Fantastic stay!

Beautiful property, easy communication with hosts, the house (in particular the kitchen) is very well stocked with everything one could need. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Family time!

Beautiful location, great property, comfy beds, well stocked! We had a wonderful family vacation at Rosehill Cottage. Everyone was able to be together but still have space to take a break.

We had a wonderful stay at Rosehill Cottage; it is cozy and inviting with absolutely beautiful views. The perfect place for quiet and relaxation. While it was just two of us, the cottage is big and would be perfect for larger gatherings. We're not tech savvy and were having issues setting up the TV (even though instructions were provided), Lisa and James were very quick to contact us and patiently guide us through the set up.

Cottage was incredibly well stocked with everything you need. Super clean when we arrived and the owner was fantastic to deal with. Lisa is super responsive and accommodating. My family had a fabulous time!

Fantastic stay at Rosehill cottage

We had a wonderful winter holiday with family at Rosehill Cottage - the cottage and location were perfect, and the cottage itself was so comfortable, well stocked, and we enjoyed a lot of relaxing, cozy 'down time' by the fire, with family visiting from England. Lisa was so welcoming and super helpful, highly recommend Rosehill Cottage, it was a wonderful stay!

Wonderful week at the lake

We spent the week with family at the lake, sharing meals in the fully equipped kitchen (it has everything and more!), fishing, enjoying the camp fire and swing in the screened in porch and swimming (there is no beach but you can enter at the end of the dock). The proximity to town made it easy as well. Thank you for a great vacation.

Lovely cottage

We had a wonderful time staying at the well appointed Rosehill Cottage and skiing in the Gatineau Park. Lisa went above and beyond is accommodating a day early move in due to a major snowstorm. We do all our own cooking and going the kitchen has everything we could possibly ask for. My entire group of 9 loved it, so comfortable

Beautiful, welcoming cottage

Rosehill cottage was so comfortable and clean and had every amenity you would want. It is relaxing and quiet with so much room! You can have your own space or gather together. We stayed in the winter and the fireplace kept things cozy. We would highly recommend staying here and will be back again.

Classic "Beautiful Chalet on the Lake"

Highly Recommended!! We couldn't have asked for a more picturesque place to stay to celebrate my husband's "big" birthday. Not only was the location ideal and the house stunning, but we were able to fit in ALL of the Toronto friends that drove in for the weekend, making it a fantastic reunion as well as an excellent stay. Can't wait to visit this place again...!!

A celebration of my mom’s 95th birthday

We made wonderful memories here in a cottage that has all the comforts of home and ever so much more. Family came from afar and were treated to truly, the best of cottage life. It was late March and the feeling was we had woken up on Xmas day again. We made it down to the Muskoka chairs and imagined a summer’s day and resolved to try to rally family to come here again. The hosts deserve special mention in how especially caring they were about my mother.

Wonderful cottage, wonderful hosts

This is our second time renting the cottage and I guess, that pretty much sums up everything. The cottage itself is spacious, and have lots of areas for people to gather together or to have a quiet space to themselves. The cottage has everything that one needs for the stay. Jim and Lisa are very friendly, reasonable and responsive. We highly recommend.

Perfect stay!

We were 2 families of 4, looking for a place to stay for family day weekend near Ottawa. Rosehill cottage was perfect for us - plenty of sleeping options, a lovely main room with a large fireplace and a well stocked kitchen for cooking our meals together. The view was magnificent, I can only imagine what it would look like in the summer. We were cross country skiing in the area and the snowy roads were well cleared and easily negotiated. Communication with the host was pleasant and prompt. It really was a perfect stay.

Perfect Family Getaway

A lovely cottage for our family gathering, spacious yet cozy, and in a perfect quiet lakeside location. Our favourite space in the cottage was the screened in porch. We had perfect weather May 9-15 and some of us were even brave enough for a quick swim in the lake. We loved sitting around the roaring fire in the living room each night. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Fantastic weekend with my sisters and mom :)

This was our 2nd visit to Rosehill Cottage. My 5 sisters and I brought our 90 year old mother her once again this year. The house is perfect for all of us and the main floor suite works well for mom. The views are fantastic and the setting is very relaxing. We are planning to return next year.

Family Paradise

This property and its owners delivered more than expected! We were delighted with our stay...the cottage is gorgeous, decorated with care, with every amenity and condiment you could ask for, a beautiful screened porch, and plenty of rooms for everyone. We canoed, swam, relaxed, cooked, and were close enough to Ottawa to attend family events and a wedding. So many happy memories. Thank you, Lisa and Jim.

Fantastic winter holiday

The stay at Rose Hill Cottage was exactly what we needed. Cozy, comfortable, clean and convenient. We stayed with our family of all ages and the layout was perfect. We were close to skiing, which is exactly what we hoped for. Every morning we had deer in the property. Sitting by the cozy wood fire, playing games or just listening to music was so relaxing. And the owners were so amazing to work with. So quick to respond to any question I had for them. Thank you Lisa and James.

Family trip to Canada

We loved the house right on Lake McGregor! Very spacious home; perfect for family and couples. The owners were very gracious with us as we came down with COVID shortly after our arrival. Everything you need is there. Stock up on food on the way in. My only recommendation would be to provide more cleaning supplies and trash bags as we would have loved to clean a bit while we were there to keep our family from spreading our germs. Loved, loved, loved the area though!

Wonderful stay

We had a fabulous time during our week stay. The cottage is equipped with everything you need. We were a large group of families and the kids loved playing upstairs in the loft! There was enough space for everyone to do their own thing. The owner was very kind and even dropped off extra paper towels and toilet paper when we were running low. The location is excellent, very close to Ottawa. Some of our friends even drove home to pick something up they had forgotten, it's that easy. There are nearby grocery stores and Costco is only 30 mins away when we had to do a large grocery run. Would highly recommend!

Rosehill Great

Rosehill was perfect for our 10 day stay in early June to celebrate a 70th birthday. We were 8 adults and everyone was amazed at the size of the Cummings cottage and very pleased with its comfort. Unfortunately, the weather was shaky for half our stay but everyone found a nook to have fun and avoid cabin fever. When the weather turned, our times down on the dock were spectacular. Lisa was very helpful when we had a couple of small matters that needed attention. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Rosehill for anyone looking for a very pleasant lakeside experience with a group of 8-10.

Val Des Mont cottage

Sisters getaway with mom

My 5 sisters and I have been taking our mom away each year for 19 years. Rosehill was the perfect house for us this year and are excited to rebook it for our 20th trip and mom's 90th birthday next year. The open concept kitchen/dining and living rooms are great for gathering and the house is large enough to give every private space when needed. The large deck was great for us, especially mom with her walker to sit and enjoy fresh air and the view of the peaceful lake. The waterfront sitting area and dock was a favourite quiet place morning, noon and night. Beautiful house that we are all excited to visit again
