Building B is the premier beachfront building at Makena Surf, set among lush tropical gardens. From our condo (B202), gaze endlessly at the ocean, watch the whales breach (seasonal), experience magical sun sets, step onto the beach to swim or snorkel with the turtles or play in the waves on a boogie board. Our condo fronts a long, sandy beach with dramatic black lava rock outcroppings that will take your breath away! You will get sweeping views of the Pacific and unobstructed views of Molokini crater and the islands of Kaho'olawe and Lanai. It has been fully remodeled and represents island luxury at its best. Grill on the lanai (deck), cook in the kitchen, or just relax and let the Hawaiian Aloha vibe take over. The pool and jacuzzi are steps from the front door, tennis and pickleball courts and fitness room are a few more steps away on the property. Two luxury golf courses are less than a mile away. About a mile away, you can rent kayaks and Stand-Up Paddleboards. Upscale Wailea shops and restaurants are about 2 miles away, and many other dining options abound within 5 miles.
Sustainability:
We use eco-friendly cleaners and detergents that are better for your health and for the health of the planet. We also provide personal products (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap) that are eco-friendly and free of toxic chemicals so you don't have buy any for your stay. Our linens and towels are OEKO-TEX certified.

Stay was the best! We have been to Makena Surf int he past. This room had all our needs and more. Very clean, very comfortable. Views cant be beat. Would be even better between dec-march when the whales are here in full force

Perfect Location

This is a great property at a beautiful, oceanfront location in Mākena. A short swim to turtle bay where we saw turtles while snorkeling. We saw whales from the balcony. We look forward to returning in the future.

Incredibile view

We enjoyed our stay at Makena Surf! The view is unreal! We loved sitting out on the lanai and the very short walk to the beach below was amazing. The hosts were great and we appreciated that there was a washer/dryer and the place was well stocked with beach gear to use. Would definitely stay here again!

Phenomenal Property

I had very high expectations of the property based on the description and they were summarily exceeded. Views from the balcony were amazing, great snorkeling with turtles right off the beach area, and a nice private beach area really stood out. Absolutely would stay again!

Makena Surf is our favorite property and Manish and Superna have a beautiful 2 BR unit. They are accommodating and provide great tips for things to do on the island. Their unit is our first choice for a 2BR.

Awesome place

This condo has an awesome environmental vibe to it. The view from the deck is tough to beat! Very well appointed bedrooms/living room/bathrooms. Great Wi-Fi. The beach toy box has just about everything you might need. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely stunning views!

Wailea is a beautiful area where this condo is located. It is very quiet here. As you walk in the front door, the views capture your attention right away. The sunsets are spectacular. This condo was perfect in every way. For two couples, it worked out very well.

Simply wonderful

This condo is amazing. It is in a great location and the beach is wonderful. Never crowded, great snorkeling, and we saw turtles everyday we went swimming. It is close enough to Kihei to shop, eat, and explore other beaches. The sunset view from the lanai cannot be beat. The hosts had the condo well stocked with everything you could need, including beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and beach towels. They responded quickly to any questions we had and checkin/checkout was a breeze. Paradise!

Family vacation

Wow! The location was amazing. You are close to shopping and restaurants but the location was quiet and serene. Easy drive to almost all locations and activities. The best part was only being steps away from swimming with turtles every morning! I was a bit nervous booking a big trip for the first time with Vrbo. However, our host was extremely easy to email and responded usually in just a few minutes. I would not hesitate to return to this condo in the future Greg

Wonderful Vacation

The location overlooks the beach and is close to the pool, providing easy access to both. Communication was great and we were provided with recommendations for activities/restaurants/rentals prior to our visit. The property appears as listed and it was perfect for my family's needs. We were celebrating a birthday and college graduation and a card with congratulations was waiting for us. It was a nice touch!

Beautiful home and location!

This was an absolutely beautiful home and location. The proximity to such a great beach for snorkeling and playing in the ocean was a huge upside. The owners and on-island manager Christine were fantastic. We forgot a backpack in the unit after checkout and Christine saved us from missing our flight which was tremendously appreciated. The only thing not incredible is the beds are some of the firmest any of us ever felt in our lives, so we ended up putting a 3” foam pad from Costco on top after the first night which totally saved it. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Most amazing views ever

Makena Surf B202 was amazing. The property was just as described in the listing. However, I will say that no description can do justice to the views from the patio. The condo was clean, organized and had everything we needed for the week. The management company and owners were so helpful with any questions we had and very communicative with us. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay that is very well taken care of, B202 is your place. We can't wait to book another trip there.

Beautiful location- right next to Turtle Town!

My family loved this location in Maui-we enjoyed the close proximity to both the beach and pool, as well as spending time out on the balcony. I did not realize when I’d booked that the rocky area to the left of the beach (you’ll need to snorkel along that rocky area out to the middle between the two beach areas) that this was Turtle Town (or something similar)!! The rafting snorkel tours would stop in daily to give their snorkelers a good view of the turtles because there is a natural cleaning station there- a special kind of fish who clean the turtles’ shells. My family loves snorkeling and had brought our own gear and it was great to be able to snorkel there whenever we wanted. The condo was great and just as described.

We are a retired couple who loves the water. Suparna is an avid scuba diver, snorkeler and kayaker. Manish is a golf fanatic. We have been visiting Maui for two decades, and finally in late 2020, bought this beautiful condo to fulfill a life dream. We spend several months a year in this condo, and would love to share its magic with other caring families and couples when we are not using it. We can recommend restaurants, dive shops, snorkeling spots, golf courses, hikes and other activities!

Why they chose this property

It was essential for us that the property be beachfront so we could walk out of the condo onto the sand. We love the colorful vegetation of Hawaii and our condo is set in beautifully maintained tropical gardens with plumeria, ginger, bougainvillea, crotons, palms and other trees and plants. Makena Surf is about a mile away from the hotels and condos of Wailea and Kihei which makes the starry skies bright and magical! And given Suparna's passion for snorkeling and the location of Maui's famed turtles just a few fin strokes away, this property was ideal for us.

What makes this property unique

Beach front. Walk out on the sand. Snorkel off the beach. Less than a mile to Wailea golf courses. About a mile to kayak and SUP rentals. A short drive to upscale Wailea shops, all the terrific restaurants at the resorts, and other great dining and shopping choices in nearby Kihei and Wailea. Located on the quiet part of the island (which Suparna loves) yet minutes away from all the people energy (which Manish loves).
