Winter getaway

House was great for a long weekend away with friends and kids. The house was easy to access and everything was clean. I was not a fan of the firm memory foam mattresses, but other members of my group loved them. We would definitely consider booking again.

High country lodge

Lodge was just as advertised excellent location, very well stocked, only problem was we received how to dispose of garbage after we met the bears, we were waiting for bear proof garbage cans until we got an e-mail stating where bins were located. By the way the directions are wrong, if you make a left after the gate, the bins are within 500 feet on the left

Great property but...

Our family enjoyed the location and this is a pretty good house. We had however some issues during our staying. The A/C only worked for one day, this was one of the amenities that made us select this property and it was frustrating to sleep in a 80 degrees house. We contacted management about this issue and we didn't hear from them. We also found two cockroaches in the kitchen. We understand this is a property located in a wooded area and other bugs may be found, but not cockroaches.

July 12 - 19 2024

The house overall was just as advertised. Just one issue. It appeared to have a charcoal grill in the description, but when we arrived it was a gas grill, with the knobs all removed, so you couldn't use it. Disappointing since we brought steaks to have as dinner. Also most homes we've rented at least have salt and pepper for seasoning...so if you rent this house, bring your own salt and pepper. Other than that, great location and as advertised.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 Jul 2024
We appreciate your feedback Carolyn and apologize for the inconvenience with the grill and lack of basic seasonings. We will be sure to double check our listings as well as have the current grill assessed at the home to ensure it is in working order. We strive to provide an accurate and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we appreciate your business and hope you had an otherwise pleasant stay. Madison, Railey Vacations

Great experience

This was our first lake trip. We went with our family and friends and enjoyed the location and property. Had a fire with the wood present and loved the hot tub. Our weather wasn't the greatest but that's not on the hosts. Our kids had a blast and we loved the location!
