Dog friendly Sea Ranch getaway nestled in-between the ocean and golf course
A nicely updated 2 bed 2 bath home with common area meadow in front providing an unobstructed view to the ocean and meadow behind. The living room and dining area are located in the front of the residence providing nice meadow and ocean views. The bedrooms are located in the back of the residence and have views of the meadow which borders the now closed golf course and are set far back enough from the living room to provide privacy and quiet. Hot tub located in private patio area in the front of the residence. Parking passes provided with full access to rec center with pool. Just minutes to the coastal trail and close to beach access. I am unable to accept bookings on the same day a party is checking out as that doesn't allow the cleaning crew sufficient time to clean. Next day bookings are fine. Great place!- Hot tub (always hot) is awesome and has good view of sunset/stars- Plenty of room- Short walk to bluffs, very cool neighborhood- Host communicates well easy check in / check out- Kitchen is solidly stocked, could use a better coffee machine and some spice/oil refreshes is all
This was the second time we stayed at this Sea Ranch house, and we had another wonderful 6-day stay. The house is very comfortable in every way and has a lovely view of the ocean across a meadow. The master bedroom bed is excellent, and both bathrooms are very nice. The kitchen worked well for us as we ate in most of the time. Several Sea Ranch trails are just a short walk away which we and our dog really enjoyed. We look forward to our next stay here!
The house has a nice view of the ocean from the front rooms and deck and a view of the golf course from the back of the house. The house is very nice and could comfortably accommodate 4 people. We would recommend it to others looking for a place to stay at Sea Ranch
This is a wonderful property and close to the bluffs and walking trails. Communication with the host Kirk was seamless, would absolutely stay at this property again.
Our family had a relaxing holiday together in this comfortable and perfectly located property. We would definitely stay here again and Kirk was a very easy and helpful host.
We loved this house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's very clean, nice large windows in the living room, hot tub, gas fireplace, and nice view of the golf course in the back of the house. The kitchen was well-stocked, too. We definitely will stay here again!
Came here to escape busy city life in San Francisco for 5 days, my parents joined me. Clean property, lovely host, great location! It was the perfect spot to decompress and the view was spectacular. I will definitely be making another booking soon!
This property was perfect for us and our dog. The house was sparkling clean, very comfy and nicely furnished. The beds were excellent with quality bedding, and the bathrooms were very nicely updated. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved the location, which is just a short walk to the coastal trail, and the ocean view. This is a wonderful place to stay in Sea Ranch!
We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs (on the front deck) and watching the ocean and the elk run by. Also loved the 8 mile trail along the coast the the Sea Ranch lodge. Comfortable beds, nicley stocked kitchen, and big TV. Also loved watching sunset from the Sea Ranch lodge deck and then having dinner at the restaurant there. Upscale trendy menu and service!
We had a fantastic stay. The house was perfect for us. It was very clean. Our 1 y/o was able to navigate the few steps without problems. We enjoyed the hot tub. It was a short walk to the coast trail. Kirk was very responsive to our texts. We would love to visit again.

Sea Ranch house
THE house was great are only issue was the morning we were checking out there was very noisey construction going on at the house next door at 8am. THe before check out the man came to clean the spa. Felt very disruptive on our last day.
Three adults/one pet. It was a marvelous visit. I loved sitting in the livingroom and being able to see the water. The lack of not having cable was a blessing in disguise. More reading time, jigsaw puzzle, Mexican Train and cards all happened. Who needs cable?? Weather was great also. It was the perfect trip and this is the 3rd visit to Sea Ranch in a year. Thank you.
Good distant ocean view from house or front deck plus a small back deck with a meadow and golf course view. House is compact but comfortable and is very well maintained. While we did not really need AC or heating, it is nice to know it has AC. The check-in and out processes were very easy. Kitchen set up good for basic cooking but not great, but we cooked almost every nite and it was fine. We stayed for two weeks and while my wife as not sure she would enjoy such an extended stay, she did end up reveling in the extended peace and quiet anf foggy morning walks. I was also very happy but never doubted that outcome and the house and its location and comforts guaranteed our stay being wonderful.
Nice house. Good view. Comfortable. Hot tub was hot. Bathrooms good. Could use more serving bowls. Plenty of cereal/soup bowls, not very many bigger bowls. Like the hooks in every room. Our dog is happy here too.
We stayed for my moms 80th birthday. The house was a great location, close to Gualala, and bluff trails. The home had minimal steps which was great for my mom. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
This property is in a great location and is exactly as described/pictured. Host was responsive to questions and the house provided all the basic needed amenities. Highly recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Kirk Campbell
My parents were some of the original buyers at Sea Ranch. I have a lot of great memories of visiting them here. I would often fly in and buzz their house which would be my signal to have them come pick me up at the Sea Ranch Airport. Ever since they sold their property I was hopeful of some day being able to own a place at Sea Ranch as it has been such a big part of my family. My dad especially loved it here and had written a number of articles for the Soundings, a Sea Ranch publication. When I took ownership of the property from the former owners, I was pleasantly surprised to find on a shelf in the kitchen a booklet published by the Sea Ranch Association entitled, By the Ocean, which was comprised off a compilation of a number of articles that my dad had written for the Soundings about local marine life. This just seemed to reinforce that I made the correct decision to purchase this property. My dad, who passed away a few years ago, I think would have approved and this was his way of letting me know. The house is named after him.
Why they chose this property
This property I believe is in a really nice location (of course it is hard to find a bad location here) being nestled in between two meadows and having a view of the ocean with a short walk to the coastal trail.
