We had a fantastic time staying here, Steven was extremely accommodating regarding check-in and the studio is very clean, with a great vibe. I would absolutely consider this place a top tier stay and would love to come back.
Room was fine, nice view over some hills. At check-in I was handed a phone by a non English speaking person with the property owner on the other end. This is a multi unit property with some longer term tenants as well, it seems.
We stayed here for a wedding we were attending nearby. The room was simple but very clean and had everything we needed. The location was great - convenient to downtown Hudson.
Close to town and to many trails. Clean, thoughtful accomodations. We'd love to go back and see everything in all the different seasons.

We were happy to host you. July is the month when we have strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and other produce our guests can harvest and prepare in your room's kitchen.

As soon as we pulled into the drive way my truck blew its water pump. Steven the owner of the property was amazing took my husband 3 times to town to get what he need to fix my truck. Room was very clean, quiet, we had a wonderful vacation inspite of my truck, because the owners were so kind, generous people.

It was such a pleasure to meet you folks. Hope we can meet again someday.

We were not aware of any air conditioner not working but will investigate and replace it if it is a problem. We are also in the process of converting to heat pumps which will conserve energy and they are vert quiet.
Thanks for your visit and sorry for any inconvenience.

The room was clean and nicely set up. However the space was tight and had no comfortable seating. .
Construction while we were there made it difficult to rest and enjoy the space.

We have added a fourth room and construction os almost complete, so things are better now. Two padded kitchen chairs and a saucer chair are available for seating. The rooms aren't large enough for a sofa.

The house for some reason is listed wrong on Google maps and we got lost. Thankfully our host was very helpful and we found the location thanks to his directions. The space itself is spotless on the inside and the host maximized using his space to the best of his abilities. Whatever I needed the host would always answer and provide in a timely manner. The location is only 10-15 minutes away from beautiful downtown Hudson,NY and other great hiking areas. Also during the summer season, the host claims that berries grow in the back and we can pick them, we definitely will take him up on that offer!
Place was poorly identified. No one was there when I arrived. No clear marking of home. Manager decided to leave at 4PM Friday. I arrived at 630PM with no one around. Wandered around the location and had to speak to neighbor as to wheee property actually was. Manager left me a text message at 1130PM TELLING ME THE ROOM NUMBER AND IT WAS in a mailbox. That information would only have been help for a tarot reader or soothsayer. Now the manager refuses to refund my payment and says since I was not there at time I gave that I might be there I will not be refunded. This is a matter for civil and criminal fraud authorities. Can I be clearer as a world traveller and resident of Columbia County for over 20 years. Let all consumers beware of Steven McKay and his properties. Either a real crook or a clearly grossly negligent property owner.
