We enjoyed the location and ability to ski in-ski out as well as being able to settle in for cozy evenings by the fire. The condo was clean, comfortable and well stocked and the host was responsive. Overall a great experience, thank you!
Host was very responsive. Great kitchen appliances, pots & pans. Full set of dishes/ cutlery so we could have a few meals before running dishwasher. Great location- super easy to ski on & ski off.
The condo was awesome! The direct slope access was awesome! This was the nicest, cleanest, best maintained, modern, cozy, spacious, with best slope access of any condo we've ever stayed in.

Nice & Close
Had a decent stay. Access to skiing is just about a 50-yard walk across the parking lot, and the hot tub is about a block away, but worth the walk.
Note that while they try hard to keep the roads plowed, there was one night where it had thawed during the day and froze at night, making it a challenge getting up the hill and into the condo parking. The road is uphill and windy to access the condo, but I made it on the third try after backing up and getting a run at it.
As for the condo, there was plenty of room for five of us. A couple of minor maintenance issues, but all in all, we enjoyed our stay. They left plenty of firewood outside for the fireplace, too!
If we ever go back to Sunday River again, I'd consider staying here another time.

Feels like Home, only Nicer!
Our family had a great time at this Locke Mountain Townhome for Thanksgiving 2013. Upon arrival, we found everything we could ask for, from trail maps to hair dryers to high-end furniture and dishes, all in excellent condition. Every couch had nice throw blankets and pillows, and the wood floors sported plush area rugs. It was tempting to just sit in the rocking chairs by the fire.
We arrived after dark and at first had trouble finding the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. It's actually a very short walk across the street if you exit the back door and turn right, but take a flashlight and watch your step. Once you use the access card (just hold it next to the lock) to get in the gate, head through the door on your right, and make sure one of the saunas is turned on; it can heat up while you are changing and using the pool. For us, splashing about in the 92 degree pool during snow flurries was especially fun and memorable.
The trail that runs right next to the parking area for this condo is Wildfire. Since it wasn't yet open during our November stay, we did have to drive back and forth to the lodge. The early-season skiing was quite good, with over 30 open trails, and then the family enjoyed lounging in the condo each day playing board games in stocking feet while sipping hot chocolate. We hope to return to this Happy Place in the future.
The property is located within a 100 yards of blue trails. The owners are excellent communicators. The property so well maintained and excellent for a large group of adults or a family.
My family and I will definitely book again based on availability.
The unit has a wonderful layout. There is a sitting/play room and a room with twin beds in the lower level. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms so we were all able to spread out. The unit is very clean and all of the furniture was in great shape. I had to contact Ashley a few times and she responded quickly. The ski trail is just a short walk. It's also a good spot to go snowshoeing.
House is only 100’ from the trail and your at two lifts in under 3 minutes. House was super clean and had everything needed including hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes. We had a group of 7 ppl had plenty of room and were able to eat together at a single table. I highly recommend.

First class
We enjoyed the condo immensely. Had a great Western States vibe. Fireplace and game closet were great features. Plenty of room for us to enjoy each other and also have some quiet time for Zoom calls.
The property was amazing and Ashley was so responsible to all our questions. Everything was as described only better. We have never stayed at such a well stocked VRBO..The kitchen with it's endless utensils and pots and pans and serve ware to the BR and cleaning products..A must for a comfortable relaxing trip to Maine. Thanks Ashley!!!
We are so thankful that we found this ski in/ski out rental - it couldn't have been a more perfect experience.
To begin with, the communication with the owner, Ashley, was spot on - she was quick to respond to all our questions regarding the property and knowing that we would be using the fireplace during the day and evening - made sure to have the wood bin filled before our arrival.
Upon arrival, battery operated candles were lit; the christmas trees were lit and it was a warm welcome to our ski getaway.
The condo was more spacious than we thought and had everything we needed. We cooked the four days we were there and found ample pots/pans and baking dishes. Wraps, baggies; cleaners and laundry detergent were also provided and an extra tooth brush and toiletry items were tucked in bathrooms in case guests forgot theirs.
The furnishings and bedding were all in great shape and with Covid and concerns about cleanliness - we came prepared with our own cleaners and disinfectant wands - but clearly, we didn't need to bring them because the condo was very clean which made us feel incredibly comfortable.
Location was great - even though we stayed early in the season and the closest trail was closed - our sons were still able to walk a short ways and pick up another. We will definitely stay here next time we return to Sunday River to ski!
Very comfortable for our family with kids. Loved the location and condo is well equipped. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location both for the slopes and the pool, great interior. Very comfortable
One of the closest units to the great outdoor heated pool and hottub. Good access onto wildfire for 30ft and then a green to the tempest lift. Nice interior.

Great Chalet - One of the Best!!!
Great property & really is ski in/ski out. I have rented ski homes for the last 25 years and this was one of the best. The reason is that many times the homes are not well appointed and don't have sufficient kitchen supplies, bedding, towels, etc. This house has it all! It is beautiful and I would definitely stay here again. Happy 2019 and happy turns!

The perfect home away from home!!
My family and I were traveling from Sweden to enjoy a New England winter experience at Sunday River and were thrilled to have found this spacious, cozy and luxurious townhouse right on the mountain! Located right off of the Cascades trail, we were easily able to ski in and out To warm up and check on our toddler son who felt right at home in the condo. (He loved the exposed staircase... Safe for him to climb!) The spacious basement was perfect for family movie nights and the open kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare our meals which we enjoyed in the comfortable dining area. Our favorite part was snuggling up by he fireplace after enjoying the hot tub and sauna which are located just across the driveway. The location is peaceful, the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are clean and the atmosphere is warm and rustic. Best of all, the owner Roy was wonderful at communicating with us and making us feel welcome. We highly recommend this rental and will definitely be back again!

A sking experience like no other
My family and I were looking for convenience, amenities and comfort. This property exceeded our expectations for all three. You don't get much better than total mountain access from your door step. No fighting for parking or shuttle ride here. We had stayed at other mountain accommodations in the past and found the amenities (Pool & Rec Room) to be crowded and not well maintained. It was the exact opposite with this property. They limit access to the wonderful heated indoor/outdoor pool to a small group of condo's so you are never fighting for space. That was a welcome change. The condo was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. We found the space was set up nicely with ample storage for ski clothing and gear in the mud room area and enough space for everyone to have their privacy when they want it. Cooking was easy in the open kitchen and we even had a nice sit down meal at the large dining room table. The on mountain food options were also super close which worked out well. The owner was a good communicator and answered all of our questions quickly, which made us super comfortable committing to this rental. We really couldn't ask for more and can't wait to visit again. A big thank you to Roy for making this piece of skiing heaven available. Looking forward to making it an annual trip!!!

Wonderful ski rental
We had a wonderful time staying at this condo during our one week ski trip to Sunday River. It was a good size, the basement bedroom and living room give it extra space and privacy. The condo feels much more like home than a rental, and the pool and hot tub are relaxing comfort after a cold day of skiing. It is quiet, convenient to the mountain, well-equipped, and the fireplace makes it extra cozy.
We can't wait to come back!

Great summer getaway!
This was a perfect getaway from busy Cape Cod, yet we found lots to do. We had the Condo complex, pool, and hot tub to ourselves which was great after a busy day of hiking, kayaking, or exploring the area.
The condo was beautiful and cozy and had everything we needed and the TV room downstairs was perfect for the kids to have their own space.
We hiked up to Table Rock and then cooled off and had a picnic at Screw Auger Falls. The Kayak Adventure was a highlight and lot fun for the day and we did some "mining" at Songo Pond. It's a beautiful area with lots to do and we'll bring our bikes along next time.

Gorgeous, Family Friendly Condo
We stayed at the condo for Thanksgiving holiday and will definitely be returning for another stay soon! We immediately felt at home because of the beautiful furniture and comfortable feel of the condo. Staying with our 4 children, we were thrilled that it was very kid friendly, especially the lower level with the family room. They could have fun & play without us worrying! The kitchen was stocked with any cooking utensil or pan you would need. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows! Even though we didn't use the fireplace, there was enough wood to have lasted our entire stay. We were thrilled to watch an amazing fireworks show from the back deck on Saturday night! Such a treat! The heated pool is a 2 minute walk down the road and we enjoyed it every night of our stay. The local town is quaint and has everything you would need. The playground and skate park were a big hit with our kids, as was the local craft fair and horse carriage rides. It's the perfect condo not only for skiing and enjoying the snow activities, but also for hiking and exploring the local town and surroundings! Our children can't wait to go back and neither can we!

Perfect!
Just a thank you to the owner Roy for letting us enjoy such a beautiful place. My family stayed at this condo last Fall and had such a great time I am looking it up again this year. It felt like home, not a generic hotel room. Our ages ranged from 2-75 years old and there was something to do for everyone. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook. The open floor plan allowed for everyone to be together while the women (sometimes men) prepared food in the kitchen. There was a beautiful view. What better way to wake up than looking out the window to see the mountains on a beautiful day.

Best place we've rented
We have been renting a ski place all over New England every Superbowl weekend for over 10 years and this is by far the best rental. Easy access to the ski trail - many places say they are ski in/ski out but you have to hike a half mile first! The place was clean, beds were made and basic supplies were well maintained. Pool and hot tub are an easy walk from the condo and the hot tub was oh so appreciated at the end of the day. The superbowl was a joy to watch on the big screen t.v. - and this year it was actually a good game even if the Patriots weren't in it! I will admit the skull over the bed freaked me out just a bit but the comfortable beds by far made up for that. Well worth the money! Now if New England could just get the snow DC is getting!
