Beautiful house

The house was amazing for the crew that stayed at the house. Although I couldn't be there, any questions that came up for the guys were immediately answered. Communication was top notch. They had a wonderful stay.

Leadership Retreat

Our church Leadership group had a retreat here and it was the PERFEECT place for our event! Every bedroom was spotless, comfortable, and nicely furnished! Bathrooms were great - everyone had their own space and the common areas were fantastic as well. Checking in and out were a breeze - just can't say enough good things about this place. If you are considering it for an event - don't hesitate! You will love it!

Fabulous Place

We stayed at the property for Memorial Day weekend in 2022. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Kim is the most thoughtful, gracious host. She provided us with all the information we needed. John showed us around the property and made himself available if we needed help during the stay. The property is just perfect for large get togethers! Kitchen is spacious and contains everything one needs. All bed rooms are spacious as well. The master bedroom is awesome. One thing we missed is sofas in common areas. There are none, plenty of chairs though. Kim had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. She went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable.

Lucy's Hacienda is a 65 acre Hacienda Ranch estate built in the 1970s by the beloved Walling family from Mt. Vernon Texas. Lucy Walling was the wife of Dr. Otto Walling, the town physician. Many parties, pictures and good times were had at the Hacienda during their ownership. My husband and I purchased the estate with the intent of returning the Hacienda back to the event venue and overnight stay hospitality of Lucy Walling. Though, living up to the standards she is impossible - we hope that our efforts would have made her proud.

Lucy's Hacienda is full of spanish detail and charm. From the saltillo tile, to the wooden ceilings, to all the ceramic details of of the latin culture. If you like something different, something special, something romantic, something a little more ethnic - than you will love Lucy's Hacienda.

Lucy's Hacienda is an easy 1 hour away from Dallas, minutes away from Lake Cypress Springs (a gorgeous top 10 lake in Texas), minutes away from downtown Texas square shopping and restaurants, and right in the middle of rural Texas with areas to run, walk, read a book and look at the stars.
