Dalston/Hackney is becoming a trendy area of London with many restaurants, bars, markets and foreign shops. Our loft is 5 minutes away in a quiet residential area of a converted Victorian industrial building. Roads, footpaths and parking are closed off by electronic gates. The loft is central enough to reach Piccadilly in 25 minutes by bus and tube. Since 08/2022 the loft has been partially renovated and is available for rent again.

Good location; close to local shops and cafés and easy access to central London. Excellent Bagel shop directly opposite gates. Spacious. Quiet location. Appreciated having a parking space too.

We did not met our guest personally. There was no complain from our cleaning lady.
Nice gated community, clean, comfortable house with basic amenities available such as tp, coffee, laundry detergent etc. Close to many wonderful places to eat.
We had no issues and the place was exactly as depicted. The host was very helpful with information before our arrival. Excellent price for great location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
This felt like a slice of true London. The apartment was clean, comfortable for six of us, and charming inside, and in a secure and quiet building. The Tube was about a 10 minute walk, the neighborhood was eclectic, felt safe, and we enjoyed the bagel shop across the street from the apartment, several coffee shops and small groceries. The door lock takes patience, even with the video, but works. The owner had good communication with us. We would stay again.
The three bedroom, 3 story location completely met our needs. Beds were fine and bathrooms worked well. The key pad entry system was finicky, but worked. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. Would stay there again.
Good place to be based for our holiday. All facilities were good. We didn’t cook but there was a good kitchen. Easy walk to the overland stations. Always enjoy our visits to London.
Highly recommend for a great location and fully stocked home. We have thee kids, and this was definitely kid friendly and we felt very safe. Hans-Georg was very responsive and helpful.
this place is spacious in a very chic urban gated community. The landscaping surrounding the property was some of the best that I observed in London. We stayed for four nights.The place was well-appointed except for the towels which should be more plush.
We enjoyed our stay very much, close to the tube as advertised. One suggestion would be more towels, we had 6 people and one bath towel and one hand towel each, and the combination washer and dryer was very small and couldn’t wash more than 4 at a time. Also it took us three days to find the washer/dryer - it’s underneath the kitchen sink!
We spent 10 days at the loft with 6 - my husband and I with our 4 older teens - during our first trip to London. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. It was warm, spacious, clean, and homey. And the 2 washrooms were a godsend. The local area provided us with everything we needed within a 5-10 min walk. We were a short bus or train ride from everywhere else we wanted to go. Hans was wonderful to deal with from our first communication through to the end of our trip. If we ever go back, we would definitely stray here again. Thanks so much Hans!!

Not as described-Older adults beware
Location area of London dirty with garbage. Never any mention of steep stairs to the second level not clean; unsteady banister rails on stairs with a wobbly pole at the top; unstable dining room chairs; NO freezer or microwave. NO toilet on 2nd floor is dangerous in respect to the steep stairs. NO bath mat in the tub to avoid slipping (we bought one and left it for others) nor any bath mats to use on the floor once out of the shower or tub. Carpet and LR furniture dirty and with spots.
Our fellow traveller almost sprained her ankle and wrist twice going up and down the stairs. This unit is far from conducive for older adults. The inability to regulate temperatures on the first floor, lack of comforters and pillows (non-down and one pillow per bed-different than seen on photos) for sleeping, and unsafe conditions led us to vacate your flat on Sunday, May 28 and take up residence in town at OUR additional expense.
The final straw was when the electric door code system said - REPLACE BATTERIES. We did not want to be locked in or out of the property. Owner indicated that he would pick up the excess mail (from 2022) the next time you were in London, it indicated that you were not close (Germany) to the property and would not be able to assist as needed. There should have been someone local in town (housekeeper / manager?) for any problems/questions which would come up while in the flat.
We are former VRBO owners during the past 16 years. This unit is not fit for VRBO.

First of all, we are sorry that our apartment did not meet your requirements. We always try to provide our guests with a pleasant stay. However, we are surprised that you did not mention any of these difficulties during your stay.
We realize that there was a misunderstanding between your reading and our description of the apartment. Please do NOT expect items that are not described in the portal homeaway. We do not describe that our loft has no stairs (our photos even show stairs), has a toilet on each level, has a freezer and microwave installed, has more pillows than occupied beds, nor do we have any influence on a clean environment outside the residential area.
We were particularly surprised by this guest's behaviour of leaving our apartment without locking the front door. I had to ask our housekeeper to lock the door instead, which works even if the battery has only 30% energy left.
This property met our needs very well for our five nite stay in London (a couple travelling with three teenagers and another adult). Very functional, with good size bedrooms (beds comfortable), and loft. Kitchen was well-equipped, except for no freezer section of fridge. Two bathrooms (shower in each), both on lower level (of three levels).
We liked the loft, and the complex it was in. Gated, locked complex, easy to access with combo. (Get specific instructions on where the Complex is located - was a little bit hidden on first locating it.) Door look was a little funky, but once you got used to how to lock/unlock, all was good. We were there on a few days of record heat, and although we realize there was no AC, a few movable fans in the place would have helped, especially for some air movement when sleeping.
Hackney area is up-and-coming, with a number of factors resulting in property values going up significantly. Multi-cultural area. Felt fairly safe walking around, even later in the evening. (But like any big city, use good judgement.)
six minute walk to Dalton Kingsland overland train, which connects to main subway lines easily. So while it is a ways from the main London attractions, overland and subway gets you there in 25 min. Grocery store next to the Dalton Kingsland station is excellent, and some nearby restaurants and pubs also good.
Ines was very good property manager, responding quickly when we sent communications her way, and was pleasant to deal with. WiFi was good, and living area/dining room are very comfortable. New rugs on bedroom level and stairs would be a nice upgrade for that lower level.
We had some minor inconveniences (cleaning lady did not ensure bathroom tissue was left (ughhh! - Ines apologised!); paper towels and some additional towels would have been nice; table cloth was dirty from previous tenants; a small freezer box would be helpful; and fans for extremely hot days. However, the pros definitely outweighed the cons. And the VRBO property description accurately reflects the property. No negative surprises, which is always a good thing.
This is an affordable accomodation which is good for families or small groups on somewhat of a budget. In a vibrant area of the city, which allows one to get a feel for how real people live! :-) We liked it and would recommend.
Die Wohnung entspricht den Angaben der Beschreibung, liegt in einer ruhigen Lage und bietet eine gute Lage zur Erkundung Londons. Geschäfte und Restaurants in der nahen Umgebung.Die Wohnung war sauber, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert und freundlich. Die Beschreibung des Check-in war perfekt und der Check-in verlief sehr einfach. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!
Super Loft-Wohnung in einer „Gated Community “! Sehr sauber und gepflegt! Die Wohnanlage ist ideal bei Anreise mit dem eigenem PKW, da ein Parkplatz innerhalb des Geländes vorhanden ist! Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war hervorragend! Die Wohnung liegt in einem dynamischen Viertel Londons mit guten Restaurants und zahlreichen Kneipen in nächster Umgebung zur Unterkunft. Trotzdem ist es weitestgehend ruhig! Die öffentlichen Verkehrs Anbindungen (Overground und Busse) sind locker zu Fuß erreichbar! Lange Rede kurzer Sinn: Alles super!
Für uns war die Unterkunft perfekt. Mit insgesamt 6 Personen (4 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) hatten wir alle ausreichend Platz. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Räume und die Ausstattung stimmt mit der Beschreibung überein. Mit dem Anbieter hatten wir eine schnelle und unkomplizierte Kommunikation. Das Zentrum von London ist gut erreichbar (ca. 35 MIN; mit Overground und Tube oder Bus). Der Stadtteil Dalston hat alles was man braucht: Supermärkte, Bars, Imbisse, Märkte,... Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen und entspannten Aufenthalt und kommen bald wieder.
Wir waren zu fünft für vier Tage in London. Die Wohnung hat gerade zu dem gepasst, was wir gebraucht haben: Drei separate Schlafgelegenheiten, zwei Badezimmer und ein schöner großer Wohnraum mit offener Küche.
Die Ausstattung ist gehoben, die Einrichtung liebevoll und Einkaufsgelegenheiten sind in Fußreichweite. Wir waren in 45 Minuten mit Overground/Underground im Zentrum.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert und vollständig. Hier gibt es nichts zu meckern - ein fairer Deal
