sandra are fantastic as well as the rest of the staff who keep the cabin, lodge and trails looking fabulous. I can't say enough about this property!
Perfect for our group. Very welcoming vibe. Kitchen had everything we needed and more and was organized so well. Beautiful fall views out the windows; screened porch was also peaceful to watch for wildlife. Super clean, communication was excellent.
We absolutely love coming up here! After several years of visiting Woodland Trails, this cabin has become woven into some of our favorite memories. There’s just something magical about this place - the peace, the tranquility, that “deep breath the second you arrive” kind of feeling. The cabin itself is perfection in the woods. Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of - it's comfortable, incredibly clean, and stocked with everything you could possibly need (and then a few things you didn’t even know you needed!). You can tell a lot of love and intention went into making this space so welcoming.Thank you, John, Sandra, and the entire Woodland Trails team, for sharing such a special property. Each visit feels like coming home, and we can’t wait to make even more memories here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin! We loved the setting and the ability to ride the trails. This was a very unique amenity. The cabin was well stocked and immaculately clean. We definitely hope to get the chance to return!
Location was perfect, very nice house, spent hours watching all the birds and squirrels eating from all the feeders. Endless trails and the golf cart was nice to explore them.
Wow. Just wow! What a wonderful cabin and property! We couldn't have asked for a nicer, more relaxing stay. It's obvious the care and feeling that has gone into making this place something really special. The attention to detail, in everything, is amazing. Thank you both for sharing this little piece of heaven!
Woodland Trails Cabin is a great place to stay. This place was spotless! The cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at numerous places. The bird watching was fabulous and our dog loved watching squirrels and golf cart rides. Thank you for offering this beautiful place to stay!Sally and Mike
We loved staying here. Exploring the endless trails on the golf cart, many loops around the pond and endless porch time reading and watching birds and squirrels. Really grateful to have ended our first trip to this area of the country in such a beautiful place. Pictures don’t do the home justice- it’s so peaceful and beautifully decorated
Property was beautiful and we can't wait to stay again. We spent a lot of time sitting on the screen in porch watching the birds and squirrels. The golf cart was used daily riding the trail and still found a new trail on the last day.

About the host
Hosted by Sandra
We, John & Sandra, moved the Cabin to its present site in 2003 when we built a B & B, which is now called the Lodge, across the field. The cabin was completely remodeled at that time and has been continuously improved since.
The Lodge and Cabin are our retirement projects which we have found to be really enjoyable.
Why they chose this property
Unique about the Cabin is that it is located on our woodland with miles of private trails and a great view of the St. Croix River Valley. The trails are for hiking in summer and snowshoeing in winter (we have complimentary snowshoes).
What makes this property unique
There are over three miles of groomed trails that wind through our woods and past the Beaver Pond. You can hike on our trails or, if you prefer, from May through October, tour with a golf cart which is complimentary. In winter we have snowshoes.
