Comfortable and quiet place with everything you need. Easy to get out to trails and close to the cute town of Rangeley. We’d stay again. Responsive host.
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin with warm wood stove, and felt at home right away. What a nice place to relax and unwind, unplugged, and nestled in nature.
House location is perfect, only a few minutes from town and Saddleback in either direction. The house was clean, kitchen had everything you might need, and communication with the hosts was great. I would stay here again.
Great place for family whether visiting Rangeley area for skiing, hiking , boating or swimming. Board games, books, full kitchen with utensils, plates and cookware. Downtown is less than 10 min away and Saddleback Mountain is 10 min away. WiFi and Roku T.V.access. Loved the 2 decks to relax and breathe in the mountain air.
This is a lovely, private cabin in a beautiful wooded setting. Close to town and the Rangeley Lake attractions. Great communication with owner. My husband and I could see the Milky Way at night off the front deck and we enjoyed the sunrise in the morning off the back deck and in dining room. The only downside we had was there were flies we had to keep taking care of in the house, but from what I read that’s usual for this area. Although, would be nice if the owners could put more fly tape (or other options) around inside the cabin.

Thank you for the nice comments Kathy, but sorry you were inconvenienced by the flies. It is an issue this time of the year in that area of Maine. They are called cluster flies, and they try to find their way into houses in the autumn when it gets colder. Last year was much worse. This year, in effort to be pro-active, we paid $500 to have an exterminator spray the cabin a few weeks before your arrival. We stayed there ourselves the weekends before and after you did, and the flies were negligible. But, we take your comments seriously, and apologize for the issue.
Thank you for renting with us.
Great winter stay experience, will try to visit again in Summer
The property is clean and tidy, everything we need is provided and with sufficient supply. The host is so nice that every detail of the property we are interested in has been well communicated and answered in detail. Strong recommendation!
I want to thank Tom for being a great host, quickly responding to my questions, and truly taking care of the property. The chalet was clean and extremely well set-up. It had everything that we needed and more. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything I needed for cooking. The place was very quiet and relaxing. The town of Rangeley is 10 or so minutes away by car. There is a nice grocery store and a gas station right nearby. Tons of hiking trails and swimming spots (Rangeley lake, small falls, tumbledown mountain -- if you can climb it :-). Overall, this was my favorite vacation this year. I will see if I can come there again. Thank you!!!
My family and I had a wonderful experience at this rental. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. It is located a few miles from Saddleback, so we appreciated the out-of-town location at a very reasonable rate for 4 adults. We enjoyed using the woodstove after skiing and the full sized washer and dryer was a plus.
Thanks for reaching out, Tom, when the power went out in the area to make sure everything was okay and for making our stay great. We hope to be back in Rangeley in the duture and will definitely look into renting here again.
Clean, neat, and all the comforts of home. Proximity to the mountain is within a few miles. Everything was taken care of including plowing and plenty of wood for the wood stove.
We can't wait to return!
