This property is super clean. Every detail is perfect. This host thought of everything. We only had 4 people staying, but a large family could stay comfortably. The men in our group enjoyed a little fishing. We came for the Clemson game, and it was a convenient distance away. We will be back.
Nice lake house, lake was down about 7ft. so dock was shallow, so neighbor let us tie to their dock, thanks. nice coffee bar just need to bring your own coffee. Water was cut off to fridge for issue, so property manager left us with water and ice, thanks. Enjoyed our stay, was everything as listed.
Great home for a family get together! Everything is very well-organized and clear directions are provided. Great communication with the owner - very responsive! House is on a quite cove of Lake Hartwell with nearby boat ramps! We had a great time and hope to return.
We took our youth group to Lake Hartwell for a retreat and had a wonderful time. Our hosts Carolyn and David were very responsive and provided everything we needed to make our weekend so memorable. In the past we've rented places and ended up bringing things like trash bags, soap, dish detergent, etc. but Carolyn provided everything we needed for a worry-free trip. The towels were luxurious and plentiful and there were plenty of blankets and pillows for all. They even provided life jackets since a couple of the kids aren't real strong swimmers.
We are planning a getaway for the adults and will definitely stay here again.
Thank you Carolyn and David for really making our trip special.
Negligent property owners, unsafe, do not book w/small children. major FATAL safety hazards.
falsly advertised. extremely unsafe. unwelcoming, aggressive notes everywhere, threatening to add fees, warning not to mess up the place but no warnings for the many FATAL safety hazards. 2 sets of stairs inside, with no hand rails, dont meet code requirements. baby gate will not provide a solution bc shape of stairs.only 1 tv in dining room & 1on 3rd floor. none of the 3 toilets were bolted to the floor, my toddler climbed off toilet & if i had not been there to catch him, toilet would've fallen over on top of him. loose pickets on deck & 3 were missing in an unnoticeable place, leaving a 3ft gap where my child was playing. if i hadn't noticed this my baby wouldve fallen 10/12ft on to a pile of giant rocks on an incline.to say there is no safe way down to lake is an understatement. my mother couldnt even get down to lake. 4 adults 5 teens & a 2yr old all got hurt in a matter of 3 days getting themselves to lake.lower deck was not set up-shower curtains clipped to patio furniture, trash bags over umbrellas heavy furniture stacked.had to uncover, move &set up, fell while doing so-sprained my ankle on loose board about 2inch higher than rest of deck. microwave was duct taped, had to unplug bc the plate wouldnt stop spnning. hornets nest on deck & on dock, many got stung, no 1st aid kit. coffee station NOT stocked. The waterfall is just a trickle down some rocks on someone elses private property.was in a constant state of panic that my baby would be fatally harmed. GLAD TO BE HOME!
The host for this property is great - a personal welcome sign and home made cookies. So sweet! Plenty of places to sleep for the variety of kids and adults.
Friendly neighbor, willing to share his kayaks do we had plenty. The only problem was the steep drive - scraped the bottom of the car getting in and out.
The house was beautiful, just as it is on the site! The house was clean from top to bottom.. We were all comfortable and very satisfied with our stay! The neighbors were awesome! We took the canoes for a spin around the lake. The neighbors were a lot of help & took us on a boat ride!
The house is filled with plenty of liens, dishes&games! We will most definitely revisit this location! The water fall was beautiful !
We had a fantastic visit, everything about the house was perfect! Extremely clean, plenty of space inside and out, and the location was quiet and peaceful. We’ll definitely look to stay here again in the future!
If we could give 10 stars, we would. This was a wonderful getaway for the weekend. The cabin was quaint and comfortable, from the moment we got to the house (VERY late) to us leaving. We will definitely be renting this again for future Clemson games. Go Tigers.
We were in town for the Clemson game and stayed for the weekend. It was perfect, exactly as listed. We will definitely keep this on our list for next time.
The property is very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed swimming in the lake every morning and evening and in hosting a couple for dinner and breakfast. With the fans running, the screened-in porch is very comfortable even when it is very warm. We enjoyed looking down at the lake from the porch. Our host was very concerned with meeting guests’ needs. This is one of the few Vrbo properties to which we may return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Everything was clean. Felt welcoming like home. Steep walk to dock like they said. Stocked with everything you could need. Nice welcoming cookies. Spent time on lake boating and grilling out and hanging out on porches. Loved everything about it!
We wanted an easy, close and comfortable end of summer short vacation before school started and found it here!!! The house was immaculate (truly spotless) and the host was so easy to communicate with. We loved the different levels in the house. The teens loved the upstairs loft area and their own bathroom. We enjoyed jumping off the dock and peaceful private cove which allowed us hours of fun splashing & swimming. My husband was grateful for the provided canoe that he could escape in for some fishing bliss. Wonderful short trip from Atlanta that was the perfect getaway for our family. Great house, porch for relaxing and comfortable beds and rooms for our family and friends. Thank you!

Beware of owner
Beware of owner, she tries to make up thongs that were damaged just so she can update and fix broken items in her house. She has white rugs outside and expects them not to get dirty and will try to charge you to repaint house because of a hand print on wall. When i got there, there were 2 blinds broken and she tried to charge me to replace blinds because of a tiny mark in one blind and said my dog chewed it up.
The lake house was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location for lake time. We brought our 24’ boat and had no problem tying it to the dock. We all enjoyed swimming and fishing off that same dock. The home was very well organized and had plenty of linens, towels and kitchen supplies. Owners even stocked extra toilet paper which is always a bonus. Homemade cookies greeted us on arrival as well as a cute sign welcoming our family. The walk to the lake is steep, just as it says in the write up- we definitely kept our legs strong walking up and down both the hill and the stairs. This was a great place to unwind and enjoy family time on a beautiful lake.
