Marvelous Makena

We were so fortunate in choosing Makena Surf for our vacation spot in Maui. It was perfect- location, beach access, snorkeling, views of the ocean and humpbacks and sunsets, and a very well staged condo with great kitchen accoutrements. Everting was first class-thanks for a wonderful visit!

Family vacation

Perfect overlooking the ocean. We loved the location not to mention we had the beach practically to ourselves. Such an amazing stay. Maui is amazing! We are heartbroken at the tragedy of the fires. Praying for everyone.

Great place with lots of room

Great location, nice roomy condo. Most things inside are upgraded, although the kitchen could be a lit bit more well equipped. No major complaints however. Nice place.

Wonderful!

The view is stunning. The entire property is gorgeous. This particular unit was just perfect. It was close enough to everything to be convenient, but far enough away to feel secluded. I cannot recommend this property highly enough!

Amazing view, great location!

The property was exactly as described - amazing views, we lived on the lanai when we were at the condo! The property management company made everything easy and provided great recommendations, and the location was outstanding - we love the Wailea/Makena area and the Makena Surf is a great complex - a wonderful beach is right outside your door with great snorkeling (we saw turtles every day!!), pool and grounds. We definitely will be coming back!

Magical

The property is set between two of the best beaches in Hawaii. The grounds look like a botanical garden hosting a variety of beautiful flowers, birds and lizards. Colorful reefs border the property, providing a snorkeling paradise of sea life. We did not want to leave!

Maui Magic!

Absolutely outstanding condo and experience! First, the location is unbeatable. Away from crowds on one of the most beautiful parts of the island, right on one of the best beaches and reefs. Matter of fact, the snorkel boats pull up with their tours right in front of the property, but don't worry- they don't stay long. It was so great to walk one minute to the beach and swim with sea turtles every day. With three kids, the convenience of walking to the beach and snorkeling is invaluable. Rent gear from Snorkel Bob's just minutes away in Wailea. The condo itself is beautiful, updated and well-stocked. Nice furniture, bathrooms and amenities. Management is extremely attentive, even calling to check on us the first day. No issues whatsoever- book it, you won't regret it!

The condo was very nice; however, for the money, we expected it to be nicer. The lanai & view were great. The kitchen and bathes were very nice. However, the furniture & decor seemed very dated. It looked like it was the furniture from when the condo was first constructed 20 years ago. Our major complaint was the noise. We could hear every step - clomp, clomp, clomp - from the people staying in the condo above us. VERY annoying. We would not book this condo again.

Overall as usual Makena Surf property and unit were great. Ali’i Mgt was very very helpful, communication was excellent and we appreciated their support. Only negative was consistent loud foot traffic and furniture being moved in the unit above us- both weeks. Makena surf accommodations, facilities, beach and staff are all top notch, extremely high standards, friendly. Beaches are perfect.

Beautiful part of the world

Lovely property in a perfect location. Quiet, relaxing complex with beach, tennis and pool all within walking distance. (Golf and snorkeling very nearby). We did a lot of cooking at the condo because we so enjoyed being able to relax on the beautiful deck. Condo had everything we needed. We were 4 adults and it felt spacious and relaxing.

Nice condo in Makena

The location of this condo is top notch, best place on Maui. Right above a beautiful beach with tons of turtles that you can walk down to. The condo is a bit dated and the master bed mattress was a bit worn. Kitchen was well stocked. The management company seems to employ a bunch of teenagers/millenials that don't really know anything. But the location was fantastic. Would stay again.

All the snorkeling and kayak trips end up at the reef that’s off the small beach in your backyard! The grounds are beautiful. The unit is very well done and comfortable. The lanai is amazing....no reason to leave really but we still did. Just a wonderful place and well worth the money

This was my first experience staying at a condo. We love staying at the high-end resorts in Wailea. The view from the condo looks like the resorts and you are closer to the beach! My favorite part was being able to open the sliding doors on the entire wall to either enjoy the view and hear the waves from the lanai or the living room/dining room. I enjoyed making breakfast every morning with that view. This condo was perfect. Spacious, homey and nicely decorated. Costs can go up with resort parking fees and rentals for the beach. They had beach benches and umbrellas. We got a great deal with Snorkel Bob, 2 days for $100. Had to be one of the best vacations we ever had. I definitely would recommend it and hope to return soon. Thank you for a memorable time.

A perfect piece of of paradise!

A true gem! My husband and I, along with our three kids loved our recent stay at Makena Surf. The view and privacy from the second floor unit was breathtaking. We enjoyed daily sunsets and watching the waves from the spacious lanai. The condo was nicely appointed with plenty of room for the five of us. The kitchen had everything we needed and was nicely stocked for cooking in. We appreciated having boogie boards, beach chairs and extra toys for our hours in the sand. The location was also incredible, nestled between two beaches full of sea turtles. The Makena Surf community was beautifully maintained, full of flowers and shaded by trees. The property felt safe and secluded, yet close enough to walk or take a short drive down to shops, golf and the busy resorts in Wailea. We're already planning our next trip back.

Excellent condo! Great location!

You couldn't go wrong with this wonderful condo! You have your choice between two beaches! The smaller private one is pictured. There is another huge beach just steps to the opposite direction. You can see Molokini from the lani of this condo. Wailea is just 3 minutes north by car. Kihei is just 5-7 minutes north by car. It's very quiet around the grounds day or night. For local fish caught by the locals ask for "Billy". We had some fresh yellow tail and spiny lobster caught that morning. "Three's" restaurant is by far the best for a local place with the freshest of fish and great drinks that is the best bang for the buck in kihei. So glad we chose to do this condo vs going to a resort. We saved thousands! Thanks to this great condo, my wife and I are looking for a place to buy in the future!

Fantastic property in great location

We enjoyed living here tremendously. The view was spectacular and the unit had everything you could want. It was comfortable and spacious, with all the comforts of home and more. With all upgraded equipment, it was easy and luxurious living. The complex is nicely quiet and removed from the major resort areas, but the proximity to whatever you needed made it easy to get wherever you wanted on this part of the island. Highly recommended..
