Welcome to your home away from home. Our newly remodeled and charming Coastal Casita is located at the heart of Golden Isles.This lovely house is located a few blocks from downtown Brunswick and a few minutes from St. Simons and Jekyll Island. Enjoy of the southern hospitality as you embrace the beaches of coastal Georgia, beautiful attractions, and delicious restaurants. This home has been accommodated for you and is traveler friendly. We are committed to your best experience at Coastal Casita.

Driveway and private parking

Welcoming screened porch leads inside to a large living room with 11 foot ceilings. The large master bedroom is off of the living room and has a walk in shower. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a large walk in shower.

2 queen beds and 2 twin bunk beds, 2 full bathrooms and half a bathroom, TV’s available in the living room and two queen bedrooms, high speed WIFI, full kitchen, nice porch, washer/dryer, tall and wide windows provide plenty of natural light, extra linens, hand soap, hair dryer, and towels

There’s a front porch with plenty of seating to enjoy your mornings and evenings. There’s a decent sized private backyard. The private backyard is fenced and has a fire pit, seating, and extra firewood.

The property is fenced on three sides.

Spring Break

Our family enjoyed our stay in Brunswick. The home is exactly as described and was clean with plenty of room for everyone. Coffee on the front porch was very nice in the mornings. We didn't use the fire pit, but our kids thought the backyard was nice. It is a great jumping off point to explore the Golden Isles.

Quick weekend trip

We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was easy and communication was great. The only thing that was negative was there were a couple of pieces of clothing left in the middle of the master bedroom which led us to believe that it wasn’t fully cleaned. I think maybe the cleaning crew accidentally left them behind. Other than that, everything was great.

Place was double booked

Very upset because we booked this several weeks before our trip, received confirmation and everything. We get to the place and ppl were already there, I called the host and asked them what the problem was. I was told they would look into it and all I go back after that was that they apologized for the double booking and would refund our money back..we drove 8 hrs to get there, we were tired and worst, no place to stay.

Got double booked. very upset.

We arrived at the house at the start of our stay and there was a group of guys already staying at our house. We realized that we got double booked and OUR GROUP was forced to relocate even though we booked first. VRBO did the right thing and found us a hotel for the night and then another house for the rest of the stay but the house they gave us was in a terrible part of town. A group of girls being forced to relocate to a sketchy, unsafe area when WE booked first is unacceptable. Not only this but we had several pre booked ubers to the original house that was had to just cancel and lose the money. We asked VRBO for at the very least a partial refund and they have given us little to no promises of any sort of arrangement. Very disappointed in VRBO and will not trust to book through this company again. Glad they found us another house and tried to make it right but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

We really enjoyed the fire pit. Re the house: the window on the front porch had a crack in it when we got there. The lightbulb over the stove is out. I will recommend it to anyone. and if we get back to Brunswick would enjoy staying there again. THANKS

Not A Good Stay Needs Attention

I was concerned when we arrived because of the neighborhood. There are many condemned houses & renovations in progress. I was surprised so close to SSI but it is downtown Brunswick. I didn’t realize it was a lower poverty area. But we had no issues with safety. This house has been flipped. The inside of the house is nice. Love the cabinets in the kitchen. Nice walk in showers. Awesome high ceilings. Very open feel. Cute beach wall art. I loved the old windows, I wish we could have opened them. But only 1 window in the house opens. I got very sick 2 days after I got there and we could prop open the front door but the back door going out was swarmed with mosquitoes and the metal door had no door knobs so you could not leave that open to get fresh air. Owner replied back to all my concerns quickly. The front two beds are too hard for me. One day we had the AC on and the second day we needed the heat. The heat gave off a very bad wet sock musky smell. I immediately told the owner and she said It was a newer system and that she would have someone take a look at it. Maybe the vents need to be cleaned out. I don’t know but it was a strong smell. My main concerns are that it rained our entire stay but one day. There are no slip pads on the front steps which have been painted and are very slippery. My 67 yr old Mom almost fell. Next morning of our stay we found about 15 baby roaches. Not palmetto bugs which are normal in Florida and Georgia but roaches! They were in the kitchen on the cabinets and crawling in the living room and bedrooms and it just left a very bad taste in my mouth. I did contact the owner immediately and she said she would send someone out to spray after us. Unfortunately I got very sick and had to extend an extra day because I had to stay near a bathroom but otherwise I probably would have left just because of the Roaches. I would suggest some sort of curtains or blinds in the window in the dining area because you can see straight into the windows of the house next-door. I would suggest something to put the wood for the fire pit in as we could never use it on the sunny day because it was out in the rain. Some sort of spray for the backyard for the mosquitoes would be great. A grill would also be nice. And extra extension cords luckily we had one with us and we could use it in the middle bedroom for the TV to work.

Eric, I want to start of by thanking you for booking with us. It was my absolute pleasure to host you. My main priority is the satisfaction of my guest in making sure they have the best stay. I am sorry to hear about your experience as previous guest have not had the same experience. In response to your review: 1. I have lived in Brunswick my whole life and Coastal Casita is not located in a lower poverty area. The house is located in one of the best parts of downtown Brunswick. 2. The entire A/C unit ( vents, ducts, filter, etc…) is completely new and was installed in October of 2020. That being said, the ‘cold’ setting had only been used during the season. A certified A/C technician said the reason for the smell was that the ‘heat’ setting had never been used and was firstly used during your stay. Since your stay the air has been filtered out and to smell does not reside anymore. I apologize for the smell. 3. The steps are painted with indoor/outdoor anti-slip floor paint. In addition to the paint I will install slip pads. 4. Thank you for letting me know of the roaches. We have made our pest control company aware of this matter and they will increase their number of visits. I apologize the weather was not pleasant during your stay. I will bare in mind the rest of your suggestions for future bookings. Once again, thank you for your review and booking. Juan

What a wonderful New Years vacation!

This home was very beautiful. It has suprisingly high ceiling, approximately 12 ft high, and very spacious rooms. The home decor is beautiful as well. We utilized the fire pit quite often and took in the fresh ocean air. The home had all the necessities one would need for a great stay as well of some beautiful welcome gifts. We were very pleased and will surely stay again when we come to visit. The area is quite ideal, close to many beaches, biking trails, horsebackriding, nature trails along the beach and more. We had a blast. We thank the owner for having us and helping us to create more family memories. I give the Coastal Casita 5 stars.
